BOTH THE DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER WERE WEARING THEIR SEAT BELTS AND TRAVELING 50-55 MPH. AFTER BEING IMPACTED FROM THE REAR, THE VEHICLE SPUN 360 DEGREES. AFTER THE SPIN, THE VAN WAS IMPACTED DIRECTLY HEAD ON, IN THE FRONT, ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, BY A 4 DOOR SEDAN. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT BELTS FAILED TO LOCK THE OCCUPANTS TO THEIR SEATS. THIS SAFETY EQUIPMENT FAILURE ALLOWED SIGNIFICANT BODY MOVEMENTS OF BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER. IT CAUSED ABRUPT FORWARD AND BACKWARD MOTION OF THEIR HEADS, NECKS, BACKS, ARMS, LEGS AND TORSOS, RESULTING IN SIGNIFICANT PHYSICAL INJURY AND EMOTIONAL TRAUMA. THE DRIVER ACCOMPANIED THE FRONT PASSENGER TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. PHYSICAL EXAMINATION AND X-RAY EVALUATIONS WERE PERFORMED BY A MEDICAL SPECIALIST. THE PASSENGER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH UPPER SPINE, HEAD AND NECK INJURIES WITH SIGNIFICANT MUSCLE PAIN AND SEVERE CONCUSSION. THE DRIVER HAD INJURIES TO HIS SHOULDER, NECK, KNEE, TORSO AND BACK AREAS WITH SIGNIFICANT MUSCLE PAIN. SUMMARY, HAD THE SEAT BELTS FUNCTIONED, AS WAS ADVERTISED AND DESIGNED BY THIS MANUFACTURER, BOTH PASSENGERS WOULD NOT HAVE SUSTAINED SUCH SEVERE PHYSICAL INJURIES, AND HAD THE AIR BAGS FUNCTIONED AND DEPLOYED, AS ADVERTISED AND DESIGNED, BY THE MANUFACTURER, THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN INJURED IN THIS IMPACT-COLLISION. HISTORY, THE DODGE GRAND CARAVAN OF PAST YEARS DESIGN INCLUDING THIS 2007 MODEL YEAR HAVE HAD SIMILAR AND REPEATED REPORTS OF SEAT BELT AND AIR BAG FAILURE. CONCLUSION, THIS MANUFACTURER KNEW OR SHOULD HAVE KNOWN OF THESE SAFETY DEFEATS, FROM PAST SETTLEMENT LITIGATION. THIS MANUFACTURER ALLEGEDLY HAS FAILED OR REFUSED TO CORRECT THESE ALLEGED INJURY CAUSING VEHICLE SEAT BELT AND AIR BAG DEFECTS.

RAMP VANS ARE SOLD THROUGH LOCAL DEALERS WHO PROVIDE BOTH WARRANTY AND NON WARRANTY SERVICE FOR THE CONVERSION ELEMENTS OF THE RAMP VANS. LOCAL DODGE DEALERS PROVIDE NON-CONVERSION WARRANTY AND NON-WARRANTY SERVICE. IT IS NOT UNUSUAL FOR EACH TO POINT THE FINGER AT THE OTHER CONCERNING ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL PROBLEMS. IT HAS BEEN TAKEN TO BOTH VISION DODGE (920 PANORAMA TRAIL SOUTH, ROCHESTER, NY 14625, (585) 385-5700, AND AUTOCRAFTING 72 HINCHEY ROAD, ROCHESTER, NY 14624 ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS FOR REPAIRS TO THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. AUTOCRAFTING REPORTED THAT VMI WAS INVOLVED IN TROUBLESHOOTING THE PROBLEM. BETWEEN VISION DODGE AND AUTOCRAFTING THERE HAVE BEEN 3 OR 4 ATTEMPTS TO FIX THE AIRBAG PROBLEM TO NO AVAIL. VISION DODGE CHARGED ME SUBSTANTIAL COSTS FOR REPAIRS THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. NEITHER DODGE NOR VMI HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE AIR BAG FAILURE AND THE INABILITY OF DODGE AND VMI TO FIX IT INDICATES A MAJOR DESIGN FAILURE IN AN ESSENTIAL AND LEGALLY REQUIRED SAFETY SYSTEM. I really love my van, although I wish the mpg was better. The stow and go feature is great, but it can be a bit tricky to use if the seats aren't all the way forward. The vibrating around 30 to 35 bothers me, and unfortunately, I haven't been able to get it fixed yet. However, I'm determined to keep after them until it's resolved. I wasn't a fan of how the muffler side pipe shows, so I added custom running boards to hide them, and now it looks great. I'm really impressed with the power - it accelerates great. The only thing I wish it had was a built-in antenna. I did have some trouble in a car wash and had to replace my antenna already, but I've only had it for two months.

I'm really impressed with my Dodge number 4! The power is so smooth and it handles curves with ease. I haven't had any problems with steering, which is great. The mileage is a little low at 22, but I've only driven 670 miles so far. I'm confident it will improve and give me the 24 mpg that other Dodge vans have. The build quality has definitely improved and I can't say enough good things about the stow and go feature. It's amazing that I can even fit a full 4x8 sheet of plywood inside with the hatch closed! I can also haul 10/12 bales of hay with ease. Cruising on the interstate is an absolute joy with the 3.8 engine and auto transmission.

This is such an exceptional car! You won't believe how much more room it has compared to our old Durango. It's also much easier to get in and out of, especially to the 3rd row. And let me tell you, the DVD system is a lifesaver for parents with young kids. It's definitely worth the price. The stow and go feature is also a great addition. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the storage area is. Although the fuel economy is a bit disappointing at the moment, I'm sure it will improve after it's broken in. Overall, the van is incredibly comfortable to drive and all of the controls are laid out in a very logical manner. My only regret is not buying it sooner!

We were really impressed by the room in our Dodge Caravan after trading in our SUV. The 'Stow and Go' feature is incredible, allowing the vehicle to transform from a family van to a cargo van in the blink of an eye. Although my wife is bothered by some road noise, it doesn't bother me. The stock stereo is pretty good for our needs and the radio controls on the steering wheel are a nice touch. Additionally, the seats are very comfortable. We are thrilled with our choice of the Grand Caravan SXT, especially since our family is growing and we love taking road trips.

After testing out all sorts of other vehicles, we found that this one was a lot more fun to drive than the Sienna. Although it's slightly slower in acceleration, it handles turns much better and feels more connected and in control. We were originally considering a crossover, but this vehicle had better mileage, more space, and better features. Additionally, it has better, more nimble cornering than most. Overall, we highly recommend this vehicle!

With less than 70k on it, I have unfortunately had to replace the auto sliding doors three times and the transmission twice. It has not been the most reliable van. If you have the AC on, it does tend to use up more gas. Perhaps consider investing a bit more and purchasing a Honda instead.

We purchased the van used with 24k miles on it and have since put 41k miles on it. My wife and I absolutely love the stow and go seating, which provides the versatility of a pick-up in a van. We recently completed a 1,200 mile trip with no issues. The van gets 16 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. While we have had to take the van in for a few warranty issues, including replacing the torque converter, flashing the transmission with new software, replacing the brakes and tires at 30k miles, and addressing a clunking front suspension and both power doors failing to open, we still enjoy the van. We hope that it will become more reliable over time, but we understand that this can be a challenge with American cars.

I purchased this van for my family's space needs. Although I am satisfied with the space, I was disappointed with several features, or lack thereof. The van stutters and jumps when traveling at slow speeds, such as in a parking lot. The climate control is not up to par, as there is no way to switch between heat and air. Instead, you must adjust the temperature up and down one degree at a time in three different places. Additionally, there is no way to turn on just the fan, and cool temperature means air conditioning. I paid over $500 for remote start, but I was not informed that it shuts off in 10 minutes. What is the point of that? The console did not close or lock, and it has not been fixed even after 9 weeks. The mileage is only 15-16 mpg, whether in town or on the highway. The only thing I like about this van is the space. I will not be purchasing a Dodge van again.

We have experienced some issues with the car since we drove 500 miles. Unfortunately, there have been problems with the transmission and engine. We initially purchased the car due to its affordable price and 7 seats, but we have found that it is not possible to fit 3 car seats in the back row. We have since resolved the issue through the lemon law, which we are grateful for. During the time we owned the car, it required frequent repairs and was in the shop for at least 2 days every month, and sometimes up to 5 to 7 days while new parts were installed. Although we encountered some challenges, we appreciate the efforts of the service team. We would advise against purchasing this car to avoid any potential safety risks. Interestingly, a friend of mine also had a similar experience with an 08 model and had to use the lemon law. It is unfortunate that this car did not meet our expectations, as it would have been convenient to transport all the kids in one car.
