2010 Audi A5 problems
The Audi A5 is a series of compact executive coupé cars produced by the German automobile manufacturer Audi since June 2007. The A5 range additionally comprises the coupe, cabriolet, and "Sportback" (a five-door liftback with a fastback roofline) version of the Audi A4 saloon and estate models.
Under Audi's internal platform numbering convention, the A5 is a member of the B-platform series of vehicles, sharing its platform designation with the A4 saloon and Avant. The first generation A5 (Type 8T) is therefore a member of the B8 family, whilst the second generation model (Type 8W6) is based on the B9. Both are derived from the Volkswagen MLB (Modular Longitudinal Matrix) architecture.

When presented at the March 2007 Geneva Motor Show, the A5 marked Audi's return to the compact executive coupé market since the (B3/B4) Audi 80 based coupé model ended production in 1996. On May 10, 2006, Audi confirmed that the A5 would go into production. The B6/B7 A4 spawned a convertible variant but not a coupé. For the fourth-generation A4 (B8), Audi decided to spin off the cabriolet, along with a new coupé and 4-door fastback sedan, into a nameplate of its own as the A5.
The A5 was the first of the B8 family of vehicles to be released (the others being the A4 and the Q5 crossover SUV), all based on the Audi MLP platform (Modular Longitudinal Platform) which underpin the next generation A6 and A8.
The A5 is the third coupé in Audi's line up, following the second generation TT and the R8. The A5 adopted design elements of the Nuvolari quattro concept car. The A5 debuted with the 3.2 litre FSI V6 engine delivering 195 kW (265 PS; 261 hp).

AS THERE IS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY UNDER AUDI FOR FAULTY FUEL INJECTORS, I TOOK THE CAR TO AUDI TO HAVE THE MANUFACTURER DEFECTED FUEL INJECTOR REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, THE ORIGINAL MECHANIC CLEARED THE CODE FROM MY CAR'S SYSTEM WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE LIGHT TO TURN OFF. BECAUSE THE FAULT CODE WAS CLEARED BY THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, AUDI IS REFUSING TO FIX THE FAULTY FUEL INJECTOR UNDER WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH I HAVE DOCUMENTATION WITH THE FAULT CODES THAT SHOWS THE FUEL INJECTOR WAS LEAKING AND THE REASON MY CAR STALLED. THE AUDI SERVICE SPECIALIST TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO KEEP DRIVING MY CAR UNTIL THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. I KNOW THAT AUDI CURRENTLY HAS A RECALL ON SOME AUDI MODELS DUE TO A FAULTY FUEL INJECTOR CAUSING FIRE RISKS, AND I KNOW THAT DRIVING WITH A FAULTY FUEL INJECTOR WILL LEAD TO MAJOR ISSUES. MY CAR HAD JUST TURNED OVER 80K. I ALSO LEARNED THAT HAD I CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE CAR I COULD HAVE POSSIBLY DAMAGED THE PISTONS, CAUSING THE CAR TO POSSIBLY NEED A NEW ENGINE. POST CLEAR INFORMATION ABOUT SCHEDULES FOR EACH ZONES AND WHICH MANUFACTURERS WILL BE GETTING PARTS SO THAT WE CAN BETTER UNDERSTAND WHEN OUR DANGEROUS LIFE THREATENING RECALL WILL BE REPAIRED. IF AUDI IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALLOCATING PARTS TELL THEM TO STOP TELLING US THAT THEY HAVE NO IDEA AND AREN'T RESPONSIBLE FOR PARTS AVAILABILITY. MAKE THEM USE THE NEW PARTS TO FIX OUR CARS NOT MANUFACTURE NEW ONES AND SELL IT TO US AS A SCARE TACTIC!

I HAVE CALLED NUMEROUS AUDI DEALERS AS WELL AS THE AUDI WORLDWIDE NUMBER WHO TOLD ME THEY DO NOT HAVE PARTS AND ARE WAITING. I ASKED WHEN THEY EXPECT TO GET PARTS AND THEY DID NOT KNOW AT ALL. I CONTACTED NHTSA AND I WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT KNOW WHEN PARTS WOULD BE RECEIVED BY AUDI NEITHER. ALL THEY COULD TELL ME WAS LIVING IN CA I WAS IN ZONE B AND THE NEXT ON THIS LIST AFTER THE HIGHER PRIORITY HIGH HUMIDITY AREAS. DUE TO THE SHEER NUMBER OF RECALLS THIS COULD MEAN WE MAY NOT GET PARTS FOR YEARS IF SOMETHING ISN'T DONE TO IMPROVE PRODUCTION FREQUENCY, PRODUCE HIGH QUALITY AIRBAGS AND MAKE IT AVAILABLE TO THE CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE A RECALL NOTICE. I AM CONCERNED DRIVING THE CAR WITH THE RECALL NOTICE AS WELL AS THE DEATHS AND ISSUES REGARDING THE AIRBAG. WE NEED QUALITY PARTS TO BE ALLOCATED TO AUDI IN CA AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,336.

I wasn't expecting much from a 4-cylinder engine, but this car actually puts out more torque (258 ft-lb) than most 6-cylinder engines in its class. It feels faster than my old V6, and the 0-60 numbers prove it. If you have any doubts, I highly recommend test driving the car yourself. You won't be disappointed, unless you're used to driving a V8 or something.

Your car is amazing! I love how the 2.0 L engine still has plenty of power thanks to the turbo, without using up too much premium gas. The cockpit is also really well designed, with the dashboard thoughtfully created for both the driver and passenger. It's great to hear that your new vehicle has been treating you well so far, and I hope it continues to do so. By the way, I noticed that you purchased the 'Prestige' and 'S-Line' packages for your A5 - excellent choice!
