The contact stated that the engine started making an abnormal knocking sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the lifters had collapsed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic, who informed the contact that the camshaft needed to be replaced. There was no further information provided. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000. The VIN was not available.

- Consequence: As a result, the vehicle may shift from Park with the ignition key removed or the ignition key in the OFF position. The vehicle may also shift out of Park without application of the brake pedal while the key is off. Either of these scenarios may cause the vehicle to roll away after the driver has exited the vehicle, resulting in a possible vehicle crash and/or injury.

I purchased this ESV for my wife and we are extremely satisfied with it. Initially, I was considering the Audi A6 with 4.2L or Q7, but when I mentioned it to her, she did not seem interested. I traded in my Porsche 911 Turbo with no regrets. The exterior styling is gorgeous, the interior is very comfy and roomy, and the ride is great. The backup camera works really well even at night, and the touch screen NAV system is very user-friendly. Additionally, it has good gas mileage for a big and heavy SUV. Overall, we believe this is the best SUV.

The Escalade ESV is a fantastic family SUV! While there aren't many interior options, it's still a great choice. One thing to keep in mind is that the seats can get dirty quite easily. On the bright side, it takes regular unleaded fuel, so you don't have to worry about the high cost of premium. Plus, it gets 12 mpg city and 17 mpg highway, making it a practical choice for any family.

I am an avid Escalade cheerleader and have owned one for seven years. Recently, I decided to buy the 2007 model. However, I was disappointed with the interior as the soft plush seats were replaced with flat and uncomfortable ones. Maneuvering it in tight parking spots can be a bit challenging. Although it comes with great features such as 22s, navigation, XM radio, and two DVDs, it's important to have a good base package. In my opinion, the 2007 Escalade is not a true Cadillac. If you're looking to buy one, I suggest saving your money and buying a 2003-2006 model of Escalade. I promise you won't be disappointed!

I have owned my 2007 ESV for almost a year now and unfortunately, I have been extremely disappointed with my purchase. Despite spending almost $70,000 on it, the vehicle is much louder than I expected. As a company that prides itself on having 'the quietest ride ever', I was surprised to find that it is actually the loudest vehicle I have ever been in. The wind noise is so bad that I am already considering trading it in. I have taken it to the dealer five times, but unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved. I would advise against purchasing this ESV until some major changes are made.

Firstly, I must say that the SUV looks absolutely stunning on the road. The design is beautiful and eye-catching. However, we have experienced some issues with the vehicle. Unfortunately, it has been in the shop more times than we can count. We have learned to wait until a few things need fixing before taking it in. Additionally, the wind noise can be quite loud on windy days, which may not be ideal for those seeking a quieter ride. We have been disappointed as we paid a lot for this vehicle.
