My car has never been in accident , but I feel it’s a safety hazard . I’m basically driving mute and I’m sure my airbag will not deploy in case of accident . That was a few years back and do not understand how recalls work , but a recall was started for a reason and NOT completed. Is that even possible? AT THE TIME OF THE ENGINE FAILURE IT HAD 62,569 MILES. THE TIMING CHAIN THAT DESTROYED THE ENGINE PREMATURELY FAILED. I HEARD ABOUT A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SETTLEMENT IN NEW JERSEY FOR THIS PROBLEM AND IT APPEARED MY MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE WAS IN THE GROUP TO BE REIMBURSED FOR DAMAGES. WITH NO OTHER OPTIONS I HAD TO TAKE MONEY FROM MY RETIREMENT SAVINGS AND REPLACE THE ENGINE. AFTER ABOUT ONE MONTH I RECEIVED A TEXT FROM THE DEALERSHIP SAYING THEY HAD BAD NEWS. APPARENTLY AFTER REPLACING THE ENGINE, THEY STARTED THE CAR AND IN TWO MINUTES THEY HEARD AN ABNORMAL KNOCK COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND TOLD ME THAT THE NEW ENGINE WAS GOING TO NEED TO BE REPLACED. NOW I JUST FOUND OUT THAT MY YEAR VEHICLE 2013 CC VW IS NOT PART OF THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. ALL THE EXACT ISSUES I HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT HAVE HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE. OBVIOUSLY THIS DEFECT IS NOT LIMITED TO ONLY THE VEHICLES IN THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE AND PAID EXTRA FOR IT BECAUSE IT WAS CERTIFIED USED. I NEEDED A VERY RELIABLE COMMUTE VEHICLE TO GET TO WORK AND BACK HOME SAFELY. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2012-2016 Eos, 2012 Passat, 2012-2016 CC, 2015-2016 e-Golf, 2011-2015 Touareg, 2012-2015 and 2017 Tiguan, and 2011-2016 Golf and 2011-2013 GTI vehicles. Modifications made while the vehicles were in an internal evaluation period may cause the affected vehicles to not comply with all of the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Consequence: If the vehicles do not meet all regulatory requirements, there could be an increased risk of a crash, fire, or injury.

Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode.
- Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could explode with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants potentially resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator with an alternative inflator, free of charge. The recall began March 16, 2018. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 69Q9. Note: This recall partially supersedes recall 16V-078.

- Consequence: If the fuel pump fails, the engine will stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump control module, free of charge. The recall began June 26, 2018. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 20AE.

- Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflators, free of charge. Volkswagen issued an interim notification to owners on April 12, 2016, and will send a second notification when parts are available. Volkswagen will notify owners again once parts are available. - Summary: Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 Volkswagen CC, and Passat, 2010-2013 Eos, 2011-2014 Golf, GTI, Jetta, and Tiguan, and 2012-2014 Jetta Sportwagen vehicles. In the affected vehicles, debris may contaminate the air bag clock spring, a spiral wound, flat cable that keeps the air bag powered while the steering wheel is being turned. This contamination may tear the cable and result in a loss of electrical connection to the driver's frontal air bag.
- Consequence: A loss of electrical connection to the driver's frontal air bag will prevent the air bag from deploying in the event of a vehicle crash, increasing the risk of injury.
- Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will install a protective cover over the steering wheel clock spring if the air bag light is off. If the airbag light is on and the steering wheel clock spring requires replacement, dealers will install a new steering wheel clock spring. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2016. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-822-8987.

The 2013 CC Luxury Sedan (2.0 L/ T) is a vehicle for the ages.!! I understand now why (VW) did not import it to the U. S. till 2009. It hold its value as well as it holds the road. Luckily I do my own repairs. But if I didn’t it would be for naught. The car, like the Timex Watch, “Takes a likin’ and keeps on ticking”. If you want a car that your Grandfather wished he could own - get a ( VW ) “CC”. End of Story...!!

Congratulations on your new 2013 CC LUX in black oak brown with the two-tone tan/black interior! It's great to hear that you're loving your new car. The CC is a beautifully designed car both inside and out, with elegant and sporty features. It's impressive that the car is still made in Germany, unlike the Passat and Jetta. The ride is tight and hard, which is typical of German cars, but it's also comfortable. The electronics, controls, knobs and buttons all feel high quality and operate smoothly, giving the car an Audi-like feel.

I purchased a 2013 Certified Pre-owned vehicle in 2015. Unfortunately, it has failed inspection due to a faulty intake manifold, which has been a recurring issue in many Volkswagen models with the 2.0 turbo motor. Despite my CPO warranty expiring last month, Volkswagen has refused to cover the cost of the repair. As a result, I have decided to switch back to BMW, as the Volkswagen brand has lost my trust and confidence.

Although I have had some issues with my 2013 Volkswagen CC, I would like to share my experience. In the past 40,000 miles, I have encountered a few problems such as the clutch on the manual transmission burning out within 24 hours of driving off the lot, which was surprising given my 20 years of experience driving manual. Additionally, there was an issue with the motor and the EPC warning, which was covered by a recall but is no longer covered. The trunk also pops open whenever I put the car in reverse, and the adaptive headlight stopped working today. Despite these issues, I am considering going back to BMW. I would like to share my experience to help others make informed decisions when purchasing a car.

I would not recommend buying this car. My personal experience with it has been quite negative. Unfortunately, I have found VW support to be lacking and their dealerships to be subpar. Additionally, there have been numerous issues with the engine that have arisen before reaching 100k miles. The interior colors and side styling of the car are not to my taste, and the stock rims are not as large as I would prefer. Furthermore, the car does not come with navigation. I hope this information helps you make an informed decision. For my part, I will not be purchasing another VW or any of its subsidiaries in the future.

Hi there! I wanted to share my experience with this car. In my opinion, it's a great car for rural and interstate highway conditions. It's not a racing car, but it handles very well and has plenty of power. Plus, it's really fuel efficient! After driving it for 21,000 miles, I can say that it has met all of my expectations. However, I do have one major disappointment: the CC burns oil. According to the owner's manual, oil consumption can be up to 1 quart per 1,200 miles (0.5 liters per 1,000 km), depending on driving conditions. It's definitely something to keep in mind, especially for new vehicles during the first 3,000 miles (5,000 km). Overall, I still think it's a great car and I'm happy with my purchase!
