- Summary: Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2022-2024 RS e-tron GT, e-tron GT, Q4 e-tron Sportback, Q4 e-tron, 2020-2021 Audi A8, 2019-2024 e-tron Quattro, 2020-2024 e-tron Sportback Quattro, Q5, and 2021-2022 A7 vehicles. When using the industrial 220V/240V plug at the 100% charge setting, some home power outlets may be incapable of handling the electrical current required to utilize the compact charging system, causing the outlet or charging cable to overheat.
- Consequence: An overheated outlet or charging cable can increase the risk of a fire.
- Remedy: Owners are advised not to use the 220V/240V compact/portable charging cable and only use the 110V home charging cable or public charging stations. Dealers will supply a new 220V/240V compact/portable charging cable with an incorporated temperature sensor, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 28, 2024. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's numbers for this recall are 93U6 and 93U8.

I have to say, the comfort scale is a solid 10! Although the range could be longer, I want to point out that regenerative braking is actually available, despite what some so-called 'experts' might say. Personally, I find regenerative braking to be a key feature that sets this car apart. Additionally, the suspension is truly superior to anything Tesla will produce in the next 10 years, and it will out-corner all Teslas for a while. I know there's a lot of marketing buzz out there, but I encourage you to test drive both a Tesla and an Etron while the experience is fresh in your mind. With its superior comfort and suspension, and virtually no marketing hype, the Etron might just win you over. But if you still prefer Tesla, good luck sitting in that 350 miles... yak!

The e-tron offers a quiet cabin and a good ride quality. The materials inside are really nice, as expected of Audi. However, the storage in the cabin isn't as much as one would expect from a dedicated EV. The stated range isn't great for driving at high speeds, but it gets the job done for the daily commute. It's important to keep in mind that zero means zero when it comes to range, as there isn't any reserve. Hopefully, with a software update, we can get better battery performance and longer range in the future. That being said, I chose the e-tron over a Tesla Model Y due to its much better build quality and less range. I was able to get a good deal with the info provided on Edmunds, which made this an even better proposition to get into. The sound system is great, and I love the touch displays and digital cockpit. The shifter could have been smaller to allow for more space in the center console, and the cup holders are deep in the dash and small. EVs on a dedicated platform are making efficient use of interior space, and this could benefit from that as well. So far, my experience with this vehicle has been good, and it would be nice to go 500 miles on a single charge one day. For now, we are doing okay with having a second vehicle that is a hybrid and can get beyond 500 miles on a single fill-up. Overall, the e-tron is not only a great-looking vehicle, but it also drives well and does everything else superbly. With additional charging stations coming online, doing long trips in it will offer less stress of range anxiety. This one is definitely worth buying.

The ride and handling are exceptional, receiving a 10/10 rating. The interior is impressively quiet, making for a peaceful driving experience. The range is perfectly suited for most uses, and charging stations are conveniently located everywhere. Why carry extra battery weight when it's not necessary? In terms of aesthetics, it's the best-looking all-electric SUV on the market. It also provides ample space for a family of four and a furry friend, making it just the right size. It's easy to park and manoeuvre, and the powertrain is both powerful and nimble. Overall, it's a very calming drive. My wife absolutely loves it!

I recently purchased a PreOwned vehicle from Mercedes Benz Clearwater FL and I must say, they did a great job posting and selling it at a fair price. My brother, who is an avid researcher, purchased his 2019 eTron from Audi Omaha. As first-time owners of a PreOwned EV, my wife and I were looking for a mid-sized SUV with the best safety features. We test drove a PreOwned Kia EV 9 and were impressed with its dash layout, trim, and price. We also waited for the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 to arrive at our local dealership, but it didn't arrive before we test drove 2 eTrons. We were blown away by the Audi eTron and the technical expertise provided by Emily, one of the sales team members at Audi Omaha. We were confident in our decision to purchase the eTron due to its quality of design, safety technology, and workmanship, as well as the support provided by Audi Omaha. Although there is a learning curve to owning an eTron, the Audi App, including the owner's manual and video tutorials, has been a great help. We find that the eTron fits us very well and we continue to be impressed by its quality of design and safety features. Overall, we are very satisfied and pleased with our eTron purchase.We should learn more about regenerative deceleration/braking to help recharge and extend battery capacity between charges. When we look for a new EV, we will again consider the latest and greatest, and the eTron will be high on our list.

I really enjoyed my Etron! It was mostly everything I expected from an EV, with a few exceptions. The ride was incredibly smooth and comfortable. However, I do have to be honest about my experience. The range was significantly impacted by heating and cooling. For the first 8 months, I had no issues driving it. But then, out of nowhere, I got the dreaded electronic malfunction warning light on my dash and the car died. Unfortunately, Audi was so backed up on services that they couldn't even look at it for a week when I had it towed there. At that time, there were no loaners available, so I had to rent one and pay for it myself with no reimbursement. Eventually, they reached out and informed me that the rear motor had gone out due to coolant leaking from a faulty valve. Apparently, this is a known issue with Etrons, and there's even a whole platform where customers have shared their stories. However, I believe that Audi is just experiencing the typical kinks that come with their first EV. With more experience over the next few years, they will be able to build their electrical systems even better.

We recently took delivery of our first EV, the Audi e-Tron 2021, on May 26th. After considering EVs from Tesla and Ford Mustang, we decided that the Audi e-Tron was the best fit for us, so we returned our Porsche Macan S and happily took delivery of the Audi. Unfortunately, within 24 hours of taking delivery, we experienced an issue with the car's Climate Control and had to take it back to the shop on May 27th. We received a message from Audi Palo Alto on June 3rd that our car won't be ready until June 7th at the earliest. While it's been frustrating to wait, we appreciate that the Audi Palo Alto team has been working hard to diagnose and fix the issue, and we're looking forward to getting back on the road soon. We understand that issues can arise with any new car, and we're confident that Audi will continue to work on improving the quality of their EVs. We encourage anyone considering an EV to do their research and make the best decision for their needs. We're grateful for the opportunity to lease the Audi e-Tron and look forward to enjoying it once it's back in our hands.

I've owned two Tesla S cars before this one, and while it drives like a heavier car, it sits on the road and rides smoothly. However, the car looks and feels like it was pieced together from different models rather than being a new build. It almost feels like you're getting a used car. I got this car in the middle of the pandemic because there were no other electric cars available right away, and my lease had run out. Although customer service was not great, I was able to resolve my issue after being on the phone for almost two hours. The reason for my call was that the navigation with live traffic went away after 6 months, and I just learned that they now charge for it. It's around $40 a month, and if you want their 5G, it's around $50+ a month. The one that came complimentary for the first 6 months was not very good. I was surprised that to have a useful navigation system, it would cost an additional $400-500 a year. In comparison, my BMW 5 series does not charge for the navigation system. Although the Tesla Model I have is around $75-80k and drives okay, I would not purchase this car again. However, I would recommend it to someone who is looking for an electric car and is willing to pay for the additional features.

I loved my 2021 Audi etron sportback like no other car I had ever owned or driven. However, one day out of nowhere, the electronic systems malfunction hit my etron and it has been at the Audi dealership ever since. If you are considering the etron, please research the electronic systems malfunction. It is important to note that Audi may have difficulty diagnosing and servicing this issue.

The car itself would be nice... if it did what it was advertised to do. However, I have experienced some issues with the range being much shorter than advertised, the battery not charging properly and a current recall relating to fire issues. Unfortunately, Audi has not been very helpful in remedying the situation and seems to be taking a hands-off approach. It's disappointing to feel like they don't care about their customers. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future. As for me, I have decided not to buy another Audi.
