He says that it’s not even safe for me to drive the vehicle at this time and at this time, I’m trying to buy another car because I have to keep the windows down, so I don’t pass out from the smell of gas … I called Appleton Volkswagen of Sanford as they switched out the whole fuel tank at 80,000. The vehicle has about 190,000 now … there was just a recall put out for the fuel pump for certain Volkswagen year 2015 and above, but the CC is not on this.? I I feel like it should be in the recall because my car is very unsafe to drive and I’m scared that I’m gonna blow up a fire of flames right now just driving it to the repair they’re not because this is very unsafe ……

And was told that the wheel bearing unit has moved away from where it is bolted on. And now it is touching the Air Bag control module. That's why I've got six lamps showing up on the center info screen, every time I operate the car. And on another incident. I was traveling on the interstate and their was some water that had collected in a dip between hills. And when I traveled through it, the force of the water flowing into the engine department, knocked the cruise control OFF. Disengaged it. I'm am available for inspection of said vehicle. Oh yes, this happened once before, but all of a sudden all the warnings lamps turned off. But I'm not so lucky now. It doesn't seem to affect the Air Bags any, But I could be Wrong! The dealer explained what has happened within the components of my problem. But, since I wasn't forth coming to pay them to check or repair it, nothing got done. And it has been going on for about 6 - 8 months.

I completely understand your love for this car! It's such a joy to look at, sit in, and drive. Volkswagen really hit the nail on the head with this one. I noticed that you were considering other cars like the Sonata, Lexus IS250, Infinity G35, and Buick Regal, but I have to say that the CC offers the best value for your money. In my opinion, there's no better car in the low 30K range.

This is probably the best used car you can find on the market if you believe that driving is more than just going from point A to point B. If not, then a Camry might be a better fit for you. The car has a 2.0T 200hp four-cylinder engine with 207lb/ft torque. However, the HUGE difference is the DSG (Dual-Clutch Sequential Gearbox) with 6 gears. When shifting up, it changes gears in just 0.065 seconds. Now, manual might be a little bit more fun to drive, but it just cannot keep up with my CC. Also, if you want to use the car's full potential, make sure to get performance tires! If you are a DIY guy/girl, this is the perfect car for you. It is probably the most friendly car for people who like to change their own oil. However, make sure to use full synthetic oils like Castrol 0W30 (GC).

I bought my CC Sport with a manual transmission 36 months ago when it had 30K miles. I am still very pleased with it even now that it has 58K miles. I was looking for something fun and distinctive to replace my 10-year-old Maxima and wanted to keep a manual transmission. I was initially concerned about VW's reputation for problems, but so far, it has been okay. I had to replace the water pump last year for $900, and there were two other minor issues (under $250 to fix), but I am keeping my fingers crossed. The transmission and engine are terrific and seem bulletproof. There is plenty of power, and I love the turbo. Although there is a little lag, it makes it more fun when it spools up. The manual transmission is wonderful, with smooth shifting and excellent ratios. I am even teaching my wife to drive stick, and she likes it. I encourage everyone out there to seek out manual transmissions. They are disappearing, and they shouldn't. It makes driving more fun, and your maintenance costs will be lower. There is a lot less to go wrong with a manual. Any complaints you hear about auto transmissions -- taking too long, software must need an upgrade, blah, blah, blah -- disappear with the manual. You decide when to shift, not the car, problems all solved. Moving on, I am very pleased with this car. It looks great, with nice lines, and the best view is from the side. I have the silver one, and when it's clean, it kind of looks like a spaceship. It's tough to get out of, but that is the trade-off. Once you are inside, it is very comfortable, with cool red lights at night. All electronics still work, and the Bluetooth is good. My only complaints are that you can't get a sunroof with the manual, and I really, really miss that. Also, I would really like a backup camera because the sightlines on this very sleek car are really bad. For those reasons, and as I approach 60K miles, I started looking for a replacement. However, after testing the '13 G37, '15 Mazda 6, and '12 A4, I am actually more satisfied than ever with my CC. I think I will keep it longer and see what happens.

I recently traded in my 2013 CC after 4 years and 67K miles. There are many things to love about these cars, such as the clean coupe-like styling, great seats, above-average steering and handling, and the 2.0T engine that pulls strong. The DSG transmission is slick shifting and the ergonomics are terrific. Additionally, the car has decent fuel economy, averaging 25.5 mpg. However, it's important to note that when these cars have problems, it can be costly. For example, the xenon headlamps are great, but each bulb/transformer can set you back $300. I had to replace the water pump at about 35K miles, and I also experienced 2 oil leaks. Therefore, it's highly recommended to have a warranty on this car, and even with that, the maintenance can feel more like an Audi or Porsche than a VW.

Here is my honest assessment: The car looks great both inside and outside, and the engine power is more than enough for a casual driver. The acceleration is great, even for a 4-cylinder engine. However, I have noticed that the gas mileage is not as good as I expected, averaging around 22 MPG combined city/highway driving. The only time I can get around 25 MPG is when I drive long distance on the freeway. In terms of reliability, I did experience some issues with my transmission needing a major repair at around 36,000 miles, but luckily it was still under warranty. Carbon build-up is also a concern, but after doing some research, I found out that it is an issue with all direct injection engines. Talking to a couple of technicians at the dealer confirmed that carbon build-up is an issue, and the only way to completely get rid of it is to have it mechanically cleaned approximately every 60,000 miles. Overall, I have had a good experience with my Volkswagen, but I will definitely keep these issues in mind when considering my next car purchase.

I've been the proud owner of my 2013 Volkswagen CC for 17 months now, having purchased it from a private owner in Florida. I absolutely adore the car's stunning appearance, which never fails to turn heads. However, I've had to replace the lower control arms just one month after buying it, as well as the battery and PCV valve. Unfortunately, I've been experiencing some issues with the heating system, but I was able to have the heater core flushed instead of replaced, which saved me a lot of money. I've also had to replace the water pump three times in the past 17 months, which has been a bit of a headache. The first time cost me $1,517, but thankfully the next two times were covered under warranty. I was informed that the cam actuator magnet is causing the oil leak, which is a bit of a nuisance. It seems that there may be a recurring issue with the water pumps, as the dealer informed me that this is a common problem. Perhaps there should be a recall, especially given the plastic parts in the pump. All in all, I've spent over $4,000 on repairs since purchasing the car, which has been a bit of a challenge. Despite this, I still love my car and am determined to keep it running smoothly.

As a seasoned VW lessee, I opted for the 2.0turbo and DSG transmission in my 1st CC. The car's styling is a standout feature, with its progressive, swept-back design that looks great both inside and out. The CC also delivers a precise steering and a responsive turbo 4 and gearing, making it a joy to drive. It's a comfortable, easy-to-drive car that's perfect for both highway cruising and commuting. While the transmission may take some getting used to, occasional slow shifts in traffic can be dangerous. Unfortunately, after 3 years, I became dissatisfied with the car and the VW brand. The dealer refused to address the rattles, and the tires wore out prematurely due to factory alignment issues. Additionally, the gas door would freeze shut in cold weather, and the infotainment system was outdated. I ultimately turned it in early and switched to a domestic brand, which I am very happy with.

I've had my CC for 4.5 months and unfortunately, it has been in the shop for a month. During this time, I've experienced some difficulty with the transmission being grabby, lurching, and inconsistent. Additionally, throttle activity has been unpredictable, making it difficult to anticipate how the car will respond when I hit the gas. Although VW has replaced my gearbox, the problem has started to recur after just a month. Another issue I've encountered is with visibility. The bottom of the windshield is a straight horizontal, while the hood curves off into oblivion on the outside corners, making it impossible to tell how close you are to a curb or wall in front of you. Lastly, the automatic up and down motion of the frameless windows as you exit and enter the car can become a bit annoying over time.

As a former Toyota owner, I have noticed some issues with this car in comparison. I have already been to the dealership twice for minor problems such as low coolant and a back tail light out. It's disappointing to have these issues with a car that has less than 5000 miles. Additionally, I have noticed that it's a bit jumpy at take off and not as fuel efficient as I had hoped. While I am disappointed, I would like to share my experience with others who may be considering this car.
