2011 Audi S5 problems

The Audi S5 is one of two high-performance variants of Audi's A5. It is also the coupé, cabriolet, and five-door fastback sedan versions of the fourth-generation (B8) Audi S4 saloon and estate models.
Like all Audi "S" cars, they are only available with Audi's quattro four-wheel drive (4WD) system, here in S5 using a Torsen-based centre diff system.
Most versions of the S5 are manufactured at Audi's plant in Ingolstadt, Germany; they are available as a coupé, cabriolet, and five-door sportback, which was previously not available in North America until the 2018 model year, which was released in the United States in mid 2017. The cabriolets are built at Audi's factory in Neckarsulm, Germany.

I have owned this car since new, 10 years in Feb/2021. I ordered the coupe from the factory with Lava Grey exterior (custom - saw it on an R8 on the sales floor and my 15 year old son convinced me to pay the premium) and Magma red interior with the manual gearbox.

I've driven an A4 and a BMW 3 series before, but the new S4 is only marginally faster on the track. However, the S5 is the perfect coupe for affluent consumers who desire a flashy daily driver. It boasts elegance, beauty, performance, solid build quality, and a refined, ergonomic interior that matches or even exceeds its competitors. In fact, short of the R8, this is the best overall handling production Audi. The 0-60 times are as follows: 4.9 seconds from standstill, 4.7 seconds with S-mode, and 4.5 seconds with a 1-foot roll out in S-mode. Additionally, it gets an impressive 24-26 mpg on the highway.

After leaving Audi in 2001 due to poor dealership and service in my old hometown, I switched to BMW. However, after owning 5 BMWs, with the last being a 335 cab with what I would say were the worst tires in the world (Run Flats), I decided to go back to Audi. I must say, the S5 Cab is worlds ahead of BMW in REAL world driving. The fit and finish are flawless, and the MMI system and Navigation are far superior to BMW's I drive and very easy to use. Having owned dozens of high-end cars, this one gets more attention than anything I have had. It is super quiet, has plenty of power, and the best seats I have ever sat in. The only problem I have with the car is that I just want to wax it and look at it, it's that nice.

I just got this car a few weeks ago and I am absolutely in love with it! I decided to trade in my Nissan GTR because the ride was quite rough. I was looking for something that was a bit more refined and comfortable, while still maintaining some of the performance. I must say, I am really enjoying this car!

As a long-time vette owner, I was initially hesitant to explore other options due to the high price of new models and the introduction of new technology by other automakers. However, after test driving various models including new Corvettes, MB, Infiniti, and Lexus, I finally got behind the wheel of the Audi S5 Cabriolet and knew it was time for a change. The S5 Cab's style, supercharged engine, interior design, and advanced technology were all major selling points for me. Additionally, the limited availability of the S5 Cab made it even more desirable. It offers ample room, enough power for a fun and comfortable ride, and incredible tech gadgets that truly enhance the driving experience.

I really wanted to love this car. It's absolutely beautiful both inside and out, and it's such a great ride. However, I have to admit that it's been a bit frustratingly unreliable. It seems like every time I get it repaired, another issue pops up way too soon after. Plus, the repairs can be quite expensive.
