2016 Audi S5 problems
The Audi S5 is one of two high-performance variants of Audi's A5. It is also the coupé, cabriolet, and five-door fastback sedan versions of the fourth-generation (B8) Audi S4 saloon and estate models.
Like all Audi "S" cars, they are only available with Audi's quattro four-wheel drive (4WD) system, here in S5 using a Torsen-based centre diff system.
Most versions of the S5 are manufactured at Audi's plant in Ingolstadt, Germany; they are available as a coupé, cabriolet, and five-door sportback, which was previously not available in North America until the 2018 model year, which was released in the United States in mid 2017. The cabriolets are built at Audi's factory in Neckarsulm, Germany.

Living in the Carolinas means I get to enjoy this car all year round, and it's my go-to ride. I also own an Alfa Romeo Giulia, which is a fantastic car, but I find myself gravitating towards the Audi, especially on beautiful days. The Audi's sport mode is an absolute thrill, with fast acceleration and plenty of mid-range torque. It's perfect for my frequent trips to Charleston, Savannah, and the beaches in Florida. The sport seats are incredibly comfortable, and driving with the top down is an exceptional experience, especially with the standard. Even at 80 miles an hour, you can have a conversation at normal volume levels, which is impressive. Although the car is heavier than the Alfa Romeo, it still has plenty of grip with the 19-inch tires. It's a rare car to see on the road, which makes it even more special, and in my opinion, it's infinitely better looking than the hard-top convertibles out there. The only downside to the soft top is that the headliner is starting to separate from the top, probably due to my use of automatic car washes. Other than that, it's been a perfect car.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to let you know that this car is generally reliable, but there are a few minor issues like a creaky glass roof and some cabin rattles. Just wanted to give you a heads up!

Great power and comfortable driving experience. Beautiful exterior and interior. We receive compliments on it weekly at grocery stores, gas stations, etc. The car is a real head turner. Would definitely purchase again.

July 2018: Still flawless. January 2017 update: I absolutely love my car! It has been a delight to drive and has had no maintenance issues. My son loved it so much that he went out and bought an S5 coupe! The only thing I wish was different is that the S5 doesn't come with front parking assist sensors, which I find surprising. The Sepang Blue Pearl color is awesome and I constantly receive compliments on it. The paint job is flawless, just like on our Q5. July 2016 Update: Since we do most of our longer trips in my wife's 2013 Q5, my S5 Cabriolet has only 12,100 miles to date. The car has run flawlessly, looks showroom new and continues to draw admiring comments wherever I take it. I found that reducing the tire pressure to 36psi all around made the ride better without any perceptible degradation in handling. I wish Audi would come up with a better composition for their brake pads, as I had to buy a pressure washer to deal with the constant accumulation of black brake dust on my wheels. When our Q5 needed brake pad replacement, Audi would not turn the rotors, which made a simple brake pad replacement job cost over $1,300. However, I still love my S5 Cabriolet!

I own a 2012 Audi S5 with 55k miles. When I bought it, it had 13k on the dash. I have driven it across the country 4 times, from CA to VA, and have yet to experience any engine or transmission issues. It has been on a circuit track and a drag strip, and I am happy to say that it has never disappointed me in any way. In fact, I find it to be more reliable than my mother's Honda and any Toyota I have owned. It's pretty ironic since Japanese vehicles are known for their reliability, but I have yet to see that. The nav in my S5 is a bit dated, but you can get it updated through the dealership. Overall, I absolutely love my S5 and find it to be a dependable and enjoyable car to own.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with purchasing a CPO AUDI. While the car itself is great, I did run into a bit of trouble with the dealer. I was told that the car had not been in an accident and that the car-fax was clean, but when I got home, I noticed that the front end was misaligned. After running an auto check, I found out that the car had indeed been in an accident. The dealer did take the car back, but now they are reselling it as CPO and acting like it's perfect. I understand that CPO cars can be certified even if they have been in an accident, but I do believe that this information should be disclosed to the consumer. Thank you for listening to my experience!
