WE PULLED AROUND A CORNER AND INTO A PARKING LOT AND FOUND THAT THE PASSENGER TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY WAS ON FIRE WITH FLAMES LAPPING UP THE SIDE OF THE VAN. THE VAN WAS TURNED OFF AND THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED. WE REMOVED THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND FOUND THAT THE INSIDE OF THE ASSEMBLY AND THE WIRING HARNESS WERE DESTROYED. THERE IS ALSO BODY DAMAGE. WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKE LIGHT BULB IN THE PASSENGER SIDE BURNING OUT FREQUENTLY, AND HAD SEEN EVIDENCE OF OVERHEATING AND SOME MELTING IN THE BRAKE LIGHT CONNECTOR SOCKET IN ABOUT 2010. ALTHOUGH THE LIGHTS BURN OUT FREQUENTLY, THE MELTING HAD NOT GOTTEN WORSE SINCE THEN. THE DRIVER'S SIDE TAIL LIGHT HAS NEVER EXHIBITED A PROBLEM LIKE THIS. AT THIS TIME IT IS UNKNOWN IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE OR FAULT IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM BEYOND THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY. A ROUGH ESTIMATE OF OBVIOUS DAMAGES IS APPROXIMATELY $1,000 TO $1,500 WITH REPAINTING.

THE FRONT CRASH SENSORS MAY CRACK UNDER CERTAIN ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AND ALLOW WATER TO ENTER INTO THE SENSOR. THIS CAN CAUSE THE SENSOR TO BECOME INOPERATIVE AND ILLUMINATE THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT. THESE SENSORS WERE ADDED TO ENHANCE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM IN CERTAIN FRONTAL CRASHES.
- Consequence: IF THE FRONT CRASH SENSORS BECOME INOPERATIVE, THE DRIVER IS IMMEDIATELY ALERTED BY ILLUMINATION OF THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT AND THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE PROMPTLY SERVICED. UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS REPAIRED, THE AIRBAGS MAY NOT PROVIDE THE ENHANCED PROTECTION IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.
- Remedy: CHRYSLER WILL REPLACE THE FRONT AIRBAG SENSORS WITH A NEW DESIGN. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY IMPROVEMENT CAMPAIGN WILL BEGIN DURING JUNE 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.

Not only is it just as quick as your previous Honda Odyssey, but it also gets decent mileage and has yet to break down. The seats are even more comfortable and the stow and go feature is truly impressive. With 16000 miles on it, it seems like you've really put it to the test, but with a 7/70 warranty, you can rest assured that you're covered. This van drives much like a car. It has a fluidity in movement with an excellent turn radius. Although we had a plastic piece come off one of the windows and had to replace brakes both front and back, these were minor problems. Overall, we got an amazing deal!

The SXT is exactly the vehicle we needed. With 2 small kids, it has plenty of room and the storage under the floor keeps the car clean. The 3.8 has great pickup and it handles nicely.

I absolutely adored my caravan! It had everything I could possibly need or want in a vehicle. Not only was it surprisingly fuel efficient (I could easily make a 6 hour trip and still have over a quarter of a tank left), but it also boasted great seating, a comfortable and smooth ride, and was both durable and easy to drive. Additionally, it was a breeze to keep clean and maintain, both in terms of cleanliness and mechanics. The only downsides were that I had to replace the brakes more frequently than I would have liked, and the axles needed to be replaced at 100K miles. We also had to replace the radiator at that point, as it had developed a leak and the van was starting to overheat.

We've driven almost 70,000 miles on our SXT and it's been a reliable family vehicle. Although we've had some minor electrical issues, such as the passenger side window not working, they've been infrequent and resolved quickly. The sliding doors can pop off the track if opened too quickly, but this has only happened twice. We typically get around 18 MPG in town and 25 MPG on the highway. We've taken many trips without any issues, and only had to replace the water pump. Although the check engine light has been on for several months, it hasn't affected performance and we plan to have it checked when we can. Overall, we're very happy with our SXT as a great family vehicle.

We purchased a 2005 Grand Caravan during a difficult financial period and paid for it in cash. At the time of purchase, it had 123,000 miles on it, and now it has 189,000 miles. We have had no issues with it, just regular gas and oil changes. Although the design may not be the most stylish, it is excellent for travelling and has plenty of storage space. We previously owned a fully loaded Saturn Relay with 0 miles when we purchased it, but it turned out to be the worst car we ever had. After the warranty expired at 48,000 miles, we let the bank have it, and we were not concerned about our credit score at that point. If the price is right, we would definitely consider purchasing another Grand Caravan.

The left front fog light caught on fire, but I was able to quickly extinguish it with a nearby fire extinguisher. Waiting for the fire department would have resulted in the van being engulfed in flames. Despite the incident, I remain disappointed.

This car has been a real disappointment. Despite having less than 40,000 miles on it, I've had to spend thousands of dollars on repairs. Unfortunately, I've had some bad experiences with repair shops as well. I've had to replace the steering rack (which I got swindled on), the water pump, rotors, and more. It's a shame because this was my first American car after owning many reliable Japanese cars. I really wanted to like Dodge, but this experience has left me feeling disappointed.

This vehicle has been a major disappointment. Despite visiting the Dodge service department 18 times in the past 18 months, the front brake rotors have already been replaced four times. The dealer has been unable to identify the cause of the rapid wear and tear, and has suggested that the brake parts are made softer to reduce noise. The motorized side and rear doors have also been problematic, with all motors having been replaced at least once. Although I purchased the largest extended warranty, I have already had to use it three times in just 4000 miles. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a negative impression of Chrysler products, and I do not plan to purchase another one in the future. While Dodge cars may look great, the poor build quality is a significant issue that needs to be addressed.

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with Chrysler/Dodge vehicles. I've owned 8 of them over the years, and while I've generally been happy with them, I have noticed that the newer models don't seem to be keeping up with the competition. For example, I've had some issues with my 2005 van, including problems with the A/C. I spoke with the dealer in St Charles ILL, and unfortunately, it looks like fixing the issue will be quite expensive. Despite my frustration, I do appreciate the hard work that the dealership puts in to keep these vehicles running smoothly. However, I've decided to switch to a Ford Flex for my next vehicle.
