2004 Lincoln Ls problems
The Lincoln LS is a four-door, five-passenger luxury sedan manufactured and marketed by Ford's Lincoln division over a single generation from 1999 until 2006. Introduced in June 1999 for the 2000 model year, the LS featured rear-wheel drive and near 50/50 weight distribution and was available with a V8 or V6, the latter initially offered with a manual transmission. The LS aimed to provide a blend of luxury and sport to attract a new generation of buyers to the Lincoln brand.
The LS shared the Ford DEW98 platform with the Jaguar S-Type and the Ford Thunderbird. Trim levels ranged from the base V6 model to the Special Edition V8 LSE trims in 2004, with revised front and rear fascia, taillights and foglights, and front grille.
LS models were manufactured at Ford's Wixom Assembly Plant until production ended on April 3, 2006, and the plant was idled as part of Ford's The Way Forward. Approximately 262,900 were manufactured, including 2,331 with manual transmissions and 1,500 LSE editions.

Common 2004 Lincoln Ls problems
The 2004 Lincoln LS, a luxury sports sedan, has been praised for its attractive appearance and driver-friendly features. However, it has also been criticized for engine problems, including misfires, stalling, and shutdowns.
One of the common problems with the 2004 Lincoln LS is low fuel pressure, which can cause the engine to shut down at lower speeds due to insufficient fuel from the tank. A broken fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter could be the culprit behind this issue.
Another common problem with the 2004 Lincoln LS is engine misfires, which can be caused by faulty spark plugs, ignition coils, or fuel injectors. These issues can lead to a rough idle, poor acceleration, and decreased fuel efficiency.
The 2004 Lincoln LS has also been known to have issues with its transmission, with many owners reporting problems with the transmission shifting or engaging. These issues can be caused by worn-out transmission fluid, a faulty solenoid, or a damaged torque converter.
In addition to engine and transmission problems, the 2004 Lincoln LS has also been reported to have issues with its air conditioning system, with many owners complaining about the system blowing hot air. This issue can be caused by a faulty compressor, a refrigerant leak, or a damaged condenser.
Finally, the 2004 Lincoln LS has also been reported to have issues with its cooling system, with many owners complaining about overheating and leaks. These issues can be caused by a faulty water pump, a damaged radiator, or a leaking hose.
In conclusion, the 2004 Lincoln LS has been known to have a number of common problems, including engine misfires, low fuel pressure, transmission issues, air conditioning problems, and cooling system issues. If you are considering purchasing a used 2004 Lincoln LS, it is important to be aware of these potential issues and to have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic before making a purchase.

The LS is an impressive car that offers plenty of power and exceptional comfort. It's no surprise that foreign luxury car owners often compliment my car. While the stereo could be improved, upgrading to the THX system is a great option to enhance your listening experience. Overall, the LS is a top-of-the-line vehicle that is sure to impress.

Welcome back! I hope you had a great trip. I wanted to check in and see how your new Lincoln LS performed. It sounds like the car handled well overall and was comfortable, which is great to hear. I understand that the requirement for 91 octane fuel may be a bit inconvenient, and the interior noise level was higher than expected. However, it's impressive that the LS performed well even under tough conditions like water over the highway. Overall, it sounds like you're satisfied with the car, and that's what matters most. Thanks for sharing your experience with me!

This car reminds me of when I was a teenager. It's got great acceleration and corners like a sports car. Plus, it's got all the luxury you could want. The only thing I'd like to see is an updated, more Euro-style dash.
-
We've had it for 4 months now and so far it's been great all the way around.

You had a great ride and handling experience! The heated and cooled seats were fantastic. It would have been even better if it had MXV4+ 235/55/17 tires and LED tail lights. The drive by wire could be a potential issue, but overall it was a great experience. The window up and down buttons could be improved and made more user-friendly, similar to the 2000 model. Lastly, the paint job was excellent!

I've had my LS for 21 days, but unfortunately it has spent 11 of those days in the service department. It's been a frustrating experience, but I'm hopeful that things will improve. I really do love the car, and I'm determined to get it running smoothly. When the dealership isn't able to help, it's always a good idea to seek out other options.
