He says that it’s not even safe for me to drive the vehicle at this time and at this time, I’m trying to buy another car because I have to keep the windows down, so I don’t pass out from the smell of gas … I called Appleton Volkswagen of Sanford as they switched out the whole fuel tank at 80,000. The vehicle has about 190,000 now … there was just a recall put out for the fuel pump for certain Volkswagen year 2015 and above, but the CC is not on this.? I I feel like it should be in the recall because my car is very unsafe to drive and I’m scared that I’m gonna blow up a fire of flames right now just driving it to the repair they’re not because this is very unsafe ……

- Summary: Hi, I’ve had my turbocharge replaced in October of 2020 at the Volkswagen dealership in Wichita, KS. Just recently my car started driving funny again such as not accelerating like it should with a slight whining noise. With these lamps showing on the info system screen, the cruise control Will not engage! I asked the dealership about it. And was told that the wheel bearing unit has moved away from where it is bolted on. And now it is touching the Air Bag control module. That's why I've got six lamps showing up on the center info screen, every time I operate the car. And on another incident. I was traveling on the interstate and their was some water that had collected in a dip between hills. And when I traveled through it, the force of the water flowing into the engine department, knocked the cruise control OFF. Disengaged it. I'm am available for inspection of said vehicle. Oh yes, this happened once before, but all of a sudden all the warnings lamps turned off. But I'm not so lucky now. It doesn't seem to affect the Air Bags any, But I could be Wrong! The dealer explained what has happened within the components of my problem. But, since I wasn't forth coming to pay them to check or repair it, nothing got done. And it has been going on for about 6 - 8 months.

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share my experience with my Volkswagen CC. I purchased it from an auction with 115k miles, and it had a bad engine and clutch. Luckily, I'm a mechanic, so I was able to save on labor costs and put in a 2017 engine with only 1k miles on it and a new clutch for a total of $3000 in parts. After driving it for a year and putting 30k miles on it, I only had to replace one coil for $20 (part price from dealership). Other than that, I've only needed to do regular tire rotations and oil changes, which cost me $70 each time. If you're considering this car as your first vehicle, just make sure the mileage isn't too high. This car originally died at 115k miles, and repairs can be quite expensive if you have to take it to a shop. Overall, I've had a great experience with my CC so far. It's a beautiful car that has gotten me many compliments and looks. Thank you for considering my experience!

The CC is an excellent blend of performance, style, and value. The 2.0 turbo engine is very peppy and responsive. I was surprised to learn that my friend, who recently drove my relatively new CC Sport, thought it was a 6 cylinder from its pick up. I have gotten up to 34.5 mpg on a combined road and street drive, even with the required premium gas. Generally, in town mileage has been about 26 mpg. The interior is very elegant and at a price that is much more reasonable than the VW's German counterparts. I recently traded in my 7-year-old Passat (the best car I have ever owned) to get this snazzy sedan, and I am thrilled each time I get into the CC.

Update: The airbag issue has been fixed. However, there is now a fuel pump recall and no fix has been issued yet. I had to replace all four tires for $1,028 because two rear tires showed steel threads. I will rotate them every 3,000-5,000 miles. Unfortunately, there is still no fix for the suspension, even with lawsuits pending. The rear tires have inside cupping after approximately 15,000 miles and there is road noise from the rear seat area that passengers have noticed. During my first scheduled service and tire rotation upon owning the car, the dealership switched the tires from rear to front, which caused serious road noise and vibration upon stopping. They then switched them back and now they are telling me to replace the tires and get a 4-wheel alignment. This is very costly to the consumer, with the cost to replace tires being approximately $200-$300 a piece, plus $100+ to align. Volkswagen has known about this bad design since 2009 and they continue to use the same setup at least through 2016's models. Additionally, I am concerned about why VW would lower the quality by installing Japanese airbags, which have had two recalls that caused deaths. It's a German car built in Germany, so why install cheap Japanese parts? I do love the VW cc and always believed in German engineering quality, but apparently young guns have started to make major decisions, even to a point of deceiving the consumers, such as with the TDI versions, tire cupping, and suspension issues. Volkswagen needs to stop this practice and lying. They should give loyal customers a well-built car that we pay for and fix the issues instead of covering them up or paying us off with unfair deals, such as offering only one set of new tires or $2,000 to shut us up. As of 5/10/2017, there is still no fix or update on Takata airbag replacement/repair. Despite these issues, I still love the car ♡

While I appreciated the reliability of my Honda, it just couldn't compare to the driving experience of this vehicle. I see that you have owned a 2009 Jetta and a 2000 Passat. It's great to hear that you loved the Passat and liked the Jetta. I must say, the 2012 CC is in a league of its own. The special lease program with the sign & drive $0 across the board really caught my attention. And then there were additional incentives! When I took it home for a test drive, I was impressed with the turbo 4 banger. It was so smooth, responsive, and quiet. The interior is real sweet, with two-tone bucket seats, an analog clock, heated seats, a 6 CD changer, and more. It's elegant and impressive, and this is just the entry model! I think VW has a hit on their hands. I wonder why there's no visual advertising? It's certainly a lot of car for the money and not just a niche car.

The car drives really well with its responsive 2.0L turbo, great steering, slick DSG gearbox, and is an all-around fun to drive sporty sedan. Despite the low roofline, it's plenty roomy and has ample trunk space. Although I love the way my car looks, I am disappointed with its quality and performance. The tail lights have been a recurring issue, with three bulbs needing replacement in just six months and 6000 miles. It is frustrating to have to visit the dealership frequently for such a simple issue. Additionally, the road noise, wind noise, and bumpy ride on potholes are all too annoying. However, I am confident that these issues can be resolved and I look forward to enjoying a smoother driving experience in the future.

The car offers great value, but the transmission could use some improvement. The shift points in drive mode and sport mode are quite extreme, with drive mode shifting at a very low RPM (~2200) and sport mode shifting at a high RPM (~4500). Additionally, there is a noticeable lag when the transmission disengages at a complete stop and re-engages. When starting from a complete stop with the steering wheel turned, the car can feel a bit jerky, almost as if it's in sport mode.
