2011 Audi S5 problems

The Audi S5 is one of two high-performance variants of Audi's A5. It is also the coupé, cabriolet, and five-door fastback sedan versions of the fourth-generation (B8) Audi S4 saloon and estate models.
Like all Audi "S" cars, they are only available with Audi's quattro four-wheel drive (4WD) system, here in S5 using a Torsen-based centre diff system.
Most versions of the S5 are manufactured at Audi's plant in Ingolstadt, Germany; they are available as a coupé, cabriolet, and five-door sportback, which was previously not available in North America until the 2018 model year, which was released in the United States in mid 2017. The cabriolets are built at Audi's factory in Neckarsulm, Germany.

I have owned this car since new, 10 years in Feb/2021. I ordered the coupe from the factory with Lava Grey exterior (custom - saw it on an R8 on the sales floor and my 15 year old son convinced me to pay the premium) and Magma red interior with the manual gearbox.

If you're looking for a car that will make you stand out, the Audi S5 Coupe is definitely the one for you. I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase this car with cash in March 2010, after inheriting some money in January of the same year. I had my eye on a Luxury/Sport Coupe and narrowed it down to the Audi S5 Coupe and the Infiniti G37. What sold me on the Audi was the way it felt while driving. The sensory charged design and gadget options make this car a real head-turner. Although I love the rims that came with the car, I have unfortunately scraped them on two curbs. I did notice that my auto insurance premium increased from $145.00 to $414.00 per month, but I still believe it's worth it! The only thing I wish is that the convertible version was AWD.

I've owned my S5 since November 2009 and have driven it for over a hundred and twenty thousand miles, both on the highway and in the city. The car looks just as good today as it did when I first got it, but more importantly, it drives just as well too. The acceleration and high-speed drivability are great. I plan on holding onto it until the new 2018 model comes out. I highly recommend it!

Hi there! I noticed that you're interested in the 993/996/997, but you also need a back seat that can accommodate a baby seat. Have you considered the S5? It has plenty of room for 3 adults and a large baby seat, making it a very comfortable option. Plus, it has all wheel drive which is perfect for driving in different conditions. If you're interested, you can check out a video on YouTube of the S5 racing a downhill skier - it's pretty impressive! While the 6 speed gear box may not be quite as nice as the 997, it's still easy to shift. Overall, the S5 is a great sport GT/luxury sports car that sticks to the pavement and drives great in the rain. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

I have owned a BMW, Acura, Infinity and Land Rover, but I must say that this Audi S5 is the best car I have ever owned! The engineering, performance, and technology are all superior. Plus, it's an absolute blast to drive!

I bought my new S5 Quatro Coupe about a month ago after test driving the BMW5 and Mercedes E class. As soon as I left the dealership, I knew this was the car for me. It's hard to put into words just how much I enjoy driving and looking at this car. The handling is tight and responsive, especially in the corners. When I switch to sport mode, the acceleration is so powerful that it throws me back in my seat. The exterior has an aggressive look that makes it seem like it's always in motion, even when it's standing still. The interior is a beautiful combination of colors and textures that make me never want to leave. I'm always smiling when I'm behind the wheel, and my wife jokes that I'm having an affair - but at least it's with a car!

I really wanted to love this car. It's absolutely beautiful both inside and out, and it's such a great ride. However, I have to admit that it's been a bit frustratingly unreliable. It seems like every time I get it repaired, another issue pops up way too soon after. Plus, the repairs can be quite expensive.
