2022 Nissan Rogue sport problems

nissan logo

The Nissan Rogue is a compact crossover SUV produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan. It made its debut in October 2007 for the 2008 model year. Beginning in 2013 for the 2014 model year, the model has been merged with the X-Trail sold outside the North American market, making them identical. It is currently Nissan's best-selling vehicle in the United States.

As of 2023, the Rogue was manufactured at the Nissan Smyrna Assembly Plant in Tennessee, United States and at the Nissan Motor Kyushu plant in Kanda, Fukuoka, Japan. Between August 2014 and March 2020, it was also built at the Renault Samsung Motors plant in Busan, South Korea under contract.

First generation (S35; 2007)

The first-generation Rogue made its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on 7 January 2007. It replaces the Nissan X-Trail in Canada as Nissan's entry-level SUV and the body-on-frame Nissan Xterra in Mexico due to the Smyrna plant freeing capacity for the Suzuki Equator, although the Xterra continued on sale in the United States and Canada through 2015 after being withdrawn from the Mexican market after the 2008 model year.

The first-generation Rogue was available in three trim levels in the United States: S, SV and SL, available with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

Negative 2022 Nissan Rogue sport car reviews

  1. Otto Greenfelder 2024-06-19

The road noise is quite loud and the seats are uncomfortable, but I found a solution by packing towels for extra support. Unfortunately, there is no digital speedometer and the door locks are placed behind the door handle, which can make access difficult. As a shorter person, I found that the seat belt rests across my neck instead of my chest and the steering wheel blocks the instrument panel. Additionally, the console is too low to rest my arm comfortably. I did have some trouble removing the key from the ignition without hitting my hand on the dash. When I tried to trade it in at the dealership, I was disappointed with the offer of only 17,000 despite having only 500 miles on it. However, I will give two stars for the sporty look and large cargo space. Overall, I would not recommend this car, but it does have some positive features worth noting.

  2. Skye Dicki 2024-05-08

I recently test drove the SV trim and unfortunately, it did not feel like a new car. It felt more like a beat-up rental from Hertz. However, the car does have a good engine and a great cargo area. Despite this, I have decided to go back to the RAV 4, which I consider to be the A-1 steak sauce of SUVs. I encourage you to test drive both and make your own decision, as some reviews may be biased towards a certain brand. Thank you for considering my experience.

  3. Karl Rice 2024-04-17

I test drove the Rogue Sport and found the acceleration and overall ride to be underwhelming. However, I ultimately decided to purchase the Rogue Platinum, which I find to be a much more enjoyable ride.

I'm glad to hear that you haven't had any issues with your car. It's great to know that the salesperson at Auto Nation Nissan Miami has been very responsive whenever you have questions about repairing some cosmetic issues or getting a second key for your car.

  2. Madison Kreiger 2024-08-03

Hey there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to let you know that the car you're interested in has a really smooth ride and handles great in the snow, even with the stock tires. Let me know if you have any other questions!

  3. Abdiel Kuhlman 2024-07-16

The 2022 Nissan Rogue Sport is the perfect SUV for me. It met all my requirements for easy access, comfortable seating, and ample cargo space for my power chair, all while having low mileage. I purchased it on my birthday in January of this year and have not regretted it since. The ride is smooth and quiet, and the seats are incredibly comfortable. I particularly appreciate the lane assist feature, which has been a great help to me as I tend to overlook my blind spots. Although the infotainment system may not be the most up-to-date, it is more than sufficient for my needs. The only area for improvement is the gas mileage, which is why I rate the 2022 Rogue Sport S a 4.

  4. Mathias Veum 2024-07-10

I'm glad to hear that you recently retired and decided to switch to a crossover! As someone who has always driven sedans, it can be a big change, but it sounds like you made an excellent choice with the Rogue Sport. This vehicle is easy to maneuver and has many high-end features, including a great sound system. Based on your positive experience, I would highly recommend the 2020 Rogue Sport to others looking for a reliable and enjoyable crossover.

  5. Alf O'Kon 2024-06-19

Just the right size and just the right features. It fits both myself and my wife perfectly at this stage of our lives. We have been loyal Nissan customers for 32 years, having owned a total of 14 Nissan vehicles since 1990. Needless to say, we absolutely love Nissans!
