1999 Chevrolet G35 problems
The Chevrolet Van or Chevy Van (also known as the Chevrolet/GMC G-series vans and GMC Vandura) is a range of vans that was manufactured by General Motors from the 1964 to 1996 model years. Introduced as the successor for the rear-engine Corvair Corvan/Greenbrier, the model line also replaced the panel van configuration of the Chevrolet Suburban. The vehicle was sold both in passenger van and cargo van configurations as well as a cutaway van chassis that served as the basis for a variety of custom applications.
Produced across three generations (1964–66, 1967–70, and 1970–96), the model line was sold under a wide variety of model names under both the Chevrolet and GMC brands. The first two generations were forward control vehicles (with the engine placed between the seats); the third generation adopted a configuration placing the engine forward of the driver. The second and third generations shared powertrain commonality with the C/K pickup truck model line.
After the 1996 model year, GM retired the G-Series vans, replacing them with the GMT600-platform Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana.

Common 1999 Chevrolet G35 problems
The Chevrolet G35, produced in 1999, is a reliable vehicle, but like any car, it can develop problems as it ages. Here are some of the most common issues reported by owners of this car:
- Malfunctioning crankshaft angle sensor or camshaft position sensor: A number of Chevrolet G35 vehicles released from 1999 to 2008 were reported to have a malfunctioning crankshaft angle sensor or camshaft position sensor. This issue can cause a noticeable loss of engine power and serious drivability problems. Nissan, the manufacturer of the Chevrolet G35, issued a recall for some of the affected model years due to a manufacturing error on the crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor, which could cause the engine to stop running abruptly.
- PCM failure symptoms: The powertrain control module (PCM) is a crucial component of the car's computer system, controlling the engine control module (ECM) and the transmission control module (TCM). When the PCM fails, it can affect multiple aspects of the vehicle all at once. Common PCM failure symptoms include a lit Check Engine light, difficulty starting the car, sudden loss of gas mileage, failure of emissions tests, engine stuttering or stalling, erratic or random shifting, and receiving PCM-related error codes.
Replacing faulty accessories or fixing the PCM can resolve most of these issues. It's essential to address these problems promptly to ensure the car's safety and reliability.
