The Volvo S80 is an executive car produced by the Swedish manufacturer Volvo Cars from 1998 to 2016 across two generations. It took the place of the rear-wheel-drive S90 as Volvo's flagship sedan.

At this point I thought that maybe I needed a new rear shock, but when I got back on the road, the wobble was so bad that I couldn't drive 25mph. I drove about 20mph until I could get to a safe place to pull over which was only about a mile. I took the wheel off and this was the moment that I noticed the tire had swelled up to the point that it wouldn't stand upright. It just fell over. I bought the tire (Riken Raptor) brand new 11 months ago. There is still a lot of tread on the tire. I had the presence of mind to pull over as soon as I noticed something wasn't right. I fear that if I had been on an interstate highway going 70mph, then something really bad may have happened.

Made an appointment with Volvo dealership on 5/22/2023, they confirmed the windshield leak, water coming in from the top of the windshield. Advise to reseal or replace was told glass will continue to come loose if not taken care of. The windshield can cause an injury or accident if it comes a part while I'm driving. Many volvo's owners have this defective windshield. The leak is due to poor sealing during manufacturing of the vehicle's. This issue should be on the recall list and repairs done for free. All owners who had to pay for this repair should be reimbursed.The floor rugs should also be included in the recall, because it can cause health issue like mold, which is unhealthy. Safety for your customers should always come first.

Then what happens is that the water that gets in either fills up in the interior dome light areas or splashes out onto the gear shifter creating puddles. Also there is a fear that this can cause further electrical damage, Some of the lights on the gear shifter are already not working as a result. This moisture has also begun to deteriorate areas of the instrument panel as well.

I HAD THE PREVIOUS OWNER'S SERVICE HISTORY FOR THE CAR AND DISCOVERED THIS PROBLEM HAD OCCURRED 6 MONTHS PRIOR TO ME PURCHASING THE VEHICLE AND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP HAD ALREADY REPLACED THE SAME SEATBELT ASSEMBLY. SO INSTEAD, THE CURRENT DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE CONTROL MODULE FOR THE ENTIRE SRS SYSTEM. TWO DAYS LATER THE FAULT MESSAGE RETURNED AGAIN. THE CAR IS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE THIRD TIME NOW AND HAS BEEN THERE FOR A TOTAL OF ABOUT A MONTH. THEY ARE NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, BUT SUSPECT THE WIRING HARNESS UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGER FLOOR AREA. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE QUITE A BIT AND HAVE DISCOVERED A RECALL INVOLVING THE CONNECTION FOR THE CLOCK SPRING IN THE STEERING WHEEL FOR MY 2010, BUT MORE TELLING IS A RECALL AFFECTING 17,000 VEHICLES ENCOMPASSING MANY MODELS MY 2012 FOR A WIRING PROBLEM WHERE THE SEAT HARNESS MAY BECOME DISCONNECTED WHEN MOVING THE SEAT. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued 5 recalls for different components of the 2010 Volvo S80.

- Components: SEAT BELTS:FRONT
- Summary: Volvo Cars of N.A., LLC (Volvo) is recalling certain 2008-2016 V70 and XC70, 2007-2016 S80, 2011-2018 S60 and V60, 2016-2018 S60 Cross Country, 2014-2020 S60L, 2009-2015 S80L, 2009-2016 XC60 and 2015-2018 V60 Cross Country vehicles. The flexible steel cable that connects the seat belt to the front outboard seating positions may fatigue over time, causing the seat belt to not secure the occupant in the event of a crash.
- Consequence: An unsecured occupant has an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.
- Remedy: Volvo will notify owners, and dealers will replace the seat belt anchor cable for both front seats. The recall began December 10, 2020. Owners may contact Volvo customer service at 1-800-458-1552. Volvo's number for this recall is R10029.

I work as a tech with a US Volvo dealer and I must say, the S80 with the V8 is my absolute favorite! The design is amazing and the engine is simply fantastic. Today, I was able to reach 130 in seconds while taking a curve. This car definitely deserves its rightful place next to any Mercedes Benz or Audi. It's classy, makes you feel like you own the city inside, and when you see a speeder, you can pass them with ease. The only thing I don't like about this car is that it's a little too quick. It makes me want to run from the cops when they try to pull me over for speeding.

Hi there! I noticed that my black Volvo S80 has about 4500 miles on it. This is actually my second Volvo - I traded in my 03 S60 for this one. So far, I'm really happy with it! The build quality and materials are much improved compared to the S60. The only thing I've noticed is that the engine noise can be a bit intrusive at cruising speeds, which is surprising for a car that costs this much. I test drove Audi, Volkswagen, and Lexus, but ultimately chose Volvo because of the price. Overall, I'm really happy with my choice!

Came from XC90 to S80. It's a classy ride, with a big step across but not down. I love it! I needed a smaller size, good road ride, and more power, and I got it. I highly recommend going for the turbo and upgrade package. It's very nice, and Volvo has really stepped up their game. It's not just your old mom's car anymore. Nice!

Out of all the usual suspects from BMW, MB, Lexus, and Audi, I found myself liking the S80 T6 the most. Sure, it has a couple of quirks, but what car doesn't? The I6 turbo is incredibly responsive, produces great noises, and is super smooth - even more so than the competitors' V6 engines, and on par with the turbo I6 from BMW. I opted for the dynamic package, which really makes for a great handler without any undue harshness. Plus, the lowered suspension and package-specific wheels give it a more stylish and aggressive look. All in all, it's a great car!

Comparing my new 2010 S80, 3.2 to what I have driven before, such as the Audi A6, 2.7T, Volvo XC90 3.2 and Volvo S60 T5, I have to say that while it may not be the fastest car I've driven, it certainly has its own charm. I do miss that extra punch when I floor it, but the dealer did warn me that it wasn't as fast as what I was used to driving. However, I got a great deal on it and I'm really happy with my purchase. The car is elegant both on the outside and inside, with a signature Volvo design that has a slight modern flair, making people look twice. The enlarged name and logo really make a statement too. It handles well, and while I'm not completely blown away, I'm still impressed. The comfort is unrivaled and the engine is incredibly quiet.
