Bentley Continental flying spur 2007 problems
The Bentley Flying Spur, known as the Bentley Continental Flying Spur before 2013, is a full-sized luxury car produced by Bentley Motors Limited since 2005. It is the four-door saloon variant of the Bentley Continental GT two-door coupé.
The Flying Spur is assembled by hand at Bentley's factory in Crewe, England. Briefly, due to lack of capacity at the Crewe factory upon the car's introduction, 1,358 units of the first generation Flying Spur destined for markets other than the United States and United Kingdom were built at parent-company Volkswagen's Transparent Factory in Dresden, Germany. This arrangement ended in early 2007, when all assembly works reverted to Crewe.
First generation (2005–2013)
Overview
The first-generation Flying Spur was officially unveiled at the 75th Geneva Motor Show in March 2005. It had a 5,998 cc (6.0 L) twin-turbocharged W12 engine tuned to produce 560 PS (412 kW; 552 bhp) and torque of 650 N⋅m (479 lbf⋅ft) at 1,600–6,100 rpm. Torsen-based permanent all-wheel drive system was standard on the Flying Spur. It can go 0–100 km/h (0.0–62.1 mph) in 4.9 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 314 km/h (195 mph). It also has Adaptive Air Suspension and Continuous Damping Control as standard. At that time, it was the world's fastest and most powerful production saloon.
Sales of the first-generation Flying Spur began in late 2005. During the first full-year sales of the Flying Spur, the number of deliveries exceeded 4,000 units. The Speed model of the Flying Spur was introduced in 2008 as a higher performance variant with revised ceramic disc brakes and tuned to produce 602 horsepower. The acceleration of the Speed model is 0–100 km/h (0.0–62.1 mph) in 4.5 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 322 km/h (200 mph). A total of 1,155 units of the Speed model were produced in model years 2009 and 2010.

Common Bentley Continental flying spur 2007 problems
The Bentley Continental Flying Spur, a symbol of luxury and elegance, is known for its powerful performance and high-end finishes. However, it has been reported by several owners that the car experiences issues with its air suspension system.
One of the most common problems with the Bentley Continental Flying Spur's air suspension system is the failure of the air springs, which are made of flexible rubber and inflate or deflate as necessary to keep the car at the proper ride height. Over time, these air springs can wear out and fail, leading to a sagging or unbalanced car.
Another common problem with the Bentley Continental Flying Spur's air suspension system is leaks in the air lines, which carry air from the compressor to the struts. These leaks can cause the air suspension system to lose pressure, leading to a sagging or unbalanced car.
The Bentley Continental Flying Spur's air suspension system is controlled by a suspension control module, which uses information from ride height sensors to inflate or deflate the active struts as needed. If this module fails, it can cause handling problems when taking turns, and may even feel as though you can't control the car.
In addition to the air suspension system problems, the Bentley Continental Flying Spur is also known to have issues with gasket leaks in the engine, which can be an expensive fix and require significant work to replace.
To address these issues, it is important to stay ahead of them and have regular maintenance performed on the car. This includes monitoring and addressing OBD fault codes promptly, and only having maintenance completed by a certified Bentley shop.
In conclusion, while the Bentley Continental Flying Spur is a symbol of luxury and elegance, it is important to be aware of the common problems that the car may experience, particularly with its air suspension system. Regular maintenance and prompt attention to any issues can help ensure that the car remains in peak condition and provides a smooth and enjoyable ride.

Let's face it, all cars are good these days and our expectations are equally high. However, there is something special about my Bentley that fills me with pride every time I approach it. It exudes class and quality, and judging by the finger marks on the glass after parking in public, it seems that others feel the same way (or wish they did).

I'm really impressed with this car. I've driven a lot of luxury cars, but this one stands out. The Continental Flying Spur has great power, plenty of room, and stylish design. The only downside is that the bluetooth system only works with Nokia phones, and unfortunately my Razer isn't compatible.

I was searching for a luxury sedan that stood out from the crowd of Bangle-Butt BMW's and mundane Mercedes S-Class, which are quite common around Los Angeles. The Flying Spur caught my attention with its distinctive and elegant shape, outstanding build quality, sheer luxury, and twin-turbo 550 HP performance. It also offers great driving dynamics. In my opinion, the Flying Spur is the top luxury sedan in the market. It has an amazing balance of understated capability, able to comfortably accommodate five people at up to 195 MPH (although I'm not sure where you would drive that fast!), handle corners like an SL on Angeles Crest, and cruise Sunset Blvd. with the same quiet refinement of a Rolls Phantom, without the Kenworth-grill pretense. The Flying Spur is as modern as an A8 Audi (its cheaper cousin), but it needs no excuses!

I had a better experience at the Mercedes and BMW dealerships compared to the Bentley dealer. Although the car has exhilarating performance, it lacks the technology that Mercedes or BMW offer. I had to purchase a special phone to integrate with the car system and add satellite radio, which was disappointing. Bentley, it would be great if you could include these features as standard. However, if you value panache and are willing to pay $40,000 more than the other cars I mentioned, then the Bentley is a great choice.

The Bentley Continental Flying Spur is such an amazing vehicle! I absolutely love driving it. My Arnage is spending more time in the garage now that I have this beauty. I look forward to many more years of enjoyment. Thank you so much, Bentley, for creating such an incredible vehicle!

Parple Lossh seems to know what he's talking about! I completely agree with him that Bentleys can be quite uncomfortable. Personally, I would prefer a Mercedes-Benz S600. But of course, everyone has their own opinion.
Stanford Bergnaum 2024-09-21
Consider other luxury vehicles before purchasing a Bentley. While some may enjoy the brand, I found it uncomfortable and heavy. A 2007 Mercedes Benz S600 or Audi A8 W12 L may be a better fit for those seeking a luxury vehicle. It's important to remember that everyone has their own opinion.
Jalen Greenholt 2024-09-06
The car's performance is impressive, but I couldn't help but notice that the Chrysler 300 has the exact same front grille. It's a shame that the garage door opener isn't standard, but the radio and navigation are top-notch. The comfort level is also excellent. However, it's worth noting that it's a gas guzzler, unlike the 760Li which gets 22 mpg and the S65 AMG which gets 18 mpg. While I do love my Bentley and would recommend it, I would suggest considering a Mercedes-Benz S600 or S65 as well.

The Mercedes Benz S600 and BMW 760Li are both great luxury cars. We did find it surprising that the garage door opener is optional, but overall the handling is fine. If you're looking for an exotic luxury car, you might also want to consider the Audi A8 W12 L. The car is a bit heavy, which affects its performance, and the rear seats are not as comfortable as those in the BMW 760Li. While it may have some advantages over the S600 and 760Li in certain areas, overall it falls a bit short.

Hello! I recently had the chance to take the Bentley for a spin, but you might be curious about its history since it arrived at the lot in December. Well, it turns out that it had to spend some time in the shop due to a couple of engine issues and some problems with the technology. Unfortunately, it also lags a bit in acceleration. If you're in the market for a top-of-the-line luxury car, I would recommend checking out the A8 W12 L or the 760 Li. Personally, I'm excited to be getting a 760 Li soon!
