Moving to a metro area was a pleasure! We've owned many SUVs, including Jeeps and larger vehicles like the Tahoe, but the Fiat 500 X has been a game changer. During one of the worst blizzards I've ever seen in the Midwest, the Fiat 500 X handled better than anything else I've ever driven, except for a Subaru Outback. I felt incredibly safe and secure in the vehicle, and it handled the closed interstate with ease. The front seats are incredibly comfortable and luxurious, although the backseat has minimal legroom. The finish is nice, and the steering wheel is incredibly comfortable. While the motor is a little weak for acceleration, it does the job in the city. Compared to its sibling, the Jeep Renegade, the Fiat 500 X is a much more luxurious and cute car with greater personality. The ride is better due to the difference in suspensions, and with the usual discount of about five to $7000 off the sticker price, it's a great value. I would definitely buy another one, especially once they offer adaptive cruise control!

The initial quality and overall performance of the car are excellent. The ride and appeal are much better than expected, making it truly a fun car to drive and very functional.

To begin with, I'm a car enthusiast who has owned around 20 cars at the age of 33. Although I tend to switch cars frequently, I was immediately drawn to the 500x after conducting thorough research. It offers everything I desire in a car without breaking the bank and is packed with character. Despite initial concerns about the 9-speed transmission and Fiat's reputation, my experience with the car has been nothing but positive. In the year that I've owned it, I've put over 17k miles on it without any issues. I opted for the Trekking AWD with every available option, including the active safety features, and have been impressed with its performance. The forward crash mitigation has saved me twice, and the AWD system performs well off-road and in the snow. The car remains comfortable and reliable, even in stop-and-go traffic and long highway commutes. The interior material quality is excellent, and the stereo is decent. Although there are some build quality issues, such as occasional vibrations at idle and a low driver's door armrest, the car's fun and personality more than make up for it. The infotainment system occasionally freezes, but it's easily reset, and the MPG could be better, but I'm still getting better than the sticker claims. Overall, I would highly recommend this car to anyone. I absolutely adore it and am constantly amazed that companies like Land Rover, VW, and Ford can produce cars that are known to be reliability nightmares, yet people still flock to buy them, while Fiat has an undeserved bad reputation when they're no worse than a typical car.

I recently purchased a 2018 pop manual transmission and it is a real beauty. I highly recommend this car. It's perfect for everyday use and comfortably seats up to five adults. No need for a huge van when you have this normal-sized car!

I've been driving my SUV for about 2 years now. I purchased it from a used car lot in 2018 with only 10,000 miles on it. Unfortunately, it had the current oil burning W80 recall on it and it took about 8 months to get the part in. However, I'm happy to report that it has been repaired and is running perfectly again. I had to trade in my 2016 Abarth only because the dealership didn't have the right tool to reset a certain part that affected the speed. (This is in DFW.) Although the Fiat-Romero in my area closed down, I still love my Fiat. If you have a Trekking 500X 2012 to 2019 and are experiencing fuel burning at an inconsistently high rate, take it to the nearest Jeep-Dodge-Chrysler-Fiat Dealership. They will need to do a fuel consumption test. Until the new long take block engine comes in, you will have to keep refilling the oil about 2.4L every 3k. I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to bring to your attention an issue I have been experiencing with my 2017 FIAT 500x Trekking car, which I purchased from Peake Chrysler in Sodus NY 14551. Unfortunately, the car has been spending a lot of time in the shop due to a heating issue. Although the dealership has been working to fix the problem, it has not yet been resolved. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide in resolving this matter. Thank you for your time and attention to this issue.

This car has unfortunately experienced some issues, and despite multiple visits to the dealership for service, the problem has not yet been resolved. It is frustrating that FCA has not taken action to address these known issues.

These vehicles do not have good horsepower. My grandmother's car is better. The transmission lags behind badly. Sometimes I have to slow down because it's not shifting gears properly. The gas mileage, in my opinion, is not good. It seems like I'm always putting gas in it. My best advice is to not try to pull out in traffic and think it's going to get up and go because it won't. I am disappointed badly.

I leased the vehicle in December 2016. Unfortunately, the car had engine lights come on and had to be towed within 24 hours of getting it home. I was told there was a bad sensor in my side view mirror. About 2 months later, while driving with my kids on the highway, a “drive mode unavailable” warning came on. I was left stranded on the highway with 2 small children in a new car. They came and towed it, but I never got a clear answer for the problem. I told them to check the transmission, which they said was “fine”. They returned the car to me with the warning light off over a week later, but the transmission was worse than ever. The jerking that occurs from the stop position to first gear is horrible, and it is like driving in a manual transmission car with someone learning how to shift. As someone with a neck injury, some days driving this car is like torture. I have owned other Chrysler family vehicles in the past with no issues, so I never dreamed I would be this disappointed. I travel for work and drive rental cars three weeks a month, and I don’t see this problem with other manufacturers. Also, if you are having troubles, don’t expect help from any other dealerships in the Chrysler family. They like to defer you to only Fiat dealerships, which are few and far between.
