- Summary: Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2005-2008 Audi A4 Sedan, A4 Avant, S4 Avant and S4 Sedan, 2007-2008 RS4 Sedan, 2004 RS4 Cabriolet, 2007-2009 A4 Cabriolet and S4 Cabriolet, 2005-2011 A6 Sedan, 2006-2011 A6 Avant, and 2007-2011 S6 Sedan vehicles. These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.
- Consequence: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
- Remedy: Audi has notified owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag with an alternate remedy part, free of charge. The recall began June 29, 2018. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 69R7. Note: This recall supersedes recalls 16V382, 17V032 and 18V004 and includes vehicles that may have had their air bag previously replaced under one of those campaigns.

I purchased the S6 in November and was pleasantly surprised by its exceptional performance. The car handles everything with ease, from accelerating to braking and maneuvering. Despite its powerful 5.2 liter engine, the vehicle maintains a sleek and sophisticated appearance, resembling a nice A6. Passing someone on the road is a thrilling experience, as the rumbling of the engine catches their attention. Overall, the S6 is a true rocketship!

Compared to the Jag, BMW M5, and MB E63, the Audi seems to offer the best value for performance and interior quality. The ride is a little firmer than my CTS-V, but it's not punishing. The average MPG on the city/highway was 19, which is not bad for such a large car. The trunk is huge, and the seats are wonderful. The navigation, radio, satellite, and Bluetooth phone controls are easy to learn. It is as fast as my CTS-V was, but much more sophisticated. I haven't seen any S6s on the road, which is nice. I haven't found any negatives yet. It's a great choice if you're looking for a quick, comfortable, and roomy four-door sedan, and it was a lot less expensive than the Benz and Bimmer.

Simply an awesome vehicle. The V10 engine is unlike any other and the overall balance of the vehicle at high and low speeds is perfect. Interior features such as Bluetooth, iPod integration, and speech recognition are easy to learn and enjoyable. Interior comfort is superb and four people fit comfortably. A car that makes you want to drive more.

The car drove and performed well, but unfortunately, the service and reliability were a nightmare. I had many occasions where my car was never even looked at or serviced after having been left all day. Ultimately, I had to get rid of the car because of the poor service and reliability. I will never buy an Audi again.
