This issue is not only a financial concern but also a safety as my vehicle has no abs, lights and will not run and drive. I have a car that I cant even repair because of lack of part production so now I'm out financially as well with no idea on how long it will take to get repaired.

It starts doing clicking sounds I had to have the firemen come and get me out of the road my car stopped since the second time this is so dangerous, they cannot figure out what’s wrong with it I replaced the battery @ the dealership, I’ve replaced the alternator at Aamco. I bought this car in 2016 new off the lot. I’ve had many problems with the electrical. This is just the worst .my radio turns on and off at Will .my driver side window will not roll down unless it’s below 30° outside which is super strange, and my air conditioning turns itself on turns itself off, but this was the scariest this is happened before last year and I had Aamco look at the transmission. They said that the transmission had a lot of metal in it that they have seen a lot in these dodges but they cleaned it out for me and it was fine, but this is the same thing that was happening and this is not a transmission Thing this is a power thing it just loses power completely. My car only has 100,000 miles on it I’ve taken care of my car I’m the only owner. All those miles are highway miles from visiting family. I never drive my car anywhere further and then in my neighborhood which is a .5 radius and I work from home so I rarely drive my car so 100,000 miles it isn’t a high number for a car that’s taken care of that isn’t driven often.

- Summary: On/about [XXX] I was driving from St. Petersburg, Florida to Winter Park, Florida. I was eastbound on [XXX]. The traffic was heavy and therefore slow. As I was proceeding at about 35 mph, the engine suddenly died. The vehicle became difficult to steer and the brakes felt abnormally difficult to apply. I was able to coast to the small space that separated the inside lane from the divider separating the eastbound lanes from the westbound lanes. After coming to a stop, I put the car in park. I then tried to restart the vehicle. The vehicle started normally and I resumed my travel. My safety and the safety of other drivers was put at risk by the sudden stopping of the engine in the middle of traffic. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. - Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.
- Consequence: If the vehicle maintains its speed or accelerates despite attempts to deactivate the cruise control, there would be an increased risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the software, and perform a software flash on the engine or powertrain control module, free of charge. The recall began June 4, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Note: Owners are advised to stop using cruise control until the software update has been performed. In the event that cruise control cannot be disengaged while driving, owners should firmly and steadily apply the brakes and shift the transmission to neutral, placing the vehicle in park once it has stopped.

- Consequence: If the displaced engine cover contacts the exhaust manifold, there would be an increased risk of a vehicle fire.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will install an improved mounting system for the engine cover, free of charge. The recall began on October 15, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is R32.

The affected vehicles may be equipped with tire placard labels which contain inaccurate seating capacity and occupant/cargo combined weight information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, "Tire Selection and Rims for Passenger Cars."
- Consequence: With inaccurate information on the tire placard, the operator may overload the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will install a correct tire placard label, free of charge. The recall began April 8, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P70.

The only issue I had with my 2015 was that the air and heat would turn on by itself, and every time I turned it off, it would pop back on. However, I loved this car so much that when my son crashed it, I decided to get a 2017 model. I was kind of surprised that there were very few upgrades, but I still love my Journey!

The Journey Crossroad V6 AWD is a fantastic vehicle! It has plenty of power to get you through heavy rush hour traffic, and the comfortable interior is full of hiding places for purses and other belongings. With 3 rows of seats, it's perfect for families, and its narrow design makes parking a breeze. Plus, the navigation and backup camera are top-notch, with no blind spots to worry about. And the best part? It's surprisingly affordable compared to similar models. While it may not get the best mileage, it's a small compromise for such a great car.

Recently, my family and I went on a camping trip. While driving up the mountain, we encountered some steep hills that proved to be a challenge for our car. Surprisingly, my sister's smaller car handled the terrain better than ours. Upon returning home, my wife was driving with our three young children when the car suddenly shut off, leaving her with no brakes or engine power. It was a scary experience for her, and we were all shaken up. We took the car to the dealership, and they found a hidden code that needed to be fixed. Although we were disappointed with the situation, we appreciated the dealership's help. However, we still had concerns about the safety of the car, especially with our young son. We considered trading it in for an older car, but unfortunately, we were told that we would be upside down on the loan. Despite our frustration, we want to share our experience to caution others against buying this car or going to Towbin DODGE for maintenance or to purchase a car. We hope that our experience will help others make informed decisions.

The front seats could be more comfortable, and the A-pillar may obstruct some side view traffic. Additionally, the car has large blind spots and the mirrors could be bigger. The rear seat headrests may also block the view from the rear window. The car tends to pull in one direction, which may affect steering. The transmission could be improved, as it takes a while for the V6 to reach highway speeds. The engine deserves a better transmission. The interior plastics may look cheap and may crack or break. At highway speeds, the windows may produce some noise. The car could benefit from better tires and suspension. I have had 5 of these as company vehicles since 2009. Overall, the design is okay, but there are some recurring issues that could be addressed by the manufacturer.

I purchased this car in 2019 when it had only 17k miles on it. It was a great car for my family of four, although the backseat did not have enough room to fit a rear-facing seat. Unfortunately, we started experiencing a lot of issues when the car reached around 60k miles. Despite numerous repairs and spending a lot of money, one issue continued to persist. The starter eventually went out at around 69k miles, and the car started stalling and misfiring. Additionally, this vehicle has quite a few open recalls. Based on my experience, I would not recommend buying a Journey to anyone unless you want the headache of costly repairs and not knowing if it will start or not. I suggest staying away from it because it will not last long.
