Chevrolet Traverse problems
The Chevrolet Traverse is a full-size crossover SUV with three-row seating built by General Motors. It is built on the same platform as the GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave, known as the Lambda platform for the first generation, and the C1XX for the second generation. It also shares the C1XX platform with the Cadillac XT6. It is the successor to the TrailBlazer body-on-frame SUV and the Uplander minivan.
The second-generation model debuted in showrooms in the summer of 2017. Starting with the 2019 model year, the Traverse was slotted above the new mid-size Chevrolet Blazer as part of Chevrolet's plans to expand its SUV lineup.
The Traverse name was originally used for a concept car at the 2003 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, but that concept gave way when the Equinox launched for the 2005 model year.

Vehicle year: 2020
I've read some of the negative reviews, and I think some buyers may not have done their research or taken a proper test drive. The Traverse is a comfortable and spacious SUV with excellent sightlines and great road holding. The steering weight and vehicle tracking are just about perfect - not too light, not too heavy. The Traverse holds a straight line without requiring constant little adjustments, which is something I found very annoying in a Hyundai Palisade I test drove. The cargo space behind the third row is good, and with both rows folded, it's positively huge - almost 100 cubic feet. The Traverse has a real transmission with 9 speeds, and it shifts effortlessly with no hesitation or clunks. I've owned several brands of SUVs, including Subaru and Toyota Highlanders, both of which were high-quality vehicles. However, the Traverse is the best vehicle I've ever owned. After only two days, everything was intuitive. The infotainment/information system works very well, and the Sirius/XM radio (Bose system with 10 speakers) is a real audio pleasure. One reviewer thought the Traverse was very difficult to see out of, but I'm six feet tall and actually believe the view out the front and all around the vehicle is excellent. I have no problem changing lanes left to right and being able to confirm that there is nothing in the blind spot. The BSM is fine, but all of them only light up when a vehicle is very close. I can easily check visually with no problem whatsoever. The seats are very supportive and comfortable, even on a long drive, and the armrests are positioned properly. Remote start is a plus in our cold western NY winter, and the Traverse heats up fast and provides good climate control options. My cell phone paired effortlessly, and the garage door opener button was also easy to activate. If you're looking for an SUV with a large cargo capacity, I don't think you can find better than the Traverse. You can seat 7 or 8, and I highly recommend the leather interior.Drive it and decide for yourself.

After researching 7 passenger options for a couple of months, we finally found the perfect fit. We had some concerns with our previous car, a 2013 Traverse, but the 2018 model fixed all of them and added even more capabilities and features. Although we could have settled for a 2017 model, we decided to wait for the 2018 model and we're glad we did. We ended up choosing the High Country over the Premier, as the small price difference of $51k vs. $54k was worth it for the additional safety features like adaptive cruise and the polished aluminum wheels. The twin rear axle clutch, power third row, and exterior trim were also great features that we loved. Since we plan on keeping the car for a few years, we thought it was worth the investment. The dealer also provided a larger discount which helped us make our decision. We're still loving the car and the mileage has exceeded our expectations. The adaptive cruise and lane assist are great features, and the lights are superior. Overall, we're very happy with our purchase and would highly recommend Chevy to anyone.

Vehicle year: 2014
This 2013 Traverse drives incredibly well. The interior is extremely quiet and the ride is tight and firm. It's a great improvement compared to my previously owned, overpriced Mercedes 320 CDI which was a maintenance disaster. Overall, we give this truck an A+ for its comfort, quality, look, and feel.

The 2010 Traverse AWD vehicle has been a great car for my family. We absolutely love the spaciousness, the comfortable seats, and the AWD. We've taken it skiing 8 times and it has never slipped once in the snow or ice. The handling of the car is impressive, especially considering its size and weight. We haven't experienced any maintenance problems or strange noises yet, but it's still relatively new. The 20

Vehicle year: 2019
After conducting extensive research on the Traverse and its competitors, we ultimately decided on the Traverse with RS trim. It had all the features we wanted and needed, including leather seats, surround vision, an upgraded sound system, and 20” black wheels. We have been driving the vehicle for a week now, and so far, we are impressed. This is just a preliminary review. We noticed no significant drop in acceleration with the 4 cylinder turbo engine, and it actually has slightly more torque than the 6 cylinder models. However, we do not recommend this engine for heavy towing. The bonus is better gas mileage around town. Initially, we were considering the LT Leather Trim (3LT), but we discovered at the last minute that Chevrolet had made some changes between the 2018 and 2019 model years. They removed many standard features from the 3LT trim, including the surround vision! Unfortunately, most reviews only talk about the 2018 model and what was standard on the 3LT, and the change in standard features for 2019 was very hard to come across. The Chevrolet website defaults to the 2018 model when comparing trims, and the salespeople may not be aware of this. It’s almost as if Chevrolet doesn’t want people to know. It seems odd to remove standard features instead of adding them over the years. If you want the 3LT leather trim and features such as surround vision, you need to add the new LT Premium package for a little over $3K. However, this is just an add-on and not a trim, so it may be difficult to find online. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to find an RS with the color and features we wanted at the dealership. As with any auto purchase, it is important to verify all important features on the exact vehicle you would like to buy, especially before traveling a long distance to a dealer or ordering sight unseen.

Although I initially had a positive experience with my used car purchase, unfortunately, after only 6 months and 35,000 miles, the transmission failed and I experienced issues with the back windows. Despite my appreciation for the layout of the traverse, I cannot recommend it due to its lack of reliability.

Quick, great mileage, roomy, and lots of gadgets. Although the check engine lights came on at 300 miles, I'm hoping it's not a nightmare with a $50,000 car.

This car has some serious issues that you should be aware of. The transmission doesn't downshift after a stop, which can be dangerous in certain situations. For example, if you're at a stop sign on a 55 mph road and you see a vehicle coming, it's not safe to pull out and accelerate quickly because the transmission won't downshift. This means you won't have the power to go faster and could end up in a dangerous situation. Additionally, the AC can only be run when the computer allows it, which can be frustrating and even dangerous if your windows fog up while driving. These are known problems that GM has refused to fix, which is disappointing. It's better to buy a vehicle from another brand that prioritizes safety. I hope this information helps you make an informed decision when purchasing a car. I decided to decline the trade-in offer because the value was much lower than expected. I didn't want to risk being taken advantage of again. As a result, I will be responsible for any repairs my Traverse may need in the future. :-)

I've owned this car since it was new and have driven it for about 75k miles. While it's a great car for carrying cargo and people, I've had a few maintenance issues that I'd like to share. Firstly, there was a computer issue that forced the car into limp mode repeatedly between 20-30k miles. It took three service repairs before they replaced the computer and the problem went away. Although it was a bit scary when it happened on the highway, the issue was eventually resolved. Secondly, there was an A/C line leak that occurred around 30k miles. Fortunately, it was still under warranty and the whole line was replaced. Unfortunately, the same issue has occurred again at 73k miles. Lastly, the radio stopped working and only AM stations come in. Despite these issues, I still love this car for its cargo space and hauling capabilities.

This car has had some significant issues, including a transmission replacement at 90,000 miles and now needing new belts for $2500 at 110,000 miles. The engine needs to be taken out due to valve issues. It is clear that improvements need to be made in GM's vehicle production. It may be wise to consider other options before purchasing a GM vehicle. Thank you for considering this information.
