2010 Infiniti M35 problems
The Infiniti M is a line of mid-size luxury (executive) cars from the Infiniti luxury division of Nissan. From 2013 (model year 2014) on it has been marketed as the Infiniti Q70, reflecting the company's new naming scheme.
The first iteration was the M30 Coupé/Convertible, which were rebadged JDM Nissan Leopard. After a long hiatus, the M nameplate was used for Infiniti's mid-luxury sedans (executive cars). First was the short-lived M45 sedan, a rebadged version of the Japanese-spec Nissan Gloria. The next generations, the M35/45 and M37/56/35h/30d, became the flagship of the Infiniti brand and are based on the JDM Nissan Fuga.
First generation (1989–1992)
The Infiniti M30 was a 2-door coupé based on the Japanese market Nissan Leopard (chassis code F31). It was launched in 1989 for the 1990 model year as a luxury coupe alternative to the Infiniti Q45, and was intended to be an alternative to the Lexus SC and Acura Legend coupe for the North American market.
Unlike its competitors that were designed with the American market in mind and were launched as brand-new models, the M30 was based on a somewhat dated platform that was originally designed for the Japanese market; when the Leopard was imported to the United States, few changes were made to the exterior but the interior was revised to better suit American tastes; a leather interior was standard in the M30, and several features in the Leopard such as a center-mounted television screen and a digital instrument cluster weren't available in the M30 as those features were perceived as gimmicks in western car markets.
The M30's angular design aesthetics and on-road performance were viewed as outdated, especially considering a redesigned Acura Legend coupe was launched in 1991. The interior came in for criticism for its outdated ergonomics and lack of room. While the Japanese-market Leopard had received a new dashboard along with the 1988 facelift, economics precluded making a left-hand-drive version of the new dashboard and the M30 was instead fitted with the LHD version of the R31 Skyline's rectilinear dashboard, first presented in 1985.
The M30 made up for these deficiencies in its somewhat lower price; whereas the 1990 Acura Legend coupe started at $27,325 before options and the 1990 BMW 325i started at $24,650 before options, the M30 started at $23,500, and had no factory options, per Infiniti's pricing structure used at the time. Dealerships offered an in-car cellular telephone and in-dash CD player as optional accessories, amongst other items.

I'm really impressed with this car so far! We got a great deal on it since it's from the last model year. In the past, we've owned Mercedes (S, CLK, & E-Class), BMWs, and Audis, but we had to take them to the shop too often. That's why we decided to switch to Japanese cars for their reliability. We would have paid another 5-10K for a similar model from MB or BMW! The interior of the car is just as stunning as the performance. All of the functions, including the navigation, are extremely easy to use. We love the iPod dock in the center console, as well as the ability to use an external flash drive to import music into the car's memory for playback. The fit and finish are outstanding, and we get lots of compliments on the look.

This car is definitely one of the best investments for your money. It has tons of options, and even the basic model is outstandingly nice. The appearance of the M35 also contributes to the brilliant design of this sedan.

I just bought the M35 and I absolutely love it! While I understand that looks are subjective, I personally adore the appearance of this car. I've had the opportunity to look at and test drive all models in this class, including the Audi A6, BMW528, GS350, Jag XF, Acura RL, E350, and even the Hyundai Genesis. Each of them has their own strengths and weaknesses, but I believe that the M35 offers much more car for the money! The interior is spacious and great, while the exterior is sleek and stylish. Infiniti has truly thought of everything with this car, with perhaps one or two exceptions. The gas mileage is also not bad, with a 7-speed transmission, 303 HP, and a 20-gallon gas tank. So far, I've been getting 19.2 MPG combined for this level of luxury, technology, and comfort.

Nissan/Infiniti really built one of the best cars out there. I recently drove my car from South Florida to Las Vegas and gained so much respect for it. I haven't had a single problem with my car, just routine maintenance and oil changes. Premium petrol and synthetic oil are a must and are par for the course when purchasing a foreign luxury automobile. Compared to the Infiniti M35, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac, Lexus, and Acura just don't measure up.

Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with the M35S. This is actually my second one, as I also had a 2006 model. I have to say, the ride in the 2009 is a little stiffer, but it's still really comfortable for a car with 19

As a loyal Lexus customer for over a decade, I was excited to explore other options and came across the M35X. The dealership heavily promoted its technology, leading us to believe it would be on par, if not better than Lexus. However, our experience has been quite the opposite. Despite having 38 months left on our lease, we have been disappointed with the car's performance. Unlike my previous Lexus GS, my phone, the Palm Pre, does not pair well with the Bluetooth and the Bose radio frequently cuts out during calls. Additionally, the navigation system has been a letdown with a lack of points of interest and frequent misdirections. Despite having the system replaced by the dealer, the issues persist. At a price point of $53,000, we expected more from Infiniti.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my new 2010 M 35, which is unfortunately not meeting my expectations. As a loyal Nissan/Infinity customer since 1996, I was disappointed to experience low speed and high speed rpm increases while downshifting. This has caused some additional wear and tear on the drive train, which is concerning. Additionally, I've noticed excess wear and tear on the brakes at low speeds, which is also a safety hazard. While Nissan/Infinity claims this is within the normal operating range, I believe this is a significant and widespread issue, as confirmed by their own service people and engineers. I'm hopeful that Infinity will address this soon to avoid a situation similar to Toyota's. Thank you for listening to my experience.

The luxury sedan has some areas that could be improved. At highway speeds, there is wind and road noise that may be unacceptable to some. The console stack controls are fussy and confusing, which can divert the driver's attention from the road. The software controlling the comfort, audio, and navigation features is unintuitive and clumsy. The navigation system can be irritating, and changing the destination is only possible by voice command when the car is moving, which may be difficult for some. The baseline audio system is weaker compared to Lexus and BMW. The console is placed for access by a contortionist, and the Bluetooth software couldn't read my cell phone book. Additionally, there is no routine maintenance service plan included, which may seem like a cheap touch for a luxury car. Lastly, the seatbelt retractors don't release when leaning forward. Despite these issues, the luxury sedan still has many great features to offer.

The 2010 M35 has serious breaking and down shifting problems that must be addressed by Infiniti. Even service reps have reported problems with the 7-speed transmission. Despite its great looks and superb highway driving, the car's bucking-bronco behavior when braking and decelerating is unacceptable.

I've visited the shop 6 times to fix 4 rattles and 4 times regarding NAV failure, but unfortunately, I still haven't had any success. As a result, I've had to rely on my iPhone for dependable navigation. I'm quite disappointed with my Infiniti product and I'm not sure if I would consider buying another one.
