1990 Chevrolet Camaro problems

chevrolet logo

The Chevrolet Camaro is a mid-size American automobile manufactured by Chevrolet, classified as a pony car. It first went on sale on September 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year and was designed to compete with the Ford Mustang. The Camaro shared its platform and major components with the Firebird, produced by General Motors' Pontiac division that was also introduced for 1967.

Four distinct generations of the Camaro were developed before production ended in 2002. The nameplate was revived on a concept car that evolved into the fifth-generation Camaro; production started on March 16, 2009.

The Camaro was discontinued at the end of the 2024 model year. Production ended in December 2023. However, Chevrolet has stated, "This is not the end of Camaro's story."

Positive 1990 Chevrolet Camaro car reviews

  2. Maurice Hane 2024-08-02

I've had my beloved car for almost 7 years now. It was a gift from my dad on my 50th birthday back in 2014. The car has been through a lot with me, having travelled over 250,000 miles on the body and frame, and about 90,000 miles on the motor. It's a 305 v8 with automatic transmission, t-tops that don't leak, front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes. This car has been my dream come true ever since Chevy first released it. It's a real 'BEAST' that holds up really well. The only minor issues I have with it are that there isn't any place to put your coffee or drink, and if you 'slam' the hatchback closed, you might end up breaking the housing and gears on the pull-down motor, which are made of plastic.

  3. Alvis Metz 2024-07-01

This is definitely the most enjoyable car I've ever had. It has a powerful 350 5.7 Liter engine that delivers around 250hp. It's everything you could ask for. The gas mileage isn't the best, with only about 250 on the highway and about 200 in the city, but that's a small price to pay for such a great car. It's fully loaded, and I would buy another one without hesitation!

  4. Dion Kessler 2024-04-11

The stock car has great handling and power. The interior is well planned and the T-tops add the feel of a convertible without compromising the structural integrity of the vehicle. There are almost infinite possibilities to make aftermarket improvements to the engine and suspension. It is the absolute best car for the money. With the right aftermarket add-ons, this car can run against any foreign or domestic sport ride.

  5. Alec Borer 2024-04-02

I love this car because it's a great buy for someone looking to build a street machine. They're quick, easy to work on, and relatively cheap to purchase and maintain. With very little additions, these cars can run low 12's in the 1/4 mile.
