The Ford Mustang Mach-E is a battery electric compact crossover SUV produced by Ford. The vehicle was introduced on November 17, 2019, and went on sale in December 2020 as a 2021 model. The vehicle is in the Mustang series, with model name Mach-E inspired by the Mach 1 variant of the first-generation Mustang. The car won the 2021 North American SUV of the Year Award.
Overview
During development, the Mustang Mach-E was originally teased as the Ford Mach 1, but was retracted after strong public opposition, with Ford CEO Jim Farley describing the name tease as an evaluation.
The Mach-E has buttons that open the doors, and a small door handle protruding from the front doors, instead of door handles. Smartphones, or a keypad built into the B-pillar, can be used as a key.
The interior has a wide dashboard and built-in soundbar; the dash is equipped with a vertically mounted 15.5 in (39 cm) touchscreen infotainment system fitted with a rotary dial. The majority of the car's systems are controlled through the screen, which uses Ford's recent SYNC 4 operating system, updatable wirelessly. There is a 10.2 in (26 cm) digital cluster for the driver, and the steering wheel has several physical buttons.
The Mustang Mach-E uses the Global Electrified 1 (GE1) platform, which is a heavily reworked version of the C2 platform shared with the fourth generation Focus and third generation Kuga/fourth generation Escape. It offers a traditional cargo area at the rear offering a volume of 29 cu ft (821 L), and a 4.8 cu ft (136 L) waterproof trunk under the hood and can be charged by a home AC charger or by DC fast chargers at up to 150 kW.

I've always wanted a Mustang ever since I saw “Goldfinger”. Recently, we unexpectedly needed a new car and decided to go electric. Based on reviews, we bought the Mach E and we absolutely love it! We have the GT in bright blue and people often stop us to ask about the car. The pick up is incredible and really helpful when merging onto the highway. The screen is easy to read and use. There are so many cool features, like the frunk with the drain so you can use it as an ice chest, the “puddle light” with the Mustang logo which appears on the ground when you open the door at night, and the overall styling. My only complaint is the circular shift, which takes a while to get used to. Overall, this is the best car we have ever bought!

I recently received my Mach 1 California route 1 after a 6 month wait. Although I didn't receive frequent updates on the delivery status, the updates I did receive were accurate. I was thrilled with the iced blue metallic color that I ordered. As someone who commutes 80 miles every day, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the mileage far surpassed the rating. Additionally, my 50 amp ChargePoint home charger works great and charges the car to 90% in just a couple of hours. Even in Colorado mountain weather ranging from 20 - 60 degrees, it only costs me $3.00 a day to travel that 80 mile daily distance. The car is super fun to drive and the Blue Oval system works seamlessly along my whole route. Once you learn how to use the system, you can drive without touching the brake or gas pedal and simply hold on to the steering wheel. Keep in mind that I replaced my BMW x-4 (performance package) with the Mach E. Although I don't have the premium stereo, it still sounds more than acceptable. The only downsides are the inability to tow and the Ford Pass App, which can be a bit clunky. However, I've learned to use the app and it's definitely not as slick as the Mach E.

I'm thrilled to share my experience with the Ford F150 Lightning, an excellent EV that has established Ford as one of the front runners in the EV space. Kudos to them! I recently purchased the 2022 Extended Range AWD Premium and have very few complaints. The car is incredibly quick and quiet, and the frunk provides plenty of storage. While Sync 4A can lag at times, the touch screen is generally very responsive. The Ford Pass app is also cool to have, despite being a little clunky, as it provides so much info about your car on your phone. I particularly enjoy starting and locking/unlocking my car with my Apple Watch, and have even created a shortcut from my preferred Watch face for it. The only real downside to this car is the suspension on everything but the GT-Performance trim, which can be a bit stiff and unsettled, and may give you an extra

We purchased our Mach-E in November 2022 and have been thoroughly enjoying it ever since. The car is remarkably comfortable and fun to drive, especially with the Comfort & Technology Package that we ordered (which we highly recommend). We even had a Grizzl-E Classic EV charger installed, although the car's charging parameters are so smart that it's not really necessary. Initially, we considered keeping our ICE vehicle while transitioning to an EV, but we're so glad we decided to trade it in anyway. Overall, we would definitely buy this car again - it's everything we hoped it would be!

I have the Premium AWD with the extended range battery. It was originally ordered as a 2021 model, but ended up being delivered as a 2022 model. However, Ford honored my original order price along with any rebates and financing deals available at the time, including the 2021 CA Clean Air Vehicle rebate! Overall, it's a great car with excellent build quality and features. While most reviews cover the high points, I'll list the low points I've experienced since taking delivery of the car. I also own a Tesla Model 3, so I'll compare some of the features against that. Firstly, the Phone as a Key feature works about 50% of the time when I walk up to the car and push the button to unlock. Sometimes, I have to kill the phone app, start it again, and hold the unlock button in the app to access the vehicle. Now, I give up when it doesn't unlock after the first push and use the door keypad to get in. Tesla's Phone Key is much better and works 100% of the time. Secondly, the Walk Away Lock feature works great and sends a push notification when it locks, so you can be sure that it does. However, the phone app won't give you a status of the lock state of the car like the Tesla app. One annoying thing I wish Ford would implement in a future update is the ability to keep the car unlocked at a location. Sometimes, I keep my windows open in my garage, and when I go to grab something out of the car through the windows, the alarm will sound, and it takes forever to turn it off with the phone app. I know I can turn off motion on the alarm, but I swear it keeps turning itself back on (which is what I've noticed with a few settings I've set). Tesla has this feature where you can set it to not auto-lock when you're at a home location. Lastly, charge settings can only be set once you plug it into the charger and set up a charge location, at least in my experience. This is annoying since I have to plug the car in before I can change the charge limit (like from 60% to 90 or 100%).I really appreciate the fact that you can fine-tune the charge window for peak/off-peak charging. However, I do have a couple of suggestions. Firstly, while the fixed-glass panoramic roof is nice, it could be tinted darker or have a thicker UV coating on it as it heats up the cabin quite a bit compared to the Tesla's glass roof. Secondly, I feel that the connected navigation could be improved to match the quality of Ford's Sync 3 version or even Tesla's proprietary/google version.

I purchased my Mach E three weeks ago. Unfortunately, on the second day, I encountered an issue with the parking brake not releasing and was unable to move the car into gear. A warning message appeared on the screen, advising me to return the car to the dealer immediately for service. After several attempts at turning off the vehicle and restarting it, I was finally able to get the car to respond. My experience with the Walnut Creek Dealer has been frustrating, as they have had my car for a week and are still unable to resolve the issue, even with the help of Ford's engineering team. Ford even suggested checking for loose connections! Additionally, I experienced fast acceleration while using hands-free driving mode and was told that I need to be very attentive. If I had not swerved and hit the brakes, I would have collided with the cars in front of me. At this point, I am considering asking the dealer to take the car back. It is disappointing that only one technician is currently qualified to work on the Mach E, and my car is still in the service bay waiting for advice from Ford.

That car is fast and looks good. The sound system is decent and it has a beautiful glass roof, but it comes at an extra cost of $1500. Unfortunately, the GT with Performance package is currently priced at around $70k, and finding an honest car sales agent is rare. The delivery fee is also higher than usual, ranging from $1100 to $1400, which is non-negotiable. The interior of the car is not up to par, with cheap-feeling steering wheel and unattractive seats. Despite the tax incentive, the monthly payment at 5% interest is still high. The advertised 276 miles of range is only attainable if you drive conservatively. The car is overpriced and not worth more than 57-62k for the GT PERFORMANCE model plus the incentive. While it is a Mustang, paying more just for the emblem is not worth it.The Tesla Model Y is a great car overall. It has a higher range and better quality batteries, giving you more range. Although it may not look as good from the outside 🤷🏻♂️, it's still a fantastic car. I think the MACH E base models should be priced at around 50k and the GT should come with the performance package included at around 58k - 62k, PLUS incentives. It might be worth waiting a few months to see how the interior holds up. The range changes abruptly, but it's still a powerful car. Who needs 500 horsepower anyway? If that's the case, you might as well get an ICE vehicle and wait for battery technology to improve. I'm not a fan of the BMW I4 or the ix4's kidney grills, but that's just my personal preference. Sorry, Mustang enthusiasts, but I think the hype is overrated - don't be fooled.
