Went to BJ's tire in Pasadena, MD (1-410-647-6600) to have a rotation and they said they could not do it the lug nuts expanded to larger size and it could cross thread if they got them off and tried tout them back on. AS WELL THEY MIGHT NOT BE SECURED TIGHT ENOUGH THAT THEY WOULD NOT FALLOFF WHILE DRIVING. A SAFTY ISSUES WITH BJ'S. BOTH MECHANICS VERIFIED IT AND THE TWO MANAGERS OF THE STORE AS WE.. I did not believe them so I took it to Sheehy Nissan in glen Burnie where the two top managers verified that the lug nut expanded so large they had to be replaces OR IT WOULD BE A SAFTY ISSUE with me driving with he old one on as they cannot be safely tightened down and may come off during driving. So I need all 24 lug nuts replaced. I think he said they expanded from 21 mm (or cm) to 22.5 mm (or cm).the manager has been doing this for over 30 years and his assistant said the same who has been doing it for over 25 years. Mr Brian Jordan at 1-410-760-3500 ext #81052) So I need all 24 replaced as the rest could expand. The real cost is over $800 but willing to do it for like $550 plus tire rotation. As both BJ's managers and tire people and Nissan managers are saying thesis a serious safety issue I believe them. They say unless proper tools used other issues can occur. And ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE BY THE OWNER OF THE VECHILE. Especially if the person icon the road replacing the tier with the spare. They showed me on the internet the issues with ford and other manufactures from before 2000 having this issue. As I am [XXX] it would be really hard to deal with if an emergency came up o the road. I ASKED FOR THEM TO SPLIT THE COST WITH ME TO HAVE POST MARKET AUXILIARY ELECTRONICS LOCKS INSTALLED AND THEY REFUSED. IT HAS BEEN AN ONGOING SAFETY HAZARD SINCE I GOT IT BY NOT HAVING AMPLE ACCESS TO OPEN THE BACK DOORS. I WILL HAVE GRANDCHILDREN ONE OF THESE DAYS AND I WILL BE FORCED TO TRADE THIS TRUCK IN BECASUE THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD STRAP AN INFANT INTO THE BACK SEAT WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO QUICKLY OPEN THE DOOR IF THEY BECAME CHOKED OR FOR SOME OTHER REASON THEY NEEDED QUICK ATTENTION. This Frontier's best asset is its fuel cost. As the first midsize truck I have owned, it is nice to fill up for less than $40. While it may not be quite as comfortable as full-size trucks, it will pull a utility trailer loaded to my satisfaction. I have taken it on 7-hour, 4-hour, and a few 2-hour trips. While longer trips are not this truck's strong point, it does have good gas mileage. Luxury is not a priority, but it will pass traffic with ease when necessary. If you find a V6 on sale, I highly recommend this Nissan.

This truck has provided me with everything I need and nothing I don't. Its 5-speed engine is perfect and reminds you that it's all you need in a vehicle to get you where you want to go, no matter the weather. I've grown accustomed to the anti-bling interior, which is a rarity nowadays. It's more like a Motel 8 interior, but you'll soon feel comfortable in it if you're tired enough. Since it's a truck, shiny is not a word in its dictionary. If you need a truck for work and play, there's no need to look any further. It won't let you down.

We made the mistake of purchasing the Nissan Frontier base model without power windows or door locks, not realizing how difficult it would be for us in our 70's. I was impressed by its performance on Ute Pass, where it easily navigated the tight mountain turns and switchbacks at 65 mph without slipping or sliding. And for those who prefer a manual transmission, the 2016 off-road version of the Frontier is a great choice. While the gas mileage in town averages around 17/18, it's geared lower for off-road use, providing superior power and handling. Unfortunately, Nissan has discontinued the standard manual transmission offering in this model, but the signature cloth seats with the Pro-4X logo are still a comfortable option.Finally, it's worth noting that Nissan will no longer be offering manual transmissions for this model. It's a shame, but Toyota still has manual options available on their Tacomas. However, keep in mind that these need to be ordered from the factory and can take up to 6 months to arrive. Additionally, it's important to note that Toyota does carry a $15,000 mark-up over Nissan.

I strongly advise against purchasing the Frontier as it has poor gas mileage for a smaller truck and is susceptible to bouncing around when semi trucks pass, resulting in feeling every bump in the road.

Hello, I recently purchased a 2016 Frontier and noticed that the padding near the backrest in the driver's seat is missing. Unfortunately, this has caused some discomfort and pain in my back. While the passenger seat is comfortable and has the padding, I have been unable to get Nissan to replace or repair the driver's seat. This has left me feeling dissatisfied with Nissan's customer service. I had previously purchased a 2011 Frontier and was very happy with it, which is why I decided to purchase a new 2016 model. However, the driver and passenger seats on the 2011 were identical and comfortable. I hope that Nissan can address this issue and improve their customer service. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I've had the 2016 rental 3 weeks while my car is getting repaired from an accident. I enjoy driving the truck as it has plenty of power and handles very well, but the mileage is nowhere near its EPA rating. I'm getting only 12-15 mpg with 2/3rd of more of my driving on highways. A lot of full size trucks do better. What really surprised me is the lack of small features I've grown accustomed to in my GM vehicles. The lights are manual - you have to turn them on and off. C'mon! I had a 2003 Chevy S10 pickup (base work truck model) that had automatic lights. This Frontier is a loaded model and it doesn't have this feature. It also lacks a vehicle travel computer showing instantaneous and average speeds and gasoline consumption, miles until empty, etc., nor an outside temperature readout. I read through the manual to find out if they are hidden behind some function on the radio/info center. Every GM vehicle I've had since 2007 has all these as standard on every model and trim level. Also, it didn't have the rear camera, though the manual indicated some models have it. I expected it on a loaded 4wd full cab 4x4. Again, a feature that GM is making standard on all vehicles.

This is a nice mid-sized truck, but I did notice that the brake pedal feels quite spongy and goes down almost to the floor. When I checked with the service manager, they explained that the brakes are designed that way. Additionally, I found the controls a bit confusing, but I didn't have a chance to really study them. Overall, I think I'll stick with my Silverado.
