Challenger production ended on December 22, 2023, and the Brampton, Ontario assembly plant will be re-tooled to assemble an electrified successor.

These inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling. An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM owners. Mitsubishi owners will be notified by their company. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S43. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V-7700.

The affected vehicles are equipped with a dual-stage driver frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture.
- Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on November 17, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is R37.

I completely agree, Chrysler hit the nail on the head with this one! The acceleration is absolutely thrilling, and the car is incredibly comfortable and stylish. Unlike BMWs, Porsches, and Mercedes, the Challenger has a unique and eye-catching design that really stands out. The hand-stitched leather and painted orange engine block are just a couple of the many impressive features. Plus, it's not just a show car - I use it for my daily commute, moving my daughter to college (thanks to the fold-down back seats), and going out to dinner. And when I hit the gas, it leaves 99% of other cars in the dust! It's like Clark Kent transforming into Superman!

This car is a true game-changer. It delivers on its promises and surpasses the Charger in every way. I took it on a 1500 mi trip right after getting it and it was awesome on the road. Passing other cars was great fun and watching people get self-inflicted whiplash when you go by them was a real treat. Although there is a lot of plastic up front, it doesn't detract from the car's overall performance. I had it up to around 125 mph on the desert highway and it still had more to give, but my wife gets nervous. Mine is black without the sunroof or NAV, and I don't miss either one. The seats are fine for sitting and driving, but not for getting comfy when you lay back. I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase and have no regrets whatsoever.

What a fantastic car! The power, handling, and comfort are simply unbelievable. Everywhere we go, people are drawn to its pure beauty. I've clocked a 0-60 at 5.3 seconds, although I've heard that 4.9 seconds has been recorded. Truly, it's one awesome ride!

I must say that I have driven muscle cars all my life. However, I have never come across a car that is as powerful, comfortable, and reliable as the new Challenger SRT8. It is a car that is loved by people from all walks of life and it lets many of us older boomers relieve our young adult childhood. Comparing it to my old 1970 Cuda, I must say that the Challenger SRT8 is much more comfortable and reliable. Even on the highway, I never got 20 miles to the gallon with my old car. If you have a chance to test drive an SRT8, I highly recommend it! Thank you for considering my opinion.
