The model introduced in 2022 for the Indian market only reuses the "Grand Vitara" nameplate. It is slightly larger than the SX4 S-Cross.

Hi there! I recently purchased this car to replace my 1994 Geo Metro. While the air conditioning has been a bit of an issue, both the dealership and Suzuki have been incredibly helpful in trying to resolve it, even after the warranty had expired. I actually used this car for pizza delivery for many years and it held up great! It's a fantastic car, especially with the top down, and I consistently get between 24 and 27 mpg whether I'm driving in town or on the highway. I haven't noticed any differences in mileage between the two. :)

I bought this car used in 2009 with 118K miles on it. I had a problem with a very squeaky belt, which I replaced, but it still squealed. Honestly, I don't remember what resolved this issue. The radiator cracked at 140K for the first time, and then cracked twice after (warrantied). It turns out the water pump was building too much pressure, so I replaced it. The O2 sensors were replaced at 160K. I have spent maybe $1000 over 5 years on maintenance (excluding oil changes, brakes, filters, tires, etc., and all labor was done by my loving father). Overall, this car has been very reliable and required little maintenance for an older car with exponential miles. It gets 22-26 mpg, with no difference between highway/city but winter/summer.

I bought my 2001 Suzuki Vitara used in February 2002 with one previous owner and 14K miles on it. It was in perfect running condition and I took great care of it throughout my ownership. I made sure to take it to the car wash every month and had the oil changed every 3,000 miles at Jiffy Lube, with all recommended service being performed as well. While it's important to note that these cars have a known issue with O2 sensors failing every 2-3 years, I would still recommend doing your research before purchasing one. Unfortunately, Suzuki never did anything to resolve this issue. If you do decide to buy one, expect to spend around $150-$300 every 2-3 years to have the sensor replaced. While I did experience some issues with my Vitara over the years, including a leaky radiator, failing pulleys, and various brake problems, I still managed to put 220,000 miles on it. However, it did cost me over $5,000 in repairs to keep it running. It's worth noting that Suzuki has left the US market, so finding parts for these vehicles may be difficult. All things considered, I would not recommend buying any Suzuki vehicle.Hey there! I just wanted to let you know that the steering knuckle also failed, which was a bit of a hassle to repair. I had to find a part from China on eBay since the repair shop couldn't find one from any of their suppliers. Hello! I wanted to share my experience with my Vitara. Unfortunately, at 56,000 miles, the clutch needed to be replaced. The dealer quoted me $993, but I was able to find a local mechanic who could do it for about $700. I did have some trouble finding aftermarket parts, but I was able to get it fixed. I ended up trading in my Vitara for a Dodge truck, but I did want to mention that the depreciation on the Vitara was quite significant. I use this car for work in the city. It's comfortable, quiet, and well assembled. Although it's not particularly peppy (automatic), it has good visibility and great maneuverability. The climate controls work fine. However, the back seat leg room is a bit tight if you have two adults in the front seats. My biggest concern is that I can't seem to exceed 20 mpg city/23 mpg highway, no matter how gently I drive.
