I RECENTLY NOTICED MY AIR BAG LIGHT SENSOR WAS INTERMITTENTLY TURNING ON AND OFF AND IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT IT INTO EARNHARDT CADILLAC OF SCOTTSDALE FOR FEAR OF A SAFETY ISSUE. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM STEVEN FROM SERVICES WHO EXPLAINED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED BEFORE HE COULD EVEN FURTHER DIAGNOSE THE AIR BAG WIRING ISSUE. HE EXPLAINED THAT THE AIR BAG WOULD MOST LIKELY NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT. HE EXPLAINED THAT THE HARNESS ITSELF WOULD BE $485 AND ONLY ONCE HE REPAIRED THAT WOULD HE BE ABLE TO FURTHER EVALUATE THE AIR BAG ISSUE. I ASKED IF CADILLAC STANDS BEHIND THE REPAIR OF SUCH A SAFETY CONCERN AND HE SAID ONLY UNDER THE WARRANTY AND ALSO STATED THERE WAS NO RECALLS ON THIS CAR MODEL. THIS FLEXING CAN BREAK THE CONNECTIONS IN THE MAT. IF THIS OCCURS, THE SENSOR MAY NOT DETECT THE PRESENCE OF A FRONT SEAT PASSENGER AND WILL DISABLE THE AIR BAG.

- Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V vehicles manufactured October 6, 2003, to March 15, 2007, and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V vehicles manufactured June 23, 2005, to March 15, 2007. In the affected vehicles, the electrical terminals of the fuel pump module may overheat resulting in the melting of the flange material.
- Consequence: If the flange melts, a hole may be created allowing the fuel pump to leak fuel, causing the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. Additionally, leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

As many forum users have pointed out, this car is visually stunning, performs exceptionally well, and offers a smooth ride. Mechanically, it outshines its competitors. However, where the STS falls short is in the luxury features that are expected in a car of this class. Unfortunately, GM has cut corners in this area. For example, the Bluetooth feature is only certified to work with phones older than 2007 and may not be 100% compliant with newer models. Please see the suggested improvements below for more information.

Although I have owned several Cadillacs in the past, this will be my final one. Unfortunately, my current STS has experienced a series of frustrating issues, despite having very few miles on it. Today, it completely shut down and failed to recognize the fobs, open the trunk, or shift out of PARK. While Road Side Assistance was able to send a tow truck to transport the car back to the dealer, the tow driver was unable to shift the car out of PARK. Fortunately, we have a second vehicle at home (a Toyota) and are not stranded. However, if this had occurred while we were out and about, it would have been an extremely aggravating experience. Based on my recent experiences, I cannot recommend purchasing a Cadillac.

This performance sedan runs flawlessly, with the exception of the SRS system. Although it required a $3000 repair, I am confident in the vehicle's overall quality. It would have been appropriate for GM to cover the cost of the repair.

I picked up my 2007 STS with 5K miles about 3 weeks ago. After owning a Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes and BMW, I must say that the STS presented the most value for the car. This was my first American car in over 20 years, and I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in design and quality! I absolutely love the technology and comfort. Great job!

The Car is truly an automotive winner! It outperforms the Mercedes Benz E class, the Infinity M35, and the 535 series BMW in both performance and good looks. Plus, it's full-featured and comes at a much more affordable price point.

This is my second Caddy. I decided to get a four-door car because my family grew. When I got this car from the dealer, it was an eye-catcher and test drove it fine. However, after a couple of weeks, I started to have some issues. The dealer couldn't figure it out, and unfortunately, the warranty on the car wouldn't kick in since they couldn't identify the problem. The noise sounded like a belt going bad, and they changed everything imaginable, but the issue persisted. The brakes are not up to the mark, and electronic pieces such as the steering wheel controls for the radio go out too quickly. Additionally, replacing the headlights requires removing the entire bumper, which is a hassle. The dealer asks for 350.00 in labor only, which is a rip-off. Although I do it myself, I have to take a day out on a weekend to do it, which takes away the rest of the weekend. In my opinion, they need to make a car that is more consumer-friendly for repairs such as maintenance for lighting, and then the dealers need to know how to fix these issues. So far, this is my last Caddy, and I wouldn't buy another. I'm going back to BMW, which is a way better car.

I leased this car almost a year ago because I could get a great lease deal and liked the styling. The engine and transmission are the best features on this car. It rides extremely well and has lots of power! However, there are some areas that could use improvement. The Bluetooth could be better, and we've found that our BMW works much more efficiently. Additionally, the navigation system interface was poorly designed and can be confusing to use. There have been a few minor issues, such as a recall and a loose metal piece in the trunk, as well as a non-working Homelink garage opener and lack of good steering wheel controls. Overall, though, this car is a great value for the price. While a BMW may be a more expensive option, it's important to consider all factors before making a decision.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed leasing this caddy. However, it seems like you've had some issues with the car over the past 3 years, including 4 recalls, a hole in the driver side carpet, worn off knobs on the dash, and a broken gas tank lid spring. Additionally, the outside chrome has come off and the rims are prone to busting up easily. It's understandable that you find the car a bit underpowered and the trunk and back seat too small. Despite these issues, it's great to hear that the car looks great and has a smooth ride. Based on your experience, it seems like this car may not be the best choice for a stick price of $54,000. I leased this car and unfortunately, within the first year, it spent over 30 days in the shop due to various issues such as a recall, rattles in the trunk, a blown speaker, and Homelink failures. Despite these setbacks, I decided to trade it in for a 2008 335i BMW sedan and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The BMW offers so much more value for the money and it's amazing to think that a BMW can be more affordable than a Cadillac. The original list price of the Cadillac was $65,000, and it wholesaled for $25,000 after only 13 months. Overall, I'm thrilled with my new car and the value it provides.
