Common 2016 Porsche Macan problems

The Porsche Macan, introduced in 2014, is a popular sports utility vehicle known for its sleek design and performance capabilities. However, several common problems have been reported by owners of the 2016 model, which include issues with non-engine electrics, bodywork, interior trim, suspension, and fuel efficiency.

One of the most common issues reported by owners of the 2016 Porsche Macan is related to non-engine electrics, which accounted for 9.9% of all problems reported by owners. These issues can include electrical faults, engine warning lights, and servicing needs for engine control units. Most of these problems have been fixed under warranty and within a week, but they can still be a concern for potential buyers of used models.

Bodywork issues are another common problem reported by owners of the 2016 Porsche Macan, accounting for 5.6% of all problems reported. These issues can include scuffs and damage picked up in urban environments, as well as damage to expensive alloy wheels from kerbs. Checking the bodywork and wheels of a used 2016 Porsche Macan is important to ensure that it has been well maintained and not subjected to excessive wear and tear.

Interior trim and suspension issues have also been reported by owners of the 2016 Porsche Macan, accounting for 2.8% of all problems reported for each category. These issues can include problems with the rear seats, interior trim, and suspension components. Checking the interior and suspension components of a used 2016 Porsche Macan is important to ensure that it is in good condition and has been well maintained.

Fuel efficiency is another concern for owners of the 2016 Porsche Macan, with some reporting issues with fuel efficiency and the high cost of maintenance and parts. This can be a concern for potential buyers, as it can impact the overall cost of ownership and the vehicle's environmental impact.

In addition to these common problems, there have been several recalls issued for the 2016 Porsche Macan, including recalls for fuel leaks, brake servo issues, and front passenger airbags. These recalls can impact the safety and reliability of the vehicle, and it is important for potential buyers to check if their vehicle is affected and if any remedial work is required.

Despite these common problems, the Porsche Macan is generally considered to be a reliable vehicle, with a reliability score of 94.1% in the What Car? Reliability Survey. However, it is important for potential buyers to be aware of these common issues and to thoroughly inspect any used 2016 Porsche Macan before purchasing.

Negative 2016 Porsche Macan car reviews

I have owned my 2015 Macan S since new and it has been a great car. However, it has been at the dealer for almost 6 weeks now due to a known issue with the transfer case. Porsche has extended the warranty on Macans for 7 years, which is great, but unfortunately, my car has needed 3 transfer case replacements already. The latest replacement cost me $3,200, which was unexpected. Although Porsche has not covered the costs of the repeated repairs on the same part, I still believe that they make great cars. I understand that sometimes issues arise, but I wish Porsche would acknowledge the problem and work with their customers to find a solution. I have also had some issues with the coding of the modules in my car, which has been frustrating. Despite these issues, I still think that Porsche makes a great car and I would recommend getting an extended warranty for as long as you plan to own it. I hope that Porsche will continue to improve their quality and customer service in the future.

The Macan was an obvious choice for me due to its impressive performance and handling. After driving it for 1300 miles, I can confidently say that the experience keeps getting better. As someone who is 4'11

The car has been running smoothly for the past 2 years and is a joy to drive on both short and long trips. Even my wife prefers it over her own car. I have decided to stick with Porsche from now on.

I absolutely love my Macan S! It has been the most enjoyable car I have ever owned. I have had a long history of purchasing cars, including Ford, Olds, Nissan, Toyotas, Honda, Acuras, Infiniti, and BMWs, but none have impressed me as much as this one. The handling is great, the ride is smooth, and it is surprisingly quiet. It is also fast and gets much better gas mileage than I expected (23.8 @ 2600 miles). I find myself making excuses to go places just so I can drive this car. Although I cannot rate its reliability yet since it is new and my first Porsche, I am confident it will continue to impress me. I came from an '08 and '10 MDX and was considering trying the X-3 35i until I learned about the Macan in January. I picked mine up in May. An update as of 8/16: I still love this car after 2+ years and 27K miles. It has been 100% trouble-free (only a few software updates). I got over 25mpg on a recent road trip and it is still solid and rattle-free. The only minor negatives would be the overpriced reg maintenance cost (i.g. oil changes) and the sun visors could be a little larger. Another update: At 40 months, it is still my favorite new purchase. I had 2 recalls handled with a morning visit, but zero problems to date. It still drives like new and has a great exhaust sound. I usually get the

Hello there! Just a friendly reminder that the Porsche Macan S is an incredibly fast and ultra-responsive SUV. As someone who has owned over 35 cars, I can confidently say that this vehicle is a great purchase. Even if the numbers didn't work, I would still buy it! It's so fast that you can easily pull out in front of most other cars, except for another Porsche of course. The braking system is also phenomenal, stopping from 70-0 mph in just 89 feet. While there are some downsides, such as the $389 oil changes and $2,200 brake job, the CPO warranty has a $0.00 deductible and adds 2 years and up to 100K miles from the original warranty. Thanks for reading!

I have a 2016 Macan S with over 40,000 miles and I am happy to report that I have not encountered any problems so far. While service costs can be high, I have found that most service instructions are available online, such as how to change air filters and plugs. My local dealer has been excellent in providing service. While other cars may offer more electronics and features, I purchased a Porsche for its performance and I have not been disappointed. Even with 57,000 miles, I am still impressed with the car's performance and drivability. I have not experienced any issues with the car. While service costs can be expensive, especially if you rely solely on the dealer, you can save money by performing simple services such as changing filters and plugs. I always get compliments on the car and it never fails to turn heads!
