This seems to be a very common issue amongst these new Chevy engines, after doing research they all seem to stem from the same problem, and that would be the fuel management system that deactivates certain cylinders in the engine to “save on gas”, or better MPG. So their own technology is breaking their engines, I’m certain my car is having this issue now and it’s very, very expensive to fix.

Dealer informed customer that the fuse box was on back order due to a large number of replacements for the same issue occurring.

September 2023. Congratulations on your new 2SS 1LE with the manual 6 speed! It's great to hear that you quickly got back into driving a manual after all these years. The rear view camera on the 2SS sounds like a fantastic feature, making it a breeze to see out the back. And those recaro seats are so comfortable! It's understandable that the computer forcing you to go from 1st gear to 4th can be annoying at times, but overall it sounds like you're enjoying your new ride.

I used to avoid Camaros because of their limited view, but after test driving a ZL1, any concerns I had about negative attributes disappeared. This machine is so impressive that it astounds me, and I say that as a 911 Turbo owner. The LT4 is a marvel of engineering, with 650 foot pounds of torque from 2500 to 5000 rpm. The powerband covers the entire rev range, and despite the immense power, the car is not all over the road thanks to the perfected software and Stabilitrac. GM really got it right when many other brands didn't, and the car is smart, with seamlessly integrated electronics that are necessary because of the potent power plant. The engine sounds menacing as it howls in a deep, throaty baritone as you accelerate, then snarls and growls as you let up. Yet, amazingly, the cabin never drones or transmits an obnoxious level of decibels. You hear the engine for sure, especially on start up, but while driving, road noise and drone are filtered out, leaving only the sensational engine sound. The cabin is a wonderful place to be and really grows on you the more time you spend in the car. The seats are fantastic, and so are all the controls. Instead of cursing the visibility, you feel like you're in the Batmobile and appreciate the bad-ass look of the proportions and lines of the ZL1. You definitely get used to it, and it's easy to get in and out of. Despite some use of plastic, the interior has a quality feel, with no rattles and doors that have a good weight to them when you close them, unlike the flimsy feel of Mustang doors or the heavier doors of the Challenger. The sound system, along with the infotainment, is excellent, with all the creature comforts, wireless phone charging, heads-up display, ambient lighting, and all the neat stuff that reinforces the experience of piloting a hot modern machine.The handling, steering, and chassis dynamics are so good that I regret not buying one years ago. The body feels incredibly rigid, giving a sense of solidity. The car never seems to shift or flex under any condition or load, and it stays planted on the road during turns at high speeds when it seems like it should lose control. The turn-in feel is amazing, and the suspension is just right for this car's purpose of hauling ass. Braking is also great, with a smooth and linear feel. The A10 transmission is a dream to drive, with three great modes. Put it in sport mode on surface streets and track for anything resembling a highway, and you'll have instant shove in the back during part-throttle acceleration. Full throttle in any mode will, of course, unleash the beast. I disagree with the Edmunds review on value and the controls being difficult. This car could be cross-shopped with anything from Europe on a performance and tech basis. It rivals or surpasses cars with much higher price tags, so how could it not be a 10 out of 10 in value? The ZL1 Camaro is a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive V8 that has been optimized, refined, and perfected to a standard that is above any other car in that category that I have experienced. However, it's not perfect. Taming 650 ft/lbs of torque is not an easy task. It doesn't launch as fast as some others, and if the outside temperature is below 60 degrees Fahrenheit, the traction suffers. Full-blast straight-line acceleration is not always perfectly straight. I haven't driven it in the rain, so I can't speak to that. The car is addictive, and I just want to keep driving even when I've arrived at my destination. It has a presence, swagger, and attitude that gives the owner a good feeling. It's a thrill to drive, and I give it 5 stars. Unfortunately, the future existence of such a great car and cars like it is unlikely due to the Feds.
