Yesterday, my wife, some friends, and I decided to go see some interesting art. Unfortunately, less than a mile from our house, we were hit on the driver's side by a pickup truck going about 45-50mph. Despite the severity of the impact, both side impact bags deployed and surprisingly, no glass was broken. The vehicle did what it was designed to do and there was no intrusion into the passenger cabin. However, the truck did damage the left rear tire and wheel. The only injury was to the occupant in the rear passenger seat, who suffered 6 fractured ribs from the seat belt, but we are grateful that it wasn't worse. Although the accident happened so fast that none of us were able to brace, I am very pleased with how the car performed with this impact to the driver's side passenger door. I understand from the Euro safety test that the Macan got good grades and that was proved up this Sept 5th. If anyone wants pictures, I have some.

I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with a 470 hp Hemi engine, which is an absolute blast to drive. However, my wife's Macan S has won me over. I customized it to my liking, and it's an all-around amazing vehicle. The power is more than enough, the handling is incredible, and I love the sleek Agate gray color with black wheels. Whenever I have the option, I choose to take the Macan out for a spin. Even though my Jeep is now 4 years old, I couldn't resist ordering a Macan Turbo for myself. I considered other bigger performance SUVs like the GLE 63S, but after a year of searching, I realized that nothing could compare to the Macan. I often hear people say that the Macan is the baby brother to the Cayenne, but I disagree. The Macan is in a league of its own, and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

I absolutely love my new Macan! It perfectly combines sportiness and practicality, which is exactly what I was looking for after my previous car couldn't handle the bad roads of Houston. The car is engaging and quick in sport mode, but I can easily switch to comfort mode when driving in traffic. It's the perfect size and easy to park. Although I've had an issue with my Sat radio function, I'm confident that Porsche will fix it soon. I'm currently getting about 21MPG combined, which is great. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase!

This car has been an absolute pleasure to drive since day one. Even though my 997 spends most of its time resting in the garage, I always look forward to taking it out for a spin. In addition to the Porsche, we also have a BMW X5 and two BMW X3's in the stable, but they are not as fast or handle as well as the Porsche. The Porsche is a sports car with a hatch that you can comfortably drive for eight hours without feeling fatigued. The car has been in for service due to brake booster issues (vacuum leak) at 30k miles and routine maintenance, but tire wear has been surprisingly little. I owned a Cayenne that ate tires, so having great Michelin tires that look and drive new with 32k miles on them is a bonus. I fully expect to drive this car well over the 100k mark just like the BMW's. I change the oil every 7500 miles and enjoy taking my wet golden retriever and surfboard for a ride in the back.

Great to hear that you're interested in this car! It has fantastic mileage, over 25 mpg, and offers great handling, ride, and acceleration. The cost is in line with the competition, but the resale value is sky high. One thing to keep in mind is that the interior storage space is a bit limited, so it may not be the best choice if you need to carry a lot of items. However, we tested all the cars and this is the one we ultimately decided to purchase. We think you'll love it too, so go ahead and buy it and enjoy!

This sports car is truly amazing! It has fantastic acceleration, incredible handling, and a taut ride. What's more, it comes with a hatch that allows for easy access and turns the backseat into a utility vehicle. The car is packed with well-thought-out features and handles like a dream. Although it may not be the cheapest option out there, I was lucky enough to find a 2016 S with lots of features and only 13k miles on it for under 50K. It's like a brand new car! Just keep in mind that having multiple people in the car can dampen the power and acceleration, but it's still the most fun car you'll ever drive! It's also worth noting that Porsche is second only to Lexus in reliability and tops in resale for SUVs. Overall, this car is a great investment for anyone looking for a thrilling driving experience. UPDATE: While it's true that the car can be expensive to operate as a daily driver, it's still a fantastic car. Although I did have to replace two transfer cases, each costing $7,000, they were covered under warranty and replaced in just three days. It's also worth noting that the car's resale value is still impressive, even after losing 40% of its value in just one year. All in all, this car is definitely worth considering if you're in the market for a high-performance SUV.The driving dynamics and the joy of driving it will be very hard to replace. However, it's important to note that Lexus vehicles are known for their reliability and strong resale value. For example, I owned an LS 430 for 10 years and only needed to change the oil and tires. Additionally, the resale value did not drop significantly over that time period. This is a key consideration when weighing the potential costs of repairs.

I must admit, I have a soft spot for Porsche, so I was excited to get behind the wheel of the Macan S. It's a great performer and strikes the perfect balance for an SUV. It's practical, powerful, and handles like a dream. The design is also a real head-turner. However, I have experienced a few issues with the car, such as a $3,000 headlight, a new transfer case, and major cooling-system problems. The transmission is also starting to fail, and the ignition switch can be temperamental. I've had to take it to the dealership several times for these and other minor issues. Thankfully, my extended warranty has covered the big-ticket items, which have totaled $15,000 so far. Would I recommend this car? It's a tough call. I love it, but the cost of repairs and time spent at the dealership can be hard to justify. Here are a few other things to keep in mind: 1. The cabin heating/cooling system can be a bit finicky, with the air coming out either too hot or too cold. 2. The hill assist can be overly intrusive, causing the car to brake unexpectedly on even the slightest incline. 3. The transmission can shift through the gears prematurely, but this can be remedied by selecting sport or manual mode. 4. The transmission also shifts down to 1st gear after coming to a stop, which can cause the car to lurch forward. 5. Oil changes at the dealership can be pricey, but you can save some money by going to an independent shop. 6. The rear tires tend to wear out faster than the front. Overall, the Macan S is a great car, but it's important to be aware of these issues before making a purchase. This situation can be frustrating because the tires cannot be rotated to the front due to their staggered sizes. Unfortunately, replacing only the worn set is not an option as it would cause an error code due to the difference in size compared to the front. This is a common issue with modern AWD cars that require precise calibration. As a result, all four tires will need to be replaced, which can cost between $1,600 and $2,000. Additionally, there are some cabin rattles that can be quite bothersome.

My Macan S, which I purchased new, experienced some major issues that I was unaware of until I hit 60K. I was informed that my engine needed to be removed due to an oil leak, which is a common problem, along with the transfer case. At this point, the car requires suspension work as the bushings are worn. Despite these issues, I am confident in the quality of my Macan S and believe that with proper maintenance, it will continue to perform at a high level.

The transmission failed at 22k, resulting in poor sound quality. Despite purchasing a new hood, it was clear that it had been painted. As a result, I made the decision to sell the vehicle back to the dealer.

I have owned my 2015 Macan S since new and it has been a great car. However, it has been at the dealer for almost 6 weeks now due to a known issue with the transfer case. Porsche has extended the warranty on Macans for 7 years, which is great, but unfortunately, my car has needed 3 transfer case replacements already. The latest replacement cost me $3,200, which was unexpected. Although Porsche has not covered the costs of the repeated repairs on the same part, I still believe that they make great cars. I understand that sometimes issues arise, but I wish Porsche would acknowledge the problem and work with their customers to find a solution. I have also had some issues with the coding of the modules in my car, which has been frustrating. Despite these issues, I still think that Porsche makes a great car and I would recommend getting an extended warranty for as long as you plan to own it. I hope that Porsche will continue to improve their quality and customer service in the future.
