2017 Land rover Range rover problems
The Land Rover Range Rover, generally shortened to Range Rover, is a 4x4 luxury SUV produced by Land Rover, a marque and sub-brand of Jaguar Land Rover. The Range Rover line was launched in 1970 by British Leyland and is now in its fifth generation.
Additional models have been launched under the Range Rover name, including the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque, and Range Rover Velar.
History
The Rover Company (originator of the Land Rover marque) was experimenting with a larger model than the Land Rover Series in 1951, when the Rover P4-based two-wheel-drive "Road Rover" project was developed by Gordon Bashford. This was shelved in 1958 and the idea lay dormant until 1966, when engineers Spen King and Bashford set to work on a new model.
The first Range Rover prototype was built in 1967 with plate number SYE 157F. The design of the Range Rover was finalised in 1969. Twenty-six Velar-badged engineering development vehicles were built between 1969 and 1970 and were road registered with the number plates YVB151H through to YVB177H.
Though being chassis no. 3, YVB 153H is believed to have been the first off the production line as a vehicle in that colour was urgently required for marketing. (The Range Rover with chassis no. 1 was a green model with the registration "YVB 151H", and is now on exhibition at Huddersfield Land Rover Centre, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire). The Velar name was derived from the Italian "velare" meaning to veil or to cover. Range Rover development engineer Geof Miller used the name as a decoy for registering pre-production Range Rovers. The Velar company was registered in London and produced 40 pre-production vehicles that were built between 1967 and 1970.
The Range Rover was launched in 1970. In the early 1970s, the Musée du Louvre in Paris exhibited a Range Rover as an "exemplary work of industrial design".
In 1971, ex-Cream drummer Ginger Baker used the unproven Range Rover to drive from Algeria to Lagos, Nigeria, to set up a recording studio and jam with Fela Kuti. Predating the Paris-Dakar rally the subsequent documentary is replete with such terrain, documenting the vehicle's endurance.
In 1972, the British Trans-Americas Expedition became the first vehicle-based expedition to traverse the Americas from north to south, including traversing the roadless Darién Gap. The specially modified Range Rovers used for this expedition are now on display in the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust collection at Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Range Rover sub-brands have been launched. In 2004, Land Rover debuted the Range Rover Sport, based on the Land Rover Discovery platform. Later models received the latest Range Rover platform. In 2011 came the Range Rover Evoque, and in 2017 the Range Rover Velar (re-using the name of the very first, pre-production Range Rovers).

Common 2017 Land rover Range rover problems
The Land Rover Range Rover 2017 is known for its prestige and capability, but it also faces reliability challenges. Some of the most common problems include electrical malfunctions, engine issues, and suspension problems.
Electrical malfunctions are a significant concern for Range Rover owners, with non-engine electrical systems being the most problematic area. These issues can lead to warning lights, transmission fluid leaks, erratic shifts, and trouble accelerating in some gears. In some cases, these problems can even result in increased fuel consumption or overloading of the engine, potentially causing a crash.
Engine issues are another common problem for Range Rover owners. These can include overheating from radiator failures, timing chain woes, and transmission problems. These issues can affect all models, and while they may not lead to a failure to stop, they can result in screeching and locking, which can be concerning for drivers.
Suspension problems are also prevalent in Range Rovers, particularly in the advanced air suspension systems. Regular checkups on your influential fluids are recommended for any Range Rover owner to prevent premature overheating from radiator failures and timing chain woes.
Steering problems are another common issue, typically caused by corroded bolts on the power steering motor. This can lead to power loss, affecting both diesel and gasoline models. While this is a common problem, it mostly applies to early models. The fit and finish can vary from one vehicle to another, and a problem all luxury brands face is swift depreciation, which is also true for the Range Rover.

My wife loves her Range Rover. The ride and features of the car are outstanding, and the heated seats and steering wheel are the best. While the reliability has been average, we were disappointed to find out that the certified warranty did not cover the replacement of an engine valve (pvc).

Although the Range Supercharged is certainly pricey, it delivers on all fronts! It is an absolute treat to drive, with over-the-top elegance and comfort coupled with over 500 HP. The cargo area is fine, even on weekend trips or vacations with the kids, and certainly fine for normal everyday use. We couldn't be happier with the RR!

I couldn't resist buying another 5.0 V8! I got a 2010 Sport at home, which has the same engine as the 2015 model minus the supercharger. The 2010 model has 186k miles on it, but it has had no problems other than the air conditioning and fuel pump. As for the 2015 model, it's been stellar! The only issue I've had is with the push start button. I bought it with 117k miles almost a year ago, and now it has 127k miles. I'm simply in love!

This car is absolutely spectacular! It's a unique and beautiful limited edition with just one owner and only 9600 miles on the clock.

If you're in the market for a reliable car, it's important to consider all your options. While Land Rovers may look good at the dealership, they have a reputation for being unreliable. As a proud owner of a 2016 CPO Range Rover with 36k miles, I can attest to the numerous problems I've experienced. However, after several trips to the dealership and calls to Land Rover USA, the issue has finally been resolved. If you do decide to purchase a Land Rover, it's highly recommended to invest in an extended warranty. Alternatively, you may want to consider a Lexus or Toyota for a more dependable option.

Thanks for updating your review. It's unfortunate to hear about the issues you've had with your truck, but it's great to know that you have a CPO warranty to cover major issues. It's interesting that the water pump failed and the dealer found a leak in the front crossover coolant pipe. It's understandable that you feel unlucky to have both issues happen at the same time. It's important to note that the warranty doesn't cover hoses or pipes, so it's something to be aware of. It's good to know that the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models have a reliable water pump, but it's unfortunate that it's a common problem. It's great to hear that you've had a positive experience with the comfort and reliability of your RRS. The interior comfort is exceptional, and the front and rear climate control with heated and ventilated seats work great in the South Florida heat. The pano roof is amazing and the truck handles great. The gas mileage from the 3.6ltr V6 is pretty good, averaging in the low 20mpg. The only negative opinion you have is the Navigation System, which can be frustrating at times. Overall, it's great to hear that you've had a positive experience with your RRS and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. You'll be pleased with the results.

There are many reviews online about the Range Rover, and before I owned one, I was excited about it too. However, after owning one, I was disappointed with how it drove, the uncomfortable hard leather, and the lack of space in the trunk area. I also experienced several maintenance problems, and even the smallest mechanical fix cost at least $1k every time. Therefore, I cannot recommend this car, despite how beautiful it looks on the outside and the appeal that comes with owning one.

Range Rover is a car company that has faced some challenges in the past. However, it is important to note that they have a loyal customer base who appreciate the quality of their vehicles. While some may have had negative experiences, it is clear that Range Rover continues to sell their cars successfully. It is important to do thorough research before making a purchase, but it is also important to recognize the value that Range Rover provides to their customers.
