- Consequence: A screw inside the gearbox housing can cause the steering wheel to lock up and increase the risk of a crash.

The seat belt automatic locking retractors may deactivate early, which can prevent the child restraint system from securing properly. - Consequence: An unsecured child restraint system can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

- Consequence: A detached SRS control unit can decrease the performance of occupant protection systems such as air bags, seat belts, and high voltage battery disconnect, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
- Remedy: Volvo Car will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, as necessary, tighten the SRS control unit mounting screws, free of charge. The recall began February 12, 2021. Owners may contact Volvo Car customer service at 1-888-458-1552. Volvo Car's number for this recall is R10068.

I had a 2018 car that I really enjoyed driving. After 3 years and 35K miles, I decided to upgrade to a 2021 model with similar features such as navigation and a heated steering wheel. I must say, the 2021 car is much nicer than the 2018 one. It gives me over 28 mpg combined (rural/highway) and over 30 mpg on the highway with an average speed of 70-80. In contrast, I never saw more than 28 mpg in the 2018 car. I think the transmission is always in the right gear, which makes a big difference. My wife didn't like the 2018 car, but she loves the '21 model. It's very comfortable and has plenty of pep. I did experience some brake vibration when going downhill over 40 mph, but the dealer replaced the front rotors free of charge when I reported it at 16K miles. I really enjoy streaming via Car Play, and I prefer its navigation guidance over the Sensus system, which is fine but annoying to program new destinations. I'm hoping that this will be my last ICE vehicle and that Volvo's transition to EVs will be a smooth one.

I came across a review that claimed this vehicle was boring to drive, which made me hesitant to give it a try. However, after testing it out during our search for a small luxury SUV, we were pleasantly surprised with its performance. In fact, it's the complete opposite of boring - it's an incredibly fun car to drive! Additionally, the car boasts numerous safety features which gave us peace of mind. We ultimately decided to purchase the 2021 XC60 T5 R-Design as a certified preowned vehicle and are excited to enjoy it for the next 10 years.

This luxury vehicle has been designed without considering our customers. Unfortunately, Volvo has eliminated the front seat easy enter and exit, making it painful, difficult, and often impossible to enter or exit the driver's position, especially for those who are slightly disabled. If you are disabled, you may need to pay a premium to comfortably access and exit the driver's position. Additionally, the wireless charging mode does not work for all phones, and Volvo has not updated this feature despite the 'luxury' tag. Overall, it is a good vehicle, but there are several features that do not work. One problem for me is the very short EV range!!

After test driving the plug-in hybrid XC60, I was impressed with its performance. However, I was disappointed to learn that the hybrid model does not come with a spare tire due to space constraints. As someone who values safety, this is a deal breaker for me. It is concerning that a vehicle with a $60k price tag would not prioritize the safety of its drivers by providing a spare tire. I will continue my search for a vehicle that prioritizes safety and meets my needs.

I recently traded my 2008 GMC Envoy Denali for a 2021 Volvo XC60. The Volvo has many great features that I enjoy, such as air-conditioned seats, front seat extensions, folding side mirrors, and a kick-open rear gate. However, there are also some things that my 15-year-old Denali had that surprisingly are not on the new Volvo. The most important of these are informative tire pressure sensors. While the Volvo does have these sensors, it does not provide the same level of detail as the Denali. When the low air message appeared on the Denali's dashboard, it told me exactly which tire was low and the exact amount of air remaining in that tire and each of the other three tires. Unfortunately, the low air message on my Volvo provided no additional information to help me make decisions. I didn't know which tire(s) was low, and I didn't know if it was just a pound or two low, or if it was dangerously low. This is important information, especially when driving through remote areas of the Smoky Mountains with no town or air pump anywhere for miles. I was surprised that a brand known for its safety features would be so lacking in this area. The Denali also had an onboard compressor that could have saved me in this situation, but the Volvo does not. I should also mention that the Denali automatically reset when the air was refilled in the tire, while the Volvo requires manual resetting. There are also a few other minor annoyances on the Volvo, such as the Eco driving mode, which I like, but I am unable to make it my default option. I have to reset it each time I start the car, which can be aggravating. The crash avoidance feature is a bit wonky and often activates when I'm already stopped several feet behind a dark-colored vehicle. Apparently, it gets confused by the color. The rear gate kick feature is also finicky, sometimes working and sometimes not.The opening to add fluid to the windshield washer reservoir is a bit slow, so it's best to take your time to avoid any back-flow. When closing the hood, it can be a bit tricky to reach the pull loop at the center, but using a cane with a hook on the end can make it easier. It's important for car manufacturers to test the usability of their features to ensure they are user-friendly. While the interactive voice system can be a bit frustrating at times, it's helpful to have a hands-free option for making calls while driving. It's understandable to be disappointed that earlier model years of the XC60 had massage seats, but it's important to remember that technology is always evolving and changing. While the Envoy Denali was a great vehicle, it's important to explore new options and find one that fits your current needs. I bought this car new almost 2 years ago, but unfortunately it has not lived up to my expectations. The drive is not as smooth as my previous Ford SUV, which I believe is due to a combination of seat and tire issues, and possibly suspension. While I do appreciate the large screen, the infotainment system can be a bit tricky to work with when using android auto. Additionally, there is a 'turtle' feature that puts the car in limp mode when there is an issue with the engine, causing it to slow down to a few miles per hour. This has happened to me twice now and I worry that it could cause a major accident on the road. Overall, I am quite disappointed with this car, especially considering its price and the reputation of Volvo. I am hoping to break even on the valuation soon so that I can move on from this experience.

Hi there! As someone who currently owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue, I was hoping to find some new features and capabilities that my Rogue might be missing. Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed with the navigation (which isn't available on the T5 model), rear camera, road noise, driver and passenger space, or gas mileage. However, I recently discovered that the 2012 Nissan Rogue has been re-engineered this year, so I'm excited to take a closer look at these features on the Rogue!
