The right-hand-drive Escalade and Escalade ESV are available through third-party conversion specialists without official agreement with Cadillac in Australian, Oceanic, and Japanese markets.
On August 8, 2023, GM unveiled the Escalade IQ, an all-electric version of the Escalade, and the third model in Cadillac's EV line, after the Celestiq, and Lyriq. It is expected to go on sale in late 2024 for the 2025 model year, with a starting price of $130,000.

These inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
- Consequence: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflator with an alternate one, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed on February 25, 2021. Second notification letters will be mailed once the remedy is available. Owner notification letters were mailed to 40 VIN owners on May 11, 2021. A second owner notification letter was mailed to all other owners on January 24, 2022. - Summary: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado HD, Silverado LD, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra LD, Sierra HD, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the ignition lock actuator may bind, making turning the key difficult or causing the ignition to get stuck in the "Start" position.
- Consequence: If stuck in the "Start" position, the ignition may suddenly snap back into the "Accessory" position, causing a loss of engine, steering, and braking power, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. If the vehicle is in a crash, the air bags may not deploy, increasing the risk of occupant injury.
- Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the ignition lock housing, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on February 12, 2015. Cadillac is really on a roll, and the Escalade is no exception. It boasts great looks, lots of luxury features, 403 hp, and an exhaust note that sounds like a muscle car. I never thought I would buy an SUV, but the Escalade sold itself. What surprised me most was the power and exhaust note, which are both quick (for an SUV) and sound great. The handling also really impressed me, as it handles like a much smaller car. The only negatives I could find are the old-school tilt-only steering wheel, the third-row seat (which lacks room and power-folding), and a light in the rear of the car that rattles. However, the GPS in this car is absolutely fantastic and is the highlight of an already great interior. Overall, it's just a fantastic SUV!

I really like my Escalade, but I am thankful it is still under warranty. I have had it in for several small, but annoying reasons. The armrests become loose all the time, which is quite frustrating. I had to get the center caps fixed due to a squeaking issue. Every now and again, the radio/cd player will shut off for no apparent reason, and the door latch became disconnected, so I couldn't open the rear door from the inside. All problems were fixed, but I only had 8000 miles on it when all this happened. The armrest issue seems to be the only problem that hasn't been handled. Other than that, it's a great looking truck with tons of power. I would definitely buy it again!

I'm glad to hear that your Escalade has been reliable for you, even with 250k miles on it! While some parts like door lock actuators and sensors may fail over time, it's great to know that the important components like the motor and transmission are still going strong. Although it may leak oil from various parts, it's good to hear that you change the oil every 5k miles and it only uses about half a quart. It sounds like it's a great family vehicle that is easy to work on and has affordable parts. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I just switched from a fully loaded BMW 745Li...I thought the BMW had it all. But this Cadillac is amazing! I love the handling, the ride, the comfort, and especially the retractable assist steps. It's very nice!

... for something aesthetically pleasing. I purchased a used CPO 2009 Cadillac Escalade with ~53,000 miles at the end of 2014. It was fully loaded and I was so excited to have it. However, as time went on, I started to experience some issues with the car. Thankfully, all repairs were still under warranty, but unfortunately, the warranty is set to expire in a month. I am now seriously considering selling the car to avoid costly repairs. Since I have owned it for almost a year, I have had to get several repairs done, including the heating and ventilation front driver seat repair, front struts replacement, cables to and from battery replacement due to complete electrical system failure while driving, lumbar support driver's seat repair, right driver's side CV boot leak, side cover for moon roof replacement, tire pressure monitoring system constantly going on/off, and now battery draining overnight and auto-up/down on driver side window malfunctioning. The complete electrical failure while driving was the scariest. We experienced a complete electrical system failure while driving twice (i.e. NO POWER STEERING, NO ANTI-LOCK BRAKES, NO INJECTION OF FUEL INTO ENGINE). Thankfully, my wife and I were able to pull the vehicle over before an accident occurred. Cadillac replaced the cables going to and from the car battery which has seemingly remedied the issue. There are tons of forums of this occurring and how the NHTSA has not recalled the car because of this boggles my mind. Overall, this car has been a bit of a headache, and I would not recommend it if you value reliability or quality craftsmanship. Unfortunately, it was my wife's dream car, but it has been in the shop more often than not and she has been unable to showcase its most valuable asset: aesthetics. I cannot imagine the cost that we will incur once the CPO warranty expires. For example, the cost to repair the driver's side heated and ventilated seat was just over $1,000. The Cadillac dealership near us charges $150 just to diagnose an issue. I guess this is what you get for a In comparison, I have owned a 2004 Lexus ES330 with 130,000 miles and have only needed to perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and new tires. I have owned it for 3 years, purchasing it with approximately 90,000 miles. I understand the challenges that Cadillac owners may face, and wish you all the best.

I really liked the appearance of the new Escalade, but unfortunately, it hasn't lived up to my expectations. It seems to have some mechanical issues, which is a shame. Despite its flaws, it's still a great-looking vehicle. However, I've experienced some problems with the transmission, which can be quite jarring at times. Although Cadillac has tried to fix the issue, it still persists. Additionally, the vehicle idles roughly, which is a recent development. Even though I've been using premium fuel as recommended, the problem persists. Occasionally, the power lift gate doesn't work as expected. Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with the vehicle and wish I had gone with an 08 Sequoia instead.

This car has some mechanical issues that need to be addressed. As a GM enthusiast, I have experienced some problems with both the engine and transmission, despite the fact that it is a new combo. JD Powers has rated it a 2 star for mechanical quality, which is a fair assessment. However, I believe that with some improvements, this car has the potential to be a great vehicle. It is important to acknowledge the current issues, but I remain optimistic about its future.

It's great to have a car that looks sharp and is enjoyable to drive. However, it seems like the engineers may have missed the mark when it comes to the interior design. Unfortunately, the rear pass. windows don't roll down all the way, which can be frustrating. Additionally, there are no pockets in the back side doors and no storage, which can make it difficult to keep things organized. The seats are also quite uncomfortable, which can make long drives a bit of a challenge. Despite these issues, there are some positives to this car. For example, it has a third row of seats, which can be useful for larger families. However, it's worth noting that the cup holders for the third row are only on the left side of the car. Lastly, there is a water leak in the sunroof, which is something to keep in mind. Overall, while there are some drawbacks to this car, it still has some great features that make it worth considering.

I have owned 3 Range Rovers from 2005 up until 2008 and I must say, I regret getting rid of my Range Rover. The difference in quality between my previous car and my current one is like going from a Porsche to a scooter. Unfortunately, the stitching is poorly done and the fake wood trim looks like plastic. Even from a side rear view, the Escalade doesn't look very appealing. The Escalade also idles very roughly, but I suppose that's to be expected from a GM car. It's possible that the car was built in a hurry by robots. Fortunately, I lease this car, so I can't wait to switch back to my beloved Range Rover.
