Based on the information provided in the sources, here are some common problems reported by owners of the 2016 Lexus RC 200t:
- Weight and Performance: The Lexus RC 200t is notably heavier than its competitors, affecting its sporty aspirations and performance. The extra weight, around 230kg more than some rivals, impacts acceleration, handling, and overall agility, making it slower in sprints and less responsive in dynamic driving situations.

- Transmission Delay: There have been reports of a slight delay in acceleration with the 2016 Lexus RC 200t. While the car offers decent power once it gets going, some owners have noted a delay in response during acceleration, which can impact the driving experience, especially in situations requiring quick throttle response.
- Cabin Comfort: Despite being praised for its luxurious interior, some owners have mentioned issues related to cabin comfort. While the power seats are appreciated for their comfort, there have been reports of back issues and concerns about the overall comfort level, especially during long drives.
- User Interface: The touchpad interface in the Lexus RC 200t has been a point of contention for some owners. The sensitivity and usability of the touchpad have been criticized, with users finding it challenging to navigate through various functions and settings, leading to frustration and usability issues.
These problems highlight some key areas where owners have experienced challenges or shortcomings with the 2016 Lexus RC 200t. Addressing these issues can enhance the overall ownership experience and satisfaction for Lexus RC 200t owners.

Beautiful car that can barely be faulted. However, I noticed that the first tank of gas on 200t yielded 14.4 mpg, which was worse than any 6 or 8 cylinder car I've ever driven. But, after driving it for a while, I learned how to get the best mileage out of it. On the second tank, I had it on 'Regular' drive, which means the turbo charger only pops in when necessary, and I got 25.6 mpg. On the third tank, I got an impressive 35 mpg. Now, I always know how to drive it for the best mileage, while still being able to jam that turbo charger in for high performance.

I was a bit nervous after trading my powerful V8 400hp Range Rover Sport Supercharger for a smaller 4cyl Turbocharger 241 and the low profile of the RC 200t. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the car's eco mode which saves gas, and the sport mode which makes the car come to life. Although it's not race car fast, it's fast enough for the streets. Additionally, the manual mode with paddle shifters made me grin from ear to ear, especially when merging onto the freeway. I like to call my RC 200t my Swiss army knife, and at the end of the day, I'm happy with my purchase. After all, isn't that all that really matters?

This car is beautiful and designed very well. The only downside is the Inline 4 with turbo, which puts Lexus behind BMW and Audi in this department. However, it's worth noting that this engine has more horsepower than its IS predecessor baby V6. That being said, the old entry-level engine gives you better acceleration off the line. If you can spare the cash, it may be better to step up to the RC350. Other than that, you can't go wrong with the RC200t.
