The Chevrolet Traverse is a full-size crossover SUV with three-row seating built by General Motors. It is built on the same platform as the GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave, known as the Lambda platform for the first generation, and the C1XX for the second generation. It also shares the C1XX platform with the Cadillac XT6. It is the successor to the TrailBlazer body-on-frame SUV and the Uplander minivan.

I’d like to know there were any other recalls that were “fixed” I’m not the first owner of this vehicle. I want to know what else I can do before going and buying a part. We traded our 2011 Chevy Equinox for a 2013 1LT Traverse and we absolutely love it! The SUV has great acceleration and the ride is incredibly smooth. My wife is the primary driver of this vehicle, but I have no problem feeling comfortable in it either. We considered a Tahoe, but the limited cargo space was a deal breaker. It seemed like we wouldn't even be able to fit a gallon of milk back there! The Traverse has been an excellent investment and we're excited to take many road trips in it!

I recently purchased a Chevy Traverse in May and just returned from a trip from Florida to New York and back. I must say, it was an amazing experience! The ride was smooth and the handling was great. The acceleration was impressive and the sound system was top-notch. The seats were firm yet comfortable, and the interior was roomy with great tech features. I was particularly impressed with the adaptive cruise control- it was a game-changer! I was able to average about 27 MPG, which is pretty impressive for an SUV of this size. While some reviewers have mentioned unattractive interior panels, I personally think it looks great. The only downside is that the view to the right rear quarter is a bit obstructed, but the wide view rear mirror covers that area pretty well. Overall, after almost 4K miles, I think Chevy did an amazing job with this SUV. The only thing I would suggest is that Chevy adds an audible indicator to the lane change alert system when you put your blinker on. Update- It's now been 10 months since I've had the Traverse and I still love it! It's comfortable, has a great ride and handling, and I have not had a single complaint. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone in the market for a 3 row SUV.

You'll love the Traverse! I recently traded in my Toyota Sienna for it after doing a lot of research and comparing it to the Hi Lander and Honda Pilot. The Chevy Traverse won out by far. It's perfect for vacations with plenty of room for passengers and luggage. The 3.6 engine has plenty of power for highway driving and the third row seating has ample room for adults, unlike the Hilander where it's pretty much useless. I have the 2 LT which has a few more bells and whistles, such as heated seats, my link Chevy radio with Bose speakers, and ambient lighting below the dashboard - a really nice touch. The technology features are the best. I highly recommend this SUV. GM has come a long way and the quality shows.

We bought 13 traverse and love everything about it. We owned a 07 Acadia and these two are day and night. The traverse is a lot quieter and handles a lot better. We are very impressed! Would definitely buy another one!

Until today, I have loved so many things about this car. It's absolutely gorgeous and has enough room to accommodate my family comfortably. The gas mileage is fairly decent for its size and being a V6. However, I have experienced some brake noise since the day I bought it. I learned that GM has a document regarding this issue, but it's not a huge deal. I took it to the shop to address this, but since the brakes normally make noise before they warm up, the mechanics haven't been able to experience it yet. They did find that all four of my tires were bad, but of course, that's not Chevy's fault. A couple of days ago, it started making an awful noise after having it serviced for the first time. Unfortunately, I found out today that the transmission is bad and will need to be replaced. I'll be without my vehicle for possibly three weeks, which is a little too soon to be dealing with major issues. I'm just hoping that once I get it back, I won't have any other major issues any time soon.

I purchased this certified preowned vehicle in the spring of 2016 with 37k miles on it. Unfortunately, I have experienced a number of issues throughout my ownership, including airbag failure, multiple electrical system failures, transmission replacement, and various leaks. Additionally, it burns about a quart of oil every 500 miles and the washer fluid reservoir is broken. The vehicle gets about 14 mpg city and 16 mpg highway. While my children and I have joked about seeing other Traverse vehicles on the side of the road, it's not a laughing matter. Ultimately, I decided to purchase a minivan from another manufacturer. I am a loyal GM customer and have owned several GM vehicles, including two Saabs, a Tahoe, an Equinox, and now a Traverse. Unfortunately, we recently discovered that the transmission in our Traverse is faulty, just before the warranty expired at 110,000 miles. Despite being told that we are not considered 'loyal' customers, we reached out to GM for assistance. Although the dealership's resolution was not satisfactory, we are still waiting for a response from GM. As a family, we rely heavily on our vehicles, and it is disappointing that we cannot depend on a 5-year-old car. However, I am confident that GM will address this issue and provide a satisfactory solution. After all, I have owned Saabs in the past, and their transmissions never failed.

Despite faithfully maintaining it with the same dealer for four years, you have encountered several problems, including a power steering pump failure and a catastrophic transmission failure without warning. We understand how frustrating this must be, especially since you still owed money on the original loan. We hope that GM will take responsibility for these issues and work with you to find a solution. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.I recently paid $5K for a 7-year-old vehicle, which is quite a lot considering that we paid $17K for it back in 2014. Unfortunately, the vehicle has failed completely, and I am now in contact with GM Customer Service (the incident is now at Tier 2 Cust Service) to try and resolve the issue. As a 5-time Chev owner who just bought a Silverado from them, I am disappointed that this has happened. In this day and age, it's unacceptable for a vehicle with this age and mileage to fail so completely. I hope that GM Customer Service will be able to help me out. I've owned my 2011 Traverse for 3 years now. Unfortunately, once the vehicle hit 50k miles, I started experiencing some issues. I had to invest in a $1400 power steering rack, and even after that, the car still doesn't handle or drive as well as it used to. Now, I'm starting to have suspension problems as well. It's frustrating to see GM continue to sell these vehicles with known issues. I've read hundreds of reviews with people experiencing the same type of problems. I would caution anyone against investing their money in GM vehicles. What I thought would be a good crossover for my family of 6 has turned out to be a bit of a nightmare.
