- Summary: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2007-2011 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado 1500, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, Yukon XL, and 2009-2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, Silverado 3500, GMC Sierra 2500 and Sierra 3500 vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in the states of Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), and the U.S. Virgin Islands or "Zone A." Additionally, GM is recalling certain 2007-2008 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado 1500, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, Yukon XL vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia or "Zone B." These vehicles are equipped with non-desiccated passenger frontal inflators containing phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate (PSAN) propellant. These inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
- Consequence: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflator with an alternate one, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed on February 22, 2021. Second notification letters will be mailed once the remedy is available. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 1, 2021. - Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado HD, Silverado LD, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra LD, Sierra HD, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the ignition lock actuator may bind, making turning the key difficult or causing the ignition to get stuck in the "Start" position.
- Consequence: If stuck in the "Start" position, the ignition may suddenly snap back into the "Accessory" position, causing a loss of engine, steering, and braking power, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. If the vehicle is in a crash, the air bags may not deploy, increasing the risk of occupant injury.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the ignition lock housing, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on February 12, 2015. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-458-8006 (Cadillac), 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). This is the ultimate vehicle for travel! It's roomy, comfortable, and has great visibility. The seating is arranged comfortably for four passengers on long trips and is adequate for six on shorter trips. Plus, the engine is bulletproof and there are no problems with the powertrain in general.

This is a very capable car overall. It has excellent cargo capacity and third row room, which is especially important for a family of 8 and three dogs, all of which fit comfortably. However, it is lacking a third row that folds flat, which is crucial in its class. Additionally, it does not have one-touch windows, which can be a bit annoying. Despite these minor drawbacks, it is still a good car overall.

I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to share my experience with my new Cadillac Escalade ESV. I absolutely love it! It's definitely the best SUV I've ever owned. The handling is dynamic, the interior is superior, and the engine is powerful. Compared to my previous SUVs, this one is in a league of its own!

I just bought a new ESV and I absolutely love it! It's a pleasure to drive and has great comfort. The only downside is the sound, but that's only because it has a Bose sound system. If you're looking for a car, I highly recommend this one :)

We've had our car for about 20 months now, since we purchased it used with only 2800 miles on it. Unfortunately, the Bose stereo stopped working this week and the dealer informed us that it isn't covered under warranty. Additionally, we've noticed some wear and tear on the plastic trim around the windows and the driver's seat leather. Despite these issues, we still love our car, especially for long road trips. While the gas mileage isn't great in the city, it performs well on the freeway. We do think that the new car price is a bit steep, so we recommend looking for a low-mileage used car with a warranty. It's also important to find an independent repair facility that can work with the warranty, as we've found that dealerships don't always understand the quality of American-made cars. We do wish that the paint quality was as high as what we have on our Lexus.

I am an avid Escalade cheerleader and have owned one for seven years. Recently, I decided to buy the 2007 model. However, I was disappointed with the interior as the soft plush seats were replaced with flat and uncomfortable ones. Maneuvering it in tight parking spots can be a bit challenging. Although it comes with great features such as 22s, navigation, XM radio, and two DVDs, it's important to have a good base package. In my opinion, the 2007 Escalade is not a true Cadillac. If you're looking to buy one, I suggest saving your money and buying a 2003-2006 model of Escalade. I promise you won't be disappointed!

I have owned my 2007 ESV for almost a year now and unfortunately, I have been extremely disappointed with my purchase. Despite spending almost $70,000 on it, the vehicle is much louder than I expected. As a company that prides itself on having 'the quietest ride ever', I was surprised to find that it is actually the loudest vehicle I have ever been in. The wind noise is so bad that I am already considering trading it in. I have taken it to the dealer five times, but unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved. I would advise against purchasing this ESV until some major changes are made.

Firstly, I must say that the SUV looks absolutely stunning on the road. The design is beautiful and eye-catching. However, we have experienced some issues with the vehicle. Unfortunately, it has been in the shop more times than we can count. We have learned to wait until a few things need fixing before taking it in. Additionally, the wind noise can be quite loud on windy days, which may not be ideal for those seeking a quieter ride. We have been disappointed as we paid a lot for this vehicle.
