From 1965 to 1973, the Mustang was derived from the 1960 Ford Falcon compact. From 1974 until 1978, the Mustang (denoted Mustang II) was a longer-wheelbase version of the Ford Pinto. From 1979 until 2004, the Mustang shared its Fox platform chassis with 14 other Ford vehicles (becoming the final one to use the Fox architecture). Since 2005, Ford has produced two generations of the Mustang, each using a distinct platform unique to the model line.

MY BOYFRIEND INSPECTED THE TIRE USING SOAPY WATER AND REALIZED THE AIR WAS ESCAPING FROM THE RIM WALL (STR P245/40 R20) AND NOT THE TIRE ITSELF. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION WE REALIZED MANY STRESS FACTURES ON THE RIM ON ALL FOUR TIRES NOT JUST THE ONE THAT LOST ALL THE AIR ORIGINALLY. I REPLACED MY TIRES PIRELLI ALL SEASON PLUS AND SCORPION VERDE TIRES WITH MY STOCK TIRES. I RESEARCHED THE TIRES FOR A RECALL AND NOTICED A RECALL ON OTHER TIRES THAT WERE THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL JUST DIFFERENT SIZES HAD THE SAME ISSUE, A FAILED RIM WALL CAUSING IT TO BREAK OFF CAUSING ACCIDENTS, THAT MY AFTERMARKET TIRES WERE HAVING. MY TIRES ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE AS THE RECALLED PIRELLIS SO THEREFORE I HAVE NOT BEEN USING MY TIRES FOR FEAR THE OTHER 3 TIRES WILL ALSO WORSEN AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. IT NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. SOMETHING IS CLEARLY DEFECTIVE OR LICENSED TECHNICIANS WOULD REPAIR THEM AND WOULDNT CARE TO OFFER A WARRANTY. MY VEHICLE HAS HAD TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS OFF AND ON SINCE 2017. I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AGAIN AND TRIED TO TURN THE WHEEL BUT I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE CAR AT THIS POINT. IT CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AND I MISSED THE CORNER AND LANDED IN A POND ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAKE IN ABOUT 3 1/2 FEET OF WATER. MY CAR WAS THEN SUBMERGED UP THE TOP OF THE TRUNK IN WATER.

At a price tag of $26K, the Mustang GT is a fun car to drive back and forth to work. It may not be built like the expensive sports cars, but it has the muscle and get-up-and-go you would expect from a classic muscle car. If you're looking for a superior quality sports car at $26K, this may not be the one for you. However, if you're looking for something to have fun with and get your heart rate up as you floor the accelerator, the Mustang GT will definitely do the trick. I personally purchased the California Package and love the extras. Additionally, there are numerous extras available to personalize your Mustang in terms of performance and styling. I absolutely love this car!

I really appreciate this car, but I have to be honest and say that it's not perfect. While the stock exterior looks great, the power is not quite up to my personal standards. However, there are some easy modifications that can be done to improve it. The interior quality could also use some improvement, but overall it's a great car. The handling is fantastic and it definitely lives up to the muscle car reputation. If you're looking to really boost the performance, I would recommend getting an aftermarket intake, exhaust, and custom tune. Without those upgrades, it may not be the easiest car to beat in its class.

I've been the proud owner of an Alloy-colored V6 Mustang coupe for three months now. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this vehicle to most potential buyers. However, it's important to note that it's a two-door non-hatchback, which may not be suitable for those who regularly transport more than one passenger. The car is quick, responsive, quiet, and reliable, and I've had great experiences with the dedicated professional dealer service. While the driver position can be a bit cramped, making ingress/egress difficult even for a slender person, it's a minor issue compared to the overall driving experience. Additionally, the blower fan can be a bit noisy at positions 3 and 4, and trunk access is limited due to the narrow lid. The back seats are only suitable for small children, and access can be difficult. However, despite these minor drawbacks, the Mustang is a great looking sporty car at a reasonable price, and it's an absolute blast to drive!

I'm so excited to share that I finally got my hands on a 2007 Mustang GT convertible! I've been patiently waiting for this moment since the new body style was unveiled in 2005. It was definitely worth the wait. As a Mustang enthusiast, I've owned four previous models, so I'm familiar with the traction issues that come with them. However, the GT feels much more stable and connected to the road. The car has a great low-end sound that's not too loud, allowing me to enjoy the stereo and have conversations with my passengers. Of course, there's still a bit of a convertible 'rattle', but it's a small price to pay for the joy of driving this amazing car. I'm absolutely in love with it!

The car's interior fit and finish could be improved, and the chrome on the shifter peeled off rather quickly. Additionally, entering and exiting the car can be difficult. The CD player, which was made in Mexico by a low-end vendor, is of poor quality and even got stuck when I first purchased the car. The gas mileage and brake wear are also disappointing. However, it's worth noting that I purchased the car three years ago and paid for it in cash. While I have some regrets, I still believe that I made the best decision I could at the time.

This car was manufactured with an aluminum hood to meet government-mandated mileage standards and reduce weight. Unfortunately, there was a problem in the manufacturing process of all these cars from 2005 to 2014, and possibly beyond. Iron particles contaminated the aluminum during the formation of the hoods, resulting in corrosion, usually on the front lip. Ford won a class action suit by owners, avoiding costly hood replacements. Currently, there is no permanent solution to repair the corrosion. Some owners have opted to replace the hoods with fiberglass ones, but there have been complaints about poor fit and design mismatch. This issue has certainly affected my outlook on these models of Mustangs.

The vehicle is experiencing a high erratic idle at 2500 RPM, low fuel economy of 20 mpg in V6, rough shifting (especially from 2nd to 3rd and sometimes won't go into reverse), bad radio, and many rattles. Despite 7 attempts by the dealer to repair the issue, it remains unresolved. The service provided by Ford has been unsatisfactory, and it is disappointing to see a lack of responsibility taken to address these problems. These issues are concerning, and it is important to address them promptly.

I really liked the appearance of my 2007 Mustang, v6 Premium with Pony Package and Interior upgrade. It was a great looking car. However, I had some issues with the interior as it had some rattles that the dealer couldn't fix. Additionally, the suspension had some serious design flaws which resulted in loud clunks in the undercarriage, making it sound like the bottom was going to fall out on uneven surfaces. The car also had poor traction without the traction control upgrade, which made me feel unsafe driving in the rain. Although I wanted to love it, I had to get rid of it after just 6 months and took a huge hit.

I recently bought this car and sold it after just 4 months. While it had some great features, such as its stylish appearance and enjoyable driving experience, there were also some downsides. The 6-cylinder 4.0 engine was quite loud and unrefined, which made me worry that something might be wrong with it. Finally, while the seats looked nice, they felt like they were made from cheap materials and I'm not sure how well they would hold up over time. One neutral aspect of the car was that it had almost no backseat, but I was aware of this when I purchased it.
