The Ford Mustang Mach-E is a battery electric compact crossover SUV produced by Ford. The vehicle was introduced on November 17, 2019, and went on sale in December 2020 as a 2021 model. The vehicle is in the Mustang series, with model name Mach-E inspired by the Mach 1 variant of the first-generation Mustang. The car won the 2021 North American SUV of the Year Award.
Overview
During development, the Mustang Mach-E was originally teased as the Ford Mach 1, but was retracted after strong public opposition, with Ford CEO Jim Farley describing the name tease as an evaluation.
The Mach-E has buttons that open the doors, and a small door handle protruding from the front doors, instead of door handles. Smartphones, or a keypad built into the B-pillar, can be used as a key.
The interior has a wide dashboard and built-in soundbar; the dash is equipped with a vertically mounted 15.5 in (39 cm) touchscreen infotainment system fitted with a rotary dial. The majority of the car's systems are controlled through the screen, which uses Ford's recent SYNC 4 operating system, updatable wirelessly. There is a 10.2 in (26 cm) digital cluster for the driver, and the steering wheel has several physical buttons.
The Mustang Mach-E uses the Global Electrified 1 (GE1) platform, which is a heavily reworked version of the C2 platform shared with the fourth generation Focus and third generation Kuga/fourth generation Escape. It offers a traditional cargo area at the rear offering a volume of 29 cu ft (821 L), and a 4.8 cu ft (136 L) waterproof trunk under the hood and can be charged by a home AC charger or by DC fast chargers at up to 150 kW.

As a previous owner of multiple Mustangs, I am still not comfortable calling my Mach E-GT a Mustang, even though it has some long lost homage to the Mustang Muscle. However, I must say that this car is a game changer. I love its outside aesthetic and the fact that it is a future-oriented EV crossover. I am impressed with its finish and the solidness of the vehicle. The interior was better than I imagined, especially given some of the knocks on it in online reviews. It is balanced forward with all you would expect of an EV, but it also retains a feel of sportiness lacking in the EV headliners. The dual suede seats and suede siding are a nice touch. We will see over time how it functions. Bottom line, this is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned, and if early indications hold true, the driving will be the most fun I have ever had!

We chose a Red Mach E premium that was on display in the showroom. This car is stunning and has everything we were looking for. It was the one that convinced us to switch to an electric vehicle. Compared to Teslas, it may be slower and have less range, but it looks light years cooler than any Tesla, hands down. The Audi eTron just didn't feel right, and I'm not exactly sure why. Perhaps it's the interior and the gadgetry, or the uncomfortable seats, or the high price, or the overwhelming amount of features. Whatever it is, I was turned off. As for the VW ID.4, it doesn't seem like it will ever arrive, and the interior looks childish compared to the Mach E. I believe there are other cooler makes and models available now. After driving about 32k miles, we haven't experienced any reliability issues, squeaks, or rattles. However, the suspension is very harsh, and rear passengers may feel sick even on short drives. I wish it was made softer and more luxurious, or had air suspension. Nonetheless, the Mach E is the way to go!

Hey there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2021 Mustang Mach E. I have the Premium Long Range AWD version and I absolutely love driving it! The acceleration is incredible and it's so much fun to charge down the highway and pass all the other cars. The car is also really quiet and has artificial engine sounds, although I personally don't use them. One of my favourite features is that my phone is my key! The only thing I would say is that range anxiety is real, so I always make sure to plan my charging stops for any drive beyond 270 miles. For my daily commute of 40 miles, I only need to charge it about twice a week. I've also taken it on a few longer trips and used fast charging in the middle of my travels, which was a bit awkward at first but I got the hang of it. The MME is such an awesome car that everyone wants to look at it! I have had a few recalls, but other than that, I haven't had any major issues with the car. The technology is amazing, especially the Blue Cruise feature, although it works best when there's little traffic. The recent over-the-air updates have also improved the screen interface, which is great. Overall, I still love this car, although for serious travel, I do use my wife's ICE SUV. Thanks for listening!

We've been wanting an electric vehicle for years and were immediately drawn to the Mach E when we first heard about it in November 2019. We reserved our First Edition on the first day it was available and were thrilled to be the first delivery in our area just a month ago. The Mach E is not only stylish, but the interior finishes are top-notch. The seats are incredibly comfortable and there's plenty of room in the back seat, even for taller passengers like myself. While we had a bit of a learning curve with all the electronics, we were able to figure it out fairly quickly. The car handles very well and we've had no issues with range on our shorter trips. We were even flattered when a Lexus driver stopped to take a picture of our Rapid Red Mach E! We've now had our Mach E for 18 months and have taken trips of about 300 miles. By planning ahead, we were able to fast charge after 200-250 miles. We've experienced a range of over 300 miles, depending on speed (280 miles at 70-75 MPH, 300-310 miles at 65 mph). The handling on back roads is superior and highway driving is incredibly comfortable. In fact, the ride has been better than any ICE vehicle we've owned, including luxury vehicles. The only issue we've had is with the phone as a key, but after updates from Ford, it's now working well. Overall, we would definitely purchase the Mach E again.

I recently visited my local Ford dealer to check out the Mach E after my wife's 335i had seen better days. As an owner of a Porsche Macan S and a 2013 BMW X3, I was curious to see how the Mach E would compare. To my surprise, the premium model with a 230 mile battery and 2WD was available after the original buyer changed their mind. After taking it for a spin, I was impressed with how planted and competent it felt, similar to the Macan. The speed was just as fast as my Macan and X3, and the driving experience was effortless. While the steering was a bit lighter and numb compared to the Macan, it wasn't distracting. The technology was top-notch and easy to use, making it a breeze to navigate. The interior was a clear winner compared to my other cars, and the sound system (as a picky audiophile) was exceptional. The fit and finish of all three cars were competent and well done. I've driven a Tesla before, and while it's a nice car, I wasn't a fan of the interior and looks. If the Mach E proves to be as reliable as my Porsche or BMW, Ford will be the new leader in electric vehicles. At $48,900 before rebates and roughly $40k after, it's hard to beat the luxury ride, look, and Porsche acceleration. I highly recommend taking it for a test drive!

Great riding and more than sufficiently quick. It handles well too. The motor sounds just right, giving you a little sense of acceleration, but still nice and quiet. It feels like a normal car, except for the center screen which may take some getting used to. The sunroof is unnecessary as it lets in heat, but very little light. I would suggest adding some normal buttons for easier control access. However, be careful with the center screen as it may get caught on someone's clothing someday and require a costly repair.

I noticed that the range of 270 miles was not displayed when we bought the car on 11/29/2021. While some may find this acceptable, I personally disagree. As an experienced EV owner, I would not have purchased this car if I had known about this issue. Additionally, I found the array of buttons that control basic functions to be confusing, despite being a member of Mensa for over thirty years. The intuitive engineering of this car deserves an F minus. I have never owned a Ford before, and if my IONIQ 5 or ID.4, which I ordered many months ago, had a chance of being delivered, I would not have purchased this car.

Have you tried giving them a call? They might be able to help you resolve any issues you're having with starting your car. It sounds frustrating to have to keep providing your information and not getting a solution. It's also inconvenient to only have one key, especially if the phone key doesn't work reliably. It's understandable that you're feeling regretful about your purchase, especially when compared to Tesla's superior customer service. Hopefully, the customer service team can help improve your experience.

You may experience some discomfort due to the vehicle's tendency to sway on even roads and the sudden stops caused by the brakes. Unfortunately, connecting to Apple Car Play can be challenging and some features are locked into the large screen. Additionally, the artificial Engine Sounds may not be to everyone's taste. While Ford's current model has some shortcomings, it is a promising start. We hope to see improvements in the future.
