2022 Toyota Rav4 hybrid problems
The Toyota RAV4 (Japanese: トヨタ・RAV4, Hepburn: Toyota Ravufō) is a compact crossover SUV produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota. It is known for starting the wave of compact crossovers.
It made its debut in Japan and Europe in 1994, and in North America in 1995, being launched in January 1996. The vehicle was designed for consumers wanting a vehicle that had most of the benefits of SUVs, such as increased cargo room, higher visibility, and the option of full-time four-wheel drive, along with the manoeuvrability and fuel economy of a compact car. The vehicle's name is an abbreviation of "Recreational Active Vehicle with 4-wheel drive", or "Robust Accurate Vehicle with 4-wheel drive", although not all models come equipped with the four-wheel drive system.
For the third-generation model, Toyota offered both short- and long-wheelbase versions of the RAV4. Short-wheelbase versions were sold in Japan and Europe; long-wheelbase versions in Australia and North America. Toyota of Japan also sold the longer-wheelbase version as the Toyota Vanguard (Japanese: トヨタ・ヴァンガード, Hepburn: Toyota Vangādo) at Toyopet Store dealership chain from 2005 through 2016. RAV4 for the Japanese market were sold at two different Toyota dealership chains, Corolla Store and Netz.
In 2019, the RAV4 was the best-selling SUV of any type in the world, and the fourth best-selling passenger car overall. North America is the largest market, with 535,000 units sold in 2019, followed by Europe (133,000) and China (127,000). By February 2020, a total of 10 million RAV4s had been sold globally.

We recently traded in our 2016 RAV4 hybrid when used car prices skyrocketed. While the 16 hybrid was a great vehicle, we decided to upgrade to the new RAV4 XLE Premium. We were blown away by how much more refined the 2022 model has become. The handling is much more responsive and the acceleration is so much smoother. Toyota has made a dramatic improvement in the CTV transmission. We're also impressed by the upgraded driver safety features. The XLE Premium has the added benefit of upgraded seats, making it a versatile and enjoyable car to drive. Plus, with 40 plus miles to a gallon, it's a great choice for those looking to save on gas. Overall, we think Toyota has done a fantastic job with this model.

I recently purchased my first Toyota, a 2022 XSE Pearl Blizzard, and I couldn't be happier with the entire buying process. The vehicle is truly awesome, with all the bells and whistles, including a great sunroof. Not only does it look great, but it's also fuel-efficient, which is a huge plus. The black leatherette interior gives it a luxurious look and feel, and the control display is easy to operate. I've received many compliments on the car and it's been a fantastic driving experience. I highly recommend this vehicle and Gerald Toyota in Matteson, IL. My salesman, Edgar, was a great person to work with.

Pros: The power train is efficient and peppy. The contrasting silver and black metallic paint turns many heads. The car has been reliable and economical so far. Cons: The interior feels cheap due to road noise, fake leather, and abundance of plastic. The power liftgate is slow and finicky, and the advertised hands-free operation doesn't work, making it not worth the cost. This 2022 model comes with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, while other models have already implemented 3.0. The speedometer is not calibrated accurately, as when it says 80 mph, the car is only going 76 mph. I raised this issue with Toyota dealer, Fred Anderson Toyota of Sanford, and they told me Toyota allows up to a 10% inaccuracy before they will fix the issue. This is disappointing because other cars' speedometers were accurate.

I recently purchased a 2022 hybrid Rave 4 Limited with high hopes for its styling, comfort, and fuel economy. While I love the style, power, and technology, I have found that the seats are quite uncomfortable. In fact, I can't ride for more than half an hour without feeling the need to get out of the car. Unfortunately, this has led me to the difficult decision of selling my new hybrid with only 300 miles on it. I am disappointed that such an expensive vehicle does not have more comfortable seats. Perhaps adding some foam to the seats would improve the driving experience.

I purchased the car with the expectation of achieving good gas mileage, however, I am currently only averaging 34 mpg despite being advised to use premium fuel.

When I purchased the Rav 4 hybrid model S 2022, the dealer company informed me that the gas mileage would be between 38 to 41 miles per gallon. However, I have never seen more than 35.5 miles per gallon. During the winter season, the gas mileage drops to around 33 miles per gallon. Based on my experience, I would not recommend buying this car.
