- Summary: The systems that failed is the emergency parking brake, as well as, the tire pressure monitoring system. Both systems would be available for inspection on request. Due to the failure of the emergency parking brake places not only the safety of others but myself, as well, at risk in the event of an emergency braking situation. Due to the failure of the tire pressure monitoring system could also place others safety and myself at risk by causing a tire to be flat without me being aware. Upon taking my vehicle to the dealership for the TPMS recall they said that I could book a service appointment with a service advisor to get the recall completed, however, the TPMS recall was never completed. Currently, the vehicle has not been inspected by anyone at this time. There is currently a warning light for the TPMS sensors, for the Electronic Parking Brake when parking the car the EPB will engage automatically the only way to disengage it is by shifting the vehicle out of park to another gear such as reverse, neutral or drive. When trying to operate the EPB while parked or while driving, it does not engage. The TPMS warning light came on around the end of 2020 in December. The EPB stopped engaging around April of 2021 this year.

YOU NEED TO DO A STUDY OF TIRE FAILURE IN THIS YEAR CAR WITH THOSE WHEELS AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THERE IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. I HAVE REPORTED IT TO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES BUT SINCE THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY FIXING FLATS THEY HAVE NO INTEREST IN ADDRESSING THIS PROBLEM. I REPORTED IT TO MASERATI CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING UNLESS THE DEALERS REPORT THIS AS A PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MANY TYPES OF CARS FOR OVER 38 YEARS AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT THIS IS DEFINITELY A HIGHLY ABNORMAL SITUATION. I HAVE NAMES OF OTHER PEOPLE I KNOW WHO HAVE THE SAME CAR AND CAN ATTEST TO THE IDENTICAL PROBLEM. *TR

- Summary: Maserati is recalling certain model year 2012 Quattroporte, Granturismo, Granturismo Convertible, and Granturismo MC vehicles. The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may malfunction due to a software error, preventing the driver from being notified of a low tire pressure situation.
- Consequence: If the driver continues to operate the vehicle with a tire that has low air pressure, the tire may fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the TPMS control unit free of charge. The recall began on October 31, 2012. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737.

Congratulations on your new car! It's amazing that you now own a car that costs over $100,000. I can understand why you didn't hesitate to get it, it's a dream to drive! The QP is a real head-turner and a rubber-burner. Although you can't really open it up on the freeway, it's still a great car to drive. It looks and sounds fantastic both inside and out. Of course, as with all great things, there are a few kinks that Maserati should iron out. Overall, it sounds like you made a great choice!

I've owned 6 Bentleys, around 30 Mercedes, BMWs, Audis, Jags, and even a Jensen Interceptor, but I must say, I am pleasantly surprised with my new Maserati Quattroporte S! It's incredibly quick, quiet, smooth, and absolutely gorgeous! I only have two minor complaints: firstly, the lane change lever is too far from the steering wheel and behind the large paddle shifters, and secondly, the accelerator and brake are too close together. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to activate my Bluetooth phone, and since I'm 90 miles away from the dealer, we're dealing with it over the phone!

I am a car guy - period. Over 44 driving years I have owned every model of Porshe (excluding Panamera) every series BMW including theM's, 5 Vettes and a few others I've built. The Sport GTS takes a few miles to learn to drive, and appreciate, but in Sport Mode, Manual shift using paddles it is absolutely excellent in every aspect. Handling - bearing in mind it is a 4400 lb car - is every bit as good if not better than my EX 2011 M3 with competition package, much smoother on corners than any Vette. and definitely not lacking on power. Granted it does not have all the stupid stuff no reasonable person would want (as offered with S550 or 7 series). But talk about attention getting. Wow!

We all know the pros of this car - stylish, great sound, exotic, and a real head-turner. However, as someone who is 6'3 and 230 pounds, I found the driver's seat to be too tight. My legs felt like they were held too close together and I needed the seat to extend further back. Unfortunately, I can't keep it, but the Grand Turismo fits me much better.

I purchased my car in May and unfortunately, it has spent a total of 3 out of the 4 months in the shop due to various issues such as computer problems, a leak in the interior, and a faulty CD player. Although the engine and handling of the car are excellent, the quality of the car is not up to par and Maserati does not have the necessary maintenance supply set-up to handle mass produced cars. This has resulted in longer wait times for repairs, such as the 2 weeks it took to fix the window leak. Additionally, the electronics and gadgetry of the car are not up to the standards of most other mid and high end vehicles. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this car.

I appreciate the opportunity to try out the Maserati, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. Although the car looked stunning at the dealer and drove well during the test drive, I encountered some issues during my lease. The rear seat comfort was not up to par and the navigation system malfunctioned. Additionally, I found the power to be lacking compared to my previous Mercedes Benz E55 AMG. Despite these setbacks, I am grateful for the experience and have learned that Mercedes AMG is the right choice for me.
