Exceptions include the United States (since 2021), Canada (since 1996), Malaysia (which receives the Lexus LX instead), Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, Brazil, and most of Europe. In Europe, the only countries where the full-size Land Cruiser is officially sold are Gibraltar, Moldova, Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. ACCELERATION ISSUES EMERGED WITH MY 2000 MODEL TOYOTA-- [XXX] IN 2000, I BOUGHT A NEW TOYOTA LAND CRUISER.AT AROUND 45,000 MILES (STILL UNDER MANUFACTURER?S WARRANTY) OR AROUND THE END OF THE YEAR 2003, I BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE ISSUES WITH MY LAND CRUISER NOT ACCELERATING?EVEN THOUGH THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING, AND I WAS STILL DRIVING. AFTER TURNING THE ENGINE OFF AND WAITING FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES, I TURNED MY ENGINE BACK ON AND MY CRUISER WAS WORKING AGAIN. I BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM CONSISTENTLY, BUT SPORADICALLY OVER THE NEXT 4 YEARS. I NEVER KNEW WHEN MY CAR WOULD STOP ACCELERATING WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I DESCRIBED MY PROBLEM TO THE SERVICE ADVISOR, MR. BRIAN MURPHY, AND MY VEHICLE WAS ASSIGNED TO THE MASTER MECHANIC ROHAN TO EVALUATE. ROHAN KEPT MY VEHICLE FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS BEFORE BEING ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND AGREED IT WAS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. - Summary: TRAVELING AT 65 MPH ON FREEWAY. WE WERE CLIPPED BY ANOTHER CAR ON OUR RIGHT FRONT BUMPER. OUR SUV SLID TO THE LEFT CROSSING 3 FREEWAY LANES AND WE HIT HEAD ON INTO THE CONCRETE FREEWAY DIVIDER. OUR SUV SLIDE DOWN THE FREEWAY ALONG THE DIVIDER AND MADE ONE COMPLETE ROLL, LANDING AGAIN ON OUT TIRES. THE FRONT DAMAGE TO THE CAR IS MASSIVE. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. IN ADDITION THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT DID NOT LOCK. IT STAYED LOOSE DURING THE ACCIDENT. I HAVE EMAIL PICTURES OF THE DAMAGED SUV AND ALSO OF THE CONSOLE SHOWING NO AIRBAGS WERE DEPLOYED.

Using this vehicle at 9000' above sea level in Colorado Rocky Mountains has been an absolute joy. It glides along the interstate with ease, plows through snow on side roads, and handles ice, rain, snow, mud, and anything else with the plushest luxury I have ever experienced.

I'm glad to hear that your Landcruiser has been a pleasant experience during the first year and a half of ownership. The V-8 engine delivers plenty of power and smooth acceleration, while the ride is firm yet very controlled and stable. The handling is impressive for such a heavy vehicle, and the interior is spacious and comfortable. The fit, finish, and quality are impeccable. Although the gas mileage isn't great, it's not uncommon for SUVs. I hope that this vehicle will prove to be a reliable long-term investment, especially since you tend to keep your vehicles for a long time.

This is my second Land Cruiser, which I purchased after owning a GMC Suburban for a year. I must say, the ride, handling and build quality of this car is superb! The new V-8 provides more than enough power, and I get the same 15 MPG as I did with the 6-cylinder. This car is as comfortable on vacation as it is at the theatre. I believe that the folding third seats should be standard on every SUV. Like my previous Land Cruiser, it is the best car I've owned. With just regular oil changes and brake pads, I can enjoy maintenance-free driving. At 3 years old, it looks brand new, inside and out, and I couldn't say the same for my one year old GM product. I'll definitely be trading for another when my lease expires!

Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to share that we've had this car for over 6 years now and it still looks and drives like new! We looked at other SUVs in 2000 but nothing compared to this one, and still nothing compares to it. The only minor issues we've had were with the cd player and the brakes, but overall it's been a solid truck.
