- Summary: I was driving the car and warning light “possible R gear fault-driving permitted” came on. While driving on a highway at 50 mph, gear shift started malfunctioning and oscillating between 2nd and 4th gears and I could not change the gears. I lost control of the car speed and it would drop to 25-30mph even if I stepped on the gas pedal. It felt like the car would come to a complete standstill on a highway with other cars driving around me at 50-60+ mph. I had my car towed to Porsche dealership. They spent 2 weeks at the dealership and said that they have replaced a transmission valve body. They told me to take the car back. Based on suddenly losing the control of the car speed on a highway, I did not feel safe to put the car back on the road. Porsche company offered money to cover rental car cost but refused to repurchase the car and provide me with another lease car. Although they were not sure whether this incident could recur and I told them that, for the safety of myself and other drivers, this car should not be placed back on the road. There are several Porsche owner forums which reported multiple identical incidents but both dealership and Porsche company were ignoring the owners’ concerns and putting the problem under a rug. This is a serious manufacturer defect and Porsche cars are known to have these transmission issues but no recall has been made to address such significant safety issues that may cause multi-vehicle accidents. They are also refusing to issue a statement that they would be fully liable if a similar transmission failure recurs and results in accidents that could potentially endanger the drivers involved. I would be happy to provide the car for inspection.

- Summary: Hi - I hope all is well. I have had the below issues with my vehicle and the dealer is saying they cannot replicate them. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle and I’ve been complaining of the same issues since I got it. The speedometer flickers at random start time and when I drive, The radio still goes in and out after it was replaced. The car still randomly turns off at lights or ticket kiosks at the mall. It will ask me to restart the engine. This is insane. I didn’t pay for this vehicle to have such a bad and unsafe situation. This needs to be handled.

Great cornering, smooth ride, and very comfortable! Although it's a bit of a gas guzzler at 22 mpg, it's worth it for the speed and performance. This car is perfect for long trips or winding country roads, and it handles well off-road too. I bought my MACAN S 2021 in January of 2021 and have already put 19400 miles on it, but so far, so good! The only downside is that the tech is poor on voice. Overall, I highly recommend this car!

After owning six SUVs from another German manufacturer, I must say that the Macan is by far the best driving one. Porsche has really figured out how to provide feedback with electric power steering. The suspension is firm, yet eliminates harshness. All the controls are easy to use and you don't have to use the display to adjust the controls normally used. The Macan is incredibly quiet. Several people have commented on how quiet it is. I have nothing negative to say about the Macan. Of all the vehicles my wife and I have owned over 50 plus years, this is our favorite vehicle. UPDATE: Of the nine SAVs and SUVs we have owned, the Macan is by far our favorite. While it does not carry as much as the larger SUVs, it is way more fun to drive. It has the best steering, handling and braking of any SUV I have ever driven. It certainly drives closer to a sports sedan than it does to a typical large and heavy SAV/SUV.

From the first test drive, I could tell that this was the perfect SUV for me. The ride and handling are just ideal. The only thing I would change is to upgrade the seats for a bit more comfort on long distance journeys.

Hello! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2020 Porsche Macan that I purchased from Greenwich Porsche on 4/21. Unfortunately, I've been having some trouble with the brakes. They make a loud squealing noise, almost like an 18 wheeler, especially in stop and go traffic. When I reached out to Greenwich and Fairfield Porsche, they told me that this is a common issue with high performance brakes. However, I'm not convinced as none of my friends who own Porsches have ever mentioned this issue, and I haven't read about it in any Porsche writeups. I'm feeling a bit frustrated and concerned for my safety, especially since I paid cash for this vehicle. The handling was really nice, but unfortunately, the Macan S had some bad turbo lag. Also, it's worth noting that it doesn't come with a flat bottom steering wheel.

Hi there! I noticed that you mentioned that your downshift paddle shifters gears 5 thru 1 are not slowing down your vehicle in both auto and manual mode. It seems like the engine revs and the RPM's increase, but the transmission doesn't engage to slow the vehicle. Have you tried checking if there are any issues with the transmission? I hope you're doing well! I noticed that you mentioned your 2017 Macan GTS had a smoother and more refined ride due to its electronic air suspension. Since there was no GTS available at the time, you decided to go for the 2020 S instead. Living in New York, you've experienced that most roads have a brutally harsh ride quality, but on the highway at high speed, it's a true sports car. It's fast and very well built. Without the GTS suspension, you wouldn't have made the deal or paid much less for the base Macan, not the S.
