- Summary: The ignition switch is faulty and extremely dangerous. The module that is defective is called the WIN module or Wireless Ignition Node module. Over 1 million dodge and Chrysler cars between 2008 and 2010 were recalled for this issue but when I called the local dealer for my 2010, they claim my car does not have the issue. I had the same exact issue with my 2008 and it also was claimed not to be covered which cost me over $600 to repair. What is the issue? Well, the car will spontaneously turn off while driving and or go into the accessory mode. This is extremely problematic because it is happening at random and is unexpected. In addition, the key then requires the driver to force it into the hole using extreme pressure to get it re-started. I feel that not enough of these were recalled as I have the exact problem (twice now on both my Vans) as described in R03 / NHTSA 14V-373. Since I keep my cars longer than most, this it seems entirely possible that the issue shows up later as the car ages. Incident can be re-produced at will with slight manipulation and happens at least once per week without trying to force the issue.

Though our Grand Caravan is not covered, our WIN module has failed in the same manner as those covered in the recall. The van and WIN module was inspected and diagnosed by our local Chrysler, Dodge dealership. Keys have been loose in the WIN module and indicator lights related to the failure of the WIN module come on intermittently due to the electrical issue caused by the failed WIN module.

- Summary: Interior panel lights will dim and flicker, headlights dim, radio will lose power, cabin fans for air conditioning will slow then the engine dies. This can happen while idling or driving at highway speeds without warning. When the engine dies all power steering is lost and braking and control is extremely difficult. After stopping the gear shift will not move into park and the key will not move to the off position for several minutes. Diagnosis narrowed this down to the TIPM. It was replaced and the issue stopped for 6 months then reoccurred. TIPM replacement again fixed the issue. Obviously the TIPM's have a defect and has been widely reported. Major issue is that only remanufactured TIPMS are available from the same defective build. Dealer charges over $1000 for the part and more to install it. There should be a class action lawsuit on this obvious dangerous defect that has not been addressed by Dodge.

These vehicles may have a loose or missing brand emblem in the center of the steering wheel. The loose emblem or the securing nuts for the emblem within the driver air bag module may become projectiles in the event of a driver air bag deployment.
- Consequence: Projectiles as a result of driver air bag deployment in the event of a crash can increase the risk of injury.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's air bag cover with a redesigned cover, free of charge. The recall began February 11, 2021. Owners may contact FCA US LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W09.

We've only had our 2010 Dodge Caravan for a week and we absolutely love it! It's beautiful, comfortable, and we're confident in its reliability because this is the 5th Chrysler minivan we've owned. We looked around to see if there was anything we liked better, but we ended up coming right back to the Dodge Caravan. Nothing else even came close, especially for the price.

This is my first mini-van and I am pleasantly surprised at how nice it drives and rides. Getting my two small children in and out is a whole lot easier than with the Jeep that I just got rid of. The stow and go seats are wonderful! It's like having a mini-van and a pick up all in one. Not to mention, there are 8 cup holders in the front seats alone. As I've only owned the vehicle for a week, I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. However, the defroster leaves a little to be desired and I have a hard time keeping the windows clear.

Our minivan has been a reliable vehicle for 9 years now, with only minor electrical key fob issues. Although my husband had to disable the remote start due to some quirks, such as the car running or the tailgate and power doors being wide open, it has been a comfortable and dependable ride. The entertainment system has been a hit with the kids, and the storage space is unbeatable. I even use the stow and go area to hide Christmas presents, and my kids still believe in Santa Claus at 13 years old! I absolutely love the power tailgate and doors. While the front seats lack lumbar support, I purchased a mesh chair support that works wonders. Although there are some hard plastic surfaces and the back-up camera is not up to current technology standards, the car is still a great choice for safety, comfort, and space. It has been a reliable family car for us, and we only decided to get rid of it because of rusted engine parts that were about to give out. With 99,280 miles on it, it still has plenty of road trips left. Overall, the pros of this car outweigh the cons, and I highly recommend it.

Firstly, I'm thrilled with this vehicle! It feels much sturdier than our previous 2007 model. I also love the convenience of the power tailgate and the versatility of the stow and go seating. However, I have noticed that the seat belt on the driver's side seems shorter than the one on my old van. While I can still connect it, it feels tight across my body when I go to the 24 hr banker, etc. The passenger side is fine, but I would prefer not to use an extender (as I have never needed one before) and instead have a longer seat belt!

I bought this car because of our expanding family, but unfortunately, I have had some issues with it. The brakes have been pulsating, and I have had to take it to the shop three times, soon to be four. The rotors on this vehicle have been causing problems both in the front and rear. Although I bought this vehicle for its dependability and safety, it has not been as reliable as I had hoped. Based on my experience, I would not recommend the Dodge Caravan to family or friends if asked.

This is my second Dodge Caravan, and I must say it's a great family van at a great price! However, I have noticed that the air conditioner tends to stop working halfway into the life of the van. Luckily, I live in the snowbelt, so my van doesn't turn into a torture device for the backseat passengers during hot weather. Every summer, I have to have it recharged, but on the plus side, I never worry about someone wanting to steal it!
