Matching the Cadillac Northstar engine, the Mark VIII was fitted with a dual-overhead cam 4.6L V8, the first Ford Motor Company vehicle fitted with such an engine.
Through its six-year production run, the Mark VIII was manufactured by Ford at its Wixom Assembly Plant (Wixom, Michigan). As of current production, the model line is the final generation of the Mark series and Lincoln has not introduced a direct successor to the model line ever since its 1998 discontinuation.

I've had my mark since it was 6 months old. It has been incredibly dependable. This car looks great and has a powerful 4.6l 32 valve V8 under the hood. It really moves when you put the pedal to the metal. Plus, if you are light on the gas pedal, it gets 20+ mpg riding around in town.

I have always loved Lincoln Marks. I have owned 2 MK IV's ('73 &'74) and since 2003, 2 Mk VIII's ('94 &'97). I obviously like them enough to keep them for the past 18 years!!! The '94 is in near mint condition with only 59k miles and the '97 with 176k. I have ALWAYS had American rear drive, V8 coupes and these have been the very best of them with a classic '71 Buick Riviera being a close 2nd. I hope this message finds you well! I just wanted to share my experience with my car. I've been lucky enough to own it for four (4) years now and I have to say, it's been a real joy to drive. I haven't had any issues with it and it's been incredibly dependable. Plus, the gas mileage is fantastic - I get around 26-27 on the highway and 23-24 in the city. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this car to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable ride.
