2017 Volkswagen Cc problems
The Volkswagen CC, initially sold as the Volkswagen Passat CC, is a car built by German marque Volkswagen from 2008 to 2016. It is a variant of the Volkswagen Passat that trades headroom and cargo space for a coupé-like profile and sweeping roofline. The CC debuted in January 2008, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and was discontinued after the 2017 model year.
Volkswagen said the name CC stands for Comfort Coupe, recognizing its combination of a coupe-like profile with four rather than two doors. While based on the Passat, and sharing its wheelbase, the CC is 27 mm (1.06 inches) longer, 50 mm (1.97 inches) lower, and 36 mm (1.42 inches) wider than the Passat.
While the CC has been replaced by the Arteon in most markets, the latter vehicle retains the CC nameplate in China.

Common 2017 Volkswagen Cc problems
The Volkswagen CC, a luxury sedan produced from 2008 to 2017, has been known to have certain common problems that owners have reported. This article will focus on the 2017 Volkswagen CC and its most frequently mentioned issues based on owner complaints.
- Alloy Wheels: Many 2017 Volkswagen CCs were equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, which can be prone to kerb damage. Such damage can be time-consuming and expensive to repair, and it could also indicate potential suspension alignment issues.
- Bodywork: Due to the CC's rear visibility limitations and the lack of parking sensors in some models, there is a risk of scrapes and dents to the bumpers and bodywork, especially when parking. Therefore, it is essential to check for any signs of damage during the inspection of a used 2017 Volkswagen CC.
- Window Not Lowering in Cold Weather: In cold weather, the window may not lower slightly when opening the door, potentially damaging the rubber seal. To prevent this issue, owners can apply silicone spray to the rubber seals to help prevent the window from freezing to the seal and getting stuck.
- Airbag Recall: A recall was issued for the 2017 Volkswagen CC due to a potential issue with the passenger airbag, which might not deploy as intended in a crash. This recall affected a small number of vehicles produced between 14 September 2016 and 2 November 2016. Owners should check with their dealership to confirm if their vehicle is affected.
- Sticky Electronic Parking Brake: Some owners have reported issues with the electronic parking brake, which can become stuck. This problem is often traced to the switch in the car, but it can also be caused by a seized motor on one of the rear calipers. Separate replacement motors are not readily available, so the whole caliper may need to be replaced.
In conclusion, the 2017 Volkswagen CC has several common issues that owners should be aware of, including DSG transmission servicing, alloy wheel damage, bodywork inspection, window lowering in cold weather, airbag recall, and electronic parking brake problems. Regular maintenance and inspections can help prevent or address these issues, ensuring a more reliable and enjoyable ownership experience.

I love driving this car in the mountains! It has plenty of power and handles great. I always catch myself turning to look at it as I walk away because I absolutely adore the styling. I've got almost five thousand miles on my CC now and everything is fantastic. I just had my first oil change and didn't need to add a drop of oil since I got it. I really love this Volkswagen so far. I turned 10,000 miles in June and went in for my second oil change, everything checked out great. The A/C works really well, even on these eighty degree days!

The 2017 CC R-Line Executive car is a stylish and sporty vehicle with comfortable seats. However, it's worth noting that some must-have features for this price range are missing, such as blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alerts, and home link/home connect features. Despite this, some dealers are offering aggressive pricing to sell this closeout model year.

German cars can be quite expensive to maintain, but it's important to note that proper maintenance can greatly extend the life of the vehicle. While some parts may need to be replaced more frequently than others, it's important to address any issues promptly to avoid further damage. It's also worth noting that many luxury car brands, not just German ones, require more maintenance than non-luxury brands. However, with proper care and attention, these cars can still provide a great driving experience. It's important to do your research and choose a vehicle that fits your budget and lifestyle.

I leased a VW CC from this company, but unfortunately, there was a serious airbag recall that could cause death or serious injury. When I requested to get out of the lease, they were unable to accommodate me since there was no fix for the recall at the time. Although this has caused me some inconvenience, I understand that they were following protocol. I would advise caution when considering this company and their cars.

I love driving this car, but it can be quite expensive to maintain. I've spoken to others who own the same car, and they have had similar experiences. It seems like there is always another costly repair to be made. Although it is a beautiful car, I regret purchasing it. Mine is a 2012.

This car does not offer much luxury for its price and has mostly standard options. Additionally, there were issues with grease leaking out of the bottom of the doors, which the manufacturer refused to fix, claiming it was just excess material used for shipping. Furthermore, the car has significant blind spots. Overall, there are better options available for less money.
