THE AFFECTED FRONT STRUT MOUNTS DID NOT CONTAIN A WELD JOINT BETWEEN THE BEARING HOUSING AND THE RATE PLATE.
- Consequence: THE ABSENCE OF THE WELD CAN ALLOW THE STRUT TO COME OUT OF ITS MOUNTING POSITION UNDER CERTAIN EXTREME DRIVING CONDITIONS WHICH COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO SURROUNDING VEHICLE COMPONENTS INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
- Remedy: RIDE CONTROL WILL NOTIFY OWNERS OF RECORD AND REPLACE THE AFFECTED PARTS FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 15, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT RIDE CONTROL AT 1-248-458-1396.

- Consequence: A LEAKING BRAKE HOSE REDUCES BRAKING CAPABILITY, INCREASES STOPPING DISTANCES AND INCREASES THE RISK OF AN ACCIDENT.
- Remedy: THE RIGHT REAR BRAKE HOSE WILL BE INSPECTED TO DETERMINE IF IT IS ROUTED CORRECTLY. MISROUTED HOSES WILL BE INSPECTED FOR DAMAGE, REPLACED IF NECESSARY, AND CORRECTLY ROUTED.

- Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A BRACKET TO PREVENT THE SHIFT POSITION PIN FROM BREAKING THE SHIFT LEVER LOCK PLATE.

I bought this car because of the Nissan nameplate and I was not disappointed at all. It starts without hesitation every day, even in cold weather. Although the gas mileage is a little low, only 245 miles per tank, the performance is still great for an automobile this old. I loved it so much that I bought a 2003 Altima. The only issues I've had are squeaky brakes that never seem to be quiet with any repair, a check engine light that pops on when nothing is wrong with the car, and recently a very bad oil leak that I have gotten repaired twice ($500 each repair!) that seems to come back every couple of months. Despite these minor issues, I would still highly recommend this car to anyone!

Congratulations on your car's impressive performance! It's amazing that after 7 years and 150,000 miles, your car still runs strong and is ready to go every time you get into it. It's great to hear that you had some major service done at 120,000 miles, including seals, exhaust, clutch, and tires. With a new job lined up in sales, you plan to take it on a cross country trip and push 45k+ miles a year. I'm sure your car will continue to perform well and you'll reach your goal of 250k - 300k miles!

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share my experience with my Nissan. I bought it used 4 years ago, and it's been amazing! With 80k miles on it, I've only needed to do normal maintenance, except for replacing the alternator. It's definitely been an excellent used car buy. The car is incredibly reliable and has plenty of power for its class, while still getting decent gas mileage. One of the things I love about Nissans is how durable their suspension parts are, and this car is no exception. Even after all this time, the car still rides like new with no thumps or rattles, and nothing underneath has ever needed to be replaced. The 15

Who wouldn't want a free car? When I received this car, it needed some love and care. Unfortunately, the previous owners didn't take good care of it. However, I went ahead and did all the maintenance on it. It still needs some parts to be replaced, such as the axle, suspension bushing, and tires. Other than that, the car runs pretty well.

I bought this car with 130,000 miles on it. In the year and a half since I've owned it I have put as much in repairs into it than I paid for the thing. An alternator, a starter, all new brakes, new exhaust pipe and muffler, and it still isn't running right. Even with regular maintenance this car is a lemon. Occasionally it just doesn't start, with no explanation. Also, the ABS light lit up and the car wouldn't start for days. I bought the car with the impression that Nissans were reliable.

Hey there! Just wanted to give you a heads up about my experience with the car. Unfortunately, I ended up buying a lemon and had to spend over $1000 fixing things that were already broken or worn out before I got it. So, I would highly recommend getting it checked out before making a purchase. Although it looks nice, it still needs another $700+ worth of parts and labor. However, it is still a cheaper option than buying a brand new car. Hope this helps!

I'm not really sure what happened with my Altima, because it's been horrible since day one! I find this very odd because I have three other relatives who have Altimas and theirs have been trouble-free. That's the whole reason I purchased mine, thinking it would be as reliable as theirs. I've spent thousands of dollars to keep this car running. I have to admit, this car does have a beautiful exterior, and I still love the way it looks. It's just the reliability that sucks! However, I have to admit that even with the problems I've had with it, it runs better than a lot of cars out there. For example, my aunt's 2002 Kia Rio. :-)
