MY CONCERN IS THAT THIS IS AN UNDIAGNOSED ELECTRICAL/COMPUTER ISSUE THAT COULD POSE A SAFETY ISSUE IF IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING, PARTICULARLY ON THE FREEWAY AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. I highly recommend taking this car for a test drive to experience its excellence for yourself. In fact, I am so satisfied with my Volkswagen CC that I would purchase another one without hesitation. It is truly a remarkable car that is worth every penny. I also want to emphasize the importance of paying attention to detail when considering a car purchase. The quality of materials used in the interior and exterior of the car, as well as the solid construction, are all indicators of a well-made vehicle. While you can certainly find this level of quality in a Mercedes or BMW, the Volkswagen CC offers it at a much more reasonable price. I believe that the Volkswagen CC is an underrated car that deserves more recognition from industry experts.

I absolutely love my Sport model CC with 2.0L Turbo engine and 6 speed DSG auto transmission! Even without any extras, it's equipped very well with uncomplicated controls and handles better than competitive Toyota models (e.g., Avalon, etc.) while still being less expensive. My wife and I have taken many road trips in it and we couldn't be happier with the consistently superior and firm, yet never harsh, road handling qualities and graceful smoothness. The standard headlight system, which directs Xenon light toward my intended steering angle a little below 30 mph, is superior to similarly equipped luxury models. Plus, it's easy to beat the 31 mpg highway rating and the trunk has plenty of room (plus fold down rear seats) for our needs. The CC is an all-around well-balanced sedan that's quietly attractive as well. After 30k miles over the last 14 months, this VW just gets better and better. It's a silent highway cruiser and kind of elegant and economical for everyday use around town. People have even come up to me and complimented the car, saying it doesn't look like any VW they've noticed before. Overall, the CC is a safe, roomy, economical vehicle with a sporty feel that wears very well indeed!After driving 48k miles, my CC is still an amazing car. I recently put on a new set of Michelin tires, which made the ride even quieter. Now, with 58k miles, I haven't had to take it to the dealership for anything and the CC is holding up really well. In fact, the car still looks and feels fresh. Even with 68k miles on it, I still appreciate the car as much as before. However, when the engine light came on indicating a faulty intake manifold runner flap, I started to appreciate VW's 100k drive train warranty program. VW installed a complete new manifold with several new parts in just one day, and didn't charge me a penny. Now the car feels like new again, and I feel lucky to have received such great service from VW, especially given the mileage on the vehicle. It's kind of amazing these days...

I leased the Executive 5 months ago and I am still blown away. Before this, I had a Jetta and I was never disappointed with it, but I always wanted a CC. And let me tell you, I am not disappointed at all! I was considering the 3 series, A4, and C Class, but the CC has by far the best interior. Mercedes has this annoying habit of having a full phone dial pad for some reason. I mean, come on, it's 2015! Audi steps it up well, but the screen is all the way up there. And the BMW has way too many buttons. It's like a space shuttle! The CC, on the other hand, is primarily all on the 5.5 inch screen, which I believe is bigger than most screens out there. Plus, the camera never gets foggy.

The CC interior and exterior are truly works of art. It is one of the most beautiful cars on the road today. The 2.0T offers good performance and the DSG transmission is the best on the market. Being one of the last German-made VW's available to North America, besides the Tourag, you can truly appreciate the attention to detail and the quality fit and finish. If you are looking for value for money, you cannot find a more luxurious and beautiful 4-door coupe anywhere. The CC is much better value, a better vehicle, and more spacious than a 3 series BMW, a Mercedes CLA, or an Audi A3. This car is a hidden gem that is often overlooked in favor of higher-priced badges. It shouldn't be. The VW CC is a wonderful German-made, luxury 4-door coupe at a very good price point.

Update: The airbag issue has been fixed. However, there is now a fuel pump recall and no fix has been issued yet. I had to replace all four tires for $1,028 because two rear tires showed steel threads. I will rotate them every 3,000-5,000 miles. Unfortunately, there is still no fix for the suspension, even with lawsuits pending. The rear tires have inside cupping after approximately 15,000 miles and there is road noise from the rear seat area that passengers have noticed. During my first scheduled service and tire rotation upon owning the car, the dealership switched the tires from rear to front, which caused serious road noise and vibration upon stopping. They then switched them back and now they are telling me to replace the tires and get a 4-wheel alignment. This is very costly to the consumer, with the cost to replace tires being approximately $200-$300 a piece, plus $100+ to align. Volkswagen has known about this bad design since 2009 and they continue to use the same setup at least through 2016's models. Additionally, I am concerned about why VW would lower the quality by installing Japanese airbags, which have had two recalls that caused deaths. It's a German car built in Germany, so why install cheap Japanese parts? I do love the VW cc and always believed in German engineering quality, but apparently young guns have started to make major decisions, even to a point of deceiving the consumers, such as with the TDI versions, tire cupping, and suspension issues. Volkswagen needs to stop this practice and lying. They should give loyal customers a well-built car that we pay for and fix the issues instead of covering them up or paying us off with unfair deals, such as offering only one set of new tires or $2,000 to shut us up. As of 5/10/2017, there is still no fix or update on Takata airbag replacement/repair. Despite these issues, I still love the car ♡

As a seasoned VW lessee, I opted for the 2.0turbo and DSG transmission in my 1st CC. The car's styling is a standout feature, with its progressive, swept-back design that looks great both inside and out. The CC also delivers a precise steering and a responsive turbo 4 and gearing, making it a joy to drive. It's a comfortable, easy-to-drive car that's perfect for both highway cruising and commuting. While the transmission may take some getting used to, occasional slow shifts in traffic can be dangerous. Unfortunately, after 3 years, I became dissatisfied with the car and the VW brand. The dealer refused to address the rattles, and the tires wore out prematurely due to factory alignment issues. Additionally, the gas door would freeze shut in cold weather, and the infotainment system was outdated. I ultimately turned it in early and switched to a domestic brand, which I'm very happy with.

You can find the model specifications and technical details on the VW website, so I won't go into that. Instead, I'd like to share my personal impressions of the car. I recently purchased a 2014 CC sport in black for my daily commute, which is a 9-mile drive one way, five days a week, and I also take it on two road trips a year. This is my third VW, having previously owned a Jetta and a GTI. The buying experience was typical, but I was happy with the fair deal I received. The interior and exterior design, fit, and finish are all top-notch. The seams are close and even, the textures are supple, and the ergonomics are well thought out. Driving the car is a pleasure, with a softer ride than the GTI but still very firm. The engine is very responsive, and driving is effortless. However, I must mention that within 30 days of owning the car, the interior developed several squeaks and rattles, which the dealer was unwilling to fix. The driver's mini glove box even cut my hand, and the blower fan made a squaking noise in the morning. The blower eventually died and was replaced under warranty. When I turned the car in with 18,000 miles on it, at least two of the tires were worn out. The dealer said it was due to the steering angle from VW. Twice, I was stuck at a gas station with the fuel door frozen shut (even though there was no recent moisture or snow), and one of the rear seats was locked in the up position, making it impossible to load any long items from the trunk. Despite these issues, the car's comfort, powertrain, and driveability are its strong points, and it's no wonder they were giving them away.

I leased a VW CC from this company, but unfortunately, there was a serious airbag recall that could cause death or serious injury. When I requested to get out of the lease, they were unable to accommodate me since there was no fix for the recall at the time. Although this has caused me some inconvenience, I understand that they were following protocol. I would advise caution when considering this company and their cars.
