2023 Nissan Titan problems
The Nissan Titan is a full-size pickup truck manufactured in the United States for the North American market by Nissan. It was named after the Titans of Greek mythology.
First generation (A60; 2003)
Development of the Titan began in September 1999, with design work under Diane Allen. Giovanny Arroba's TA60 exterior was chosen in late 2000, with a final production freeze in July 2001. The design language of the future truck was previewed by the 2001 Alpha T concept shown at the 2001 North American International Auto Show, which had previously developed through November 2000.
Production began on September 21, 2003, and sales on December 1, 2003. The Titan used Nissan's new full-size F-Alpha platform. This new platform was shared with the Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX56 SUVs, with all three manufactured in Canton, Mississippi, United States. The first generation Titan continued without a major redesign through 2015.

- Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2023 Titan and Frontier vehicles. The tires may have a tear in the inner bead which can cause a rapid loss of tire pressure.
- Consequence: A rapid loss of tire pressure while driving can lead to a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Dealers will replace all four road tires, or inspect and replace the spare tire assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 10, 2023. - Consequence: A vehicle rollaway increases the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Owners are advised to apply the parking brake every time they park their vehicle. I spent two years test driving trucks before making a decision. I have now owned the Titan for about a year and I couldn't be happier. Coming from the Ford Expedition, I really tried to like the new F150. However, I had to spend 70-80K to get what I wanted and the value just wasn't there. Then I discovered the Titan, which offers a better ride and more comfort for 10-15K less. I also considered the Ram, but I wasn't confident in its reliability. Although I had to give up a trick tailgate, the Titan step that folds easily under the bumper is a great alternative. I use the Titan boxes all the time to store gear for towing and boating. As a family of four with two smaller dogs and a 20' boat, we frequently travel long distances. The towing capability of the Titan is excellent, and everyone is very comfortable. It may seem like the spec wars and marketing favour other truck brands, but I am extremely happy with my choice.

If you're looking for a truck that won't let you down and has the grunt of a V8, the '21 PRO-4X Titan is the one for you! This is actually my second Titan and I couldn't be happier with it. The steering is well weighted and handles potholes with ease, unlike my previous work trucks. The ride is smooth and comfortable, even at high speeds. The 9-speed transmission fills in the gaps from previous generations and provides plenty of power. While the first gear ratio is a bit low, it should result in less transmission wear over time compared to competitors. The interior is well-appointed and the seats are firm yet comfortable. I've had mine for a year now and have only put 10k miles on it, but I wish I could drive it more often!

I test drove Rams, Silverado’s and F 150s. The Nissan is a great truck for a great price that simply outdoes all of these trucks. I had a 2018 pro 4x, that was bullet proof. That is why I got another. Interior materials, especially the leather, look great! Seats and visibility are excellent. Gas mileage is on par with the others. Ride quality is excellent. I think this truck is definitely underrated and should be considered by all before making a purchase decision. The great warranty also helps in the decision-making process. This truck stands out from the rest in its styling. You do not see one on every corner!

I own a Nissan Titan Pro4X, which is a great looking truck. However, I have noticed that it can be a bit laggy when it comes to takeoff power and switching gears, such as downshifting to pass someone or taking off from a light. Additionally, I have found that the infotainment system leaves much to be desired. The maps are not very accurate and the software seems outdated. It also struggles to connect with phones and the voice commands are not very responsive. Despite these issues, I still believe that Nissan has the potential to create a great truck. However, there are some areas that could use improvement.

The 2021 Titan SV truck runs and handles great. However, there is an issue with mold buildup in the two tracks on the top. Despite having them cleaned and painted by the dealer, the repair is turning yellow and the mold is building up again. It is worth noting that I do not park under or near any trees, but rather in my driveway or in the parking lot at work. While the mold is unsightly, I am confident that a solution can be found to address this issue.
