I took my car to Auto Zone to have the battery tested and they said it was fine. I had my mechanic check on Monday 10/14/24, and it turns out the alternator was indeed bad. S

I recently test drove several vehicles in the market and found that the 2021 Chevy Traverse RS model had the most spacious interior. The driving experience was smooth and it was one of the fastest vehicles in its class. It meets my family's towing needs as it can tow up to 5,000 pounds. While some professional reviews criticize the quality of the interior, I personally found nothing superior in the Hyundai or Kia interiors. I highly recommend the all-weather mats for the interior to keep it clean and tidy, especially if you have kids or pets. Skiing and snowboarding is a breeze with the AWD. Although it is not an off-road vehicle like a Jeep or 4-runner, it can handle most family adventures. I have driven this vehicle for 15,000 miles and it averages about 19 mpg with no mechanical issues. The infotainment center has worked great with only minor issues. The wifi Hotspot, which can be paid for through OnStar, does not work great in my area due to poor AT&T coverage. The biggest weakness I have experienced with this vehicle is the blindspot, but the RS model comes with a side mirror that lights up when there is a car in your blind spot. Overall, I believe that this is the best family midsized SUV available in the market.

The Traverse is surprisingly spacious inside, comfortably seating 4 people and up to 6 or 7 in a pinch. The tow package is modern and hidden until needed, and the space under the back for storage is impressively deep. We opted for the LT leather package, which strikes a great balance between value and luxury. USB chargers are conveniently located throughout the vehicle. While the plastic mats may be popular these days, they're not really our style. The AWD system is impressive, with a 4X4 selector switch, but we typically leave it in 2 wheel drive. Bought new in 2014 and still rolling strong! I've kept up with regular oil changes and filter maintenance, and it's been problem-free even at 48,000+ miles. It's been a great car for toting the kids around to daycare and sports, and as of 12/12/2019, it's still going strong and my wife loves it. Amazingly, I haven't even had to change the battery since I bought it. Now it has 64,000 miles and still running smoothly.

I'm so glad you're considering a Traverse! We've had ours since July 2016 and have driven it in every climate and weather extreme. After testing out several other vehicles in its class, including the Honda Pilot, Volvo XC70, Subaru Outback, and Toyota 4runner, we ultimately chose the Traverse for its spacious interior, impressive cargo capacity (over 100 cubic feet!), and top-notch entertainment features. We were able to snag the 2LT trim line, which boasts four captain's chairs and a third row all clad in soft leather. Plus, we got an amazing deal during the 20% off sale - we walked out the door at $28K for a $42K vehicle! If you're active duty military, you'll definitely want to take advantage of Chevy's unbeatable incentives. Keep an eye out for reduced prices on the 2017s as the new 2018s are getting a new body design. We've taken our Traverse on some pretty epic road trips, including a drive from PA to our new home in AR and a trip from AR to FL during a heat wave with heat indexes over 110 degrees. The Traverse kept our whole family comfortable and happy, from our 4-year-old granddaughter to our 15-year-old and 25-year-old. With vents in all three seating areas and second and third row climate control, it's the perfect vehicle for summer months. We also took a winter vacation from AR to MT during a big winter storm that came through before Christmas. Despite encountering whiteout conditions, 50 mph crosswinds in WY, and general winter conditions, the Traverse held up like a champ. I was able to drive over 1,000 miles on our first day without any lower back or leg pain, thanks to the Traverse's comfortable design. The AWD is amazing at keeping traction where it's needed, and the road noise is almost nonexistent. We didn't experience any little creaks or rattles whatsoever, even in the coldest temperatures (ranging from 40 degrees to minus 15).On our return trip through WY, I was able to cruise at 85mph with the Traverse holding at about 2k rpms. It had no problem staying in gear even at high speeds. After 10k, the combined fuel economy is 20.2 MPGs. I purposely did not reset the 'gallons of fuel used' in the driver information center so I could get an accurate number later on. The Traverse has plenty of power at highway speeds for passing. The side blind spot sensor is a big help as the vehicle layout does present a significant blind spot and is tricky when passing. Overall, this is hands down the best family vehicle that we have owned. I cannot find a single negative thing to say about it.

Despite the challenges we have faced with this car, we have taken proactive steps to address each issue as it arises. We have invested in replacing faulty airbag sensors, alternators, and a torque converter. Although we recently experienced an issue with the a/c on the right side and rear, we are confident that we will be able to resolve it. We have even taken the car to the dealership to ensure that we are doing everything we can to maintain its performance. While we have invested a significant amount of money in these repairs, we are committed to ensuring that this car continues to serve us well.

I purchased this car from Roundtree Moore Chevrolet in Lake City, Florida on 08/04/2018. Unfortunately, on 08/06/2018, the front passenger seat stopped working while I was on my way to Atlanta. I stopped at Roundtree and they were able to fix it quickly. However, on 08/16/2018, before leaving for Atlanta, the right front headlight stopped working. I stopped at Roundtree on the way and they tried to fix it for 3 hours but couldn't. I asked the sales rep about getting another car, but they were unable to help. On my way back home on 08/18/2018, the driver's seat stopped working. I took the car to the dealer near my home in Valrico, Florida, and they had the car from 08/20/2018 to 08/24/2018. After a week in the shop, they called me at 4:15 pm to let me know the vehicle was fixed. Although I have been a long-time GM owner for 50 years, I am disappointed with the recent electrical problems. I have contacted GM and talked to lemon law lawyers, but GM said since it was fixed, they have no obligation for a buyback and blamed it on the dealer. I hope that GM will take responsibility for their product and provide better customer service in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with my car. Unfortunately, I've had some issues with the stability controls and it has shut off without warning a few times. These problems started within the first 25000 miles. I've had to spend a day shutting off the car to have the computer reset and then drive until it happens again. I spoke to the service team and they told me that this is a common issue with these cars, but it's not covered under the GM settlement. It's actually a separate issue that is in the early stages of litigation.

It is unacceptable that our Traverse has had multiple issues, including a shot transmission at just 117k miles. This is a common problem that should have been addressed with a recall. As loyal customers who supported GM during their difficult times, we expected better. We are disappointed and do not have the budget to cover the repair costs. We recommend purchasing an extended warranty if considering this vehicle. Despite a recall being issued, we have already spent money on repairs and do not qualify for reimbursement. Additionally, we have experienced ongoing issues with the electrical system, side mirror controls, cowl cover, side window controls, and rear passenger speakers. We have not been able to afford repairs for over a year. The dealership has offered to buy back our Traverse, but we decline as we do not want to purchase another vehicle that requires extensive rebuilding and fixing. In contrast, our Subaru, which is five years older, has had minimal maintenance issues and is in excellent condition.

My 15 year old Tahoe had an impressive 256,000 miles on the odometer before experiencing a transmission failure. Despite this setback, I remain confident in the vehicle's overall durability and longevity. While waiting on the side of the road with a car that doesn't even have plates yet was frustrating, I am certain that this is just a minor setback in the grand scheme of things.
