WHEN THEY CAME BACK ONLINE ME NOT KNOW WHAT THEY REALLY DID CHECK I WAS TOLD THAT ALL WAS A GREEN LIGHT, SO I PROCEED TO CONTINUE ON MY WAY TO WORK, BUT IT HAPPEN AGAIN AND I CONTACTED THEM AGAIN AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. NEVER ONCE DID THEY DIAGNOSTIC ONLY MEANT THAT THEY WAS JUST CHECKING FOR CODES AND IT WAS NOT A TRUE DIAGNOSTIC CHECK. THEY ALSO NEVER OFFER TO TOW THE VEHICLE HOME OR TO THE DEALER. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE HOME AND TOOK IT TO THE FIRST MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD THAT THE YAW RATE SENSOR NEEDED REPLACED AT $500 SOMETHING DIDN'T SEEM RIGHT SO I TOOK IT TO A GM CERTIFIED MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE HYDO-BOOST, PRESSURE HOSES NEEDED REPLACED AT $2600 ALONG ON THE PHONE BACK AND FORTH WITH ON STAR WHICH CLAIMED RESPONSIBILITY ON STAR STATED TO ME THAT GM TECH WANTED THE VEHICLE TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THAT THEY WOULD PAY FOR THE DIAGNOSIS TO SEE WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM. SO GM CAME AND PICK THE VEHICLE UP AND TRANSPORTED TO BOMMORITO CADILLAC OF WHICH THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND REPORT BACK TO ON STAR WHICH STATED THAT THEY WASN'T RESPONSIBLE AND THAT THEY BELIEVED THAT GM SHOULD HANDLE IT FROM HERE. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT GM CLAIMED NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS EVEN THOUGH YOU GUY'S AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS WARNED THEM ABOUT THE ISSUE WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM BEFORE AND THEY DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A SAFETY ISSUE. - Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPROGRAM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 14, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CADILLAC AT 1-866-982-2339, CHEVROLET AT 1-800-630-2438, AND GMC AT 1-866-996-9463.

We found the perfect vehicle for our family with four kids. It has ample trunk space and the kids love the extra room and captain's seats. My wife enjoys driving it and we are still discovering new features that we didn't even know existed. It was definitely worth spending extra money over the Chevy and the 6.0 liter engine runs great. This is by far the best SUV we have ever owned.

I love the Cadillac Escalade ESV. It has a beautiful exterior, luxurious interior and great hi tech gadgets. It is definitely great for family trips, as it is extremely comfortable. It makes me feel safe when I drive on the freeway. My husband definitely makes good use of it with his customers. I don't worry about mileage because a truck like this is definitely worth spending extra on gas. This is a vehicle worth driving!

The car's transmission has been experiencing issues, specifically a clunking sound when downshifting to a stop, despite the dealer claiming it is normal. This is not a normal occurrence in any car, including other Cadillacs I have owned. Additionally, the fuel economy is poor, with a combined city and highway mileage of only 12 MPG and requiring expensive high octane fuel. These issues are concerning, but can be addressed with proper attention and care.

This vehicle was sold to me as Cadillac Certified with an extended warranty, but unfortunately the dealer did not honor their commitment. Despite this setback, I have found Cadillac to be a reliable and high-quality product. While I have had to bring the car in for warranty work five times in the last ten months, these were minor issues that were promptly resolved. I am disappointed that the original warranty is about to expire and that the dealer and GM customer service have been unhelpful in resolving this issue. However, I still believe that this is a good vehicle, even if it lacks some of the features of newer models.
