The Nissan Note (Japanese: 日産・ノート, Hepburn: Nissan Nōto) is a supermini/subcompact hatchback or a mini MPV manufactured and marketed globally by Nissan. Introduced in 2004, the first-generation Note was primarily marketed in Japan and Europe, and was produced in Japan and the United Kingdom. The second-generation model was sold in other regions, including North America where it was manufactured in Mexico and marketed as the Versa Note, and Thailand, where it serves as one of the B-segment hatchback offered by the brand alongside the smaller March/Micra under the Eco Car tax scheme.
In 2017, the second-generation Note was replaced by the French-built K14 Micra for the European market. The Versa Note was discontinued in North America in 2019 due to the decreasing demand for subcompact hatchbacks in the region. It continued to be produced and sold in Japan up to the introduction of the third-generation Note in late 2020.
The Note was introduced with a series hybrid drivetrain in late 2016 as the Note e-Power. Due to its popularity and the push of electrification, the third-generation Note is only available with the e-Power drivetrain, which consumes 29.5km/l (69m/USg).

- Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Nissan Altima, Armada, Frontier, Kicks, Leaf, Maxima, Murano, NV, NV200, Pathfinder, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Sentra, Titan, Titan Diesel, Versa Note and Versa Sedan vehicles, as well as Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX30 and QX80 vehicles. Additionally included are 2019 Nissan GT-R and Taxi and Infiniti QX50, QX60, Q70, Q70L vehicles. The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
- Consequence: The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Nissan will notify owners in phases, having dealers update the back-up camera settings software, free of charge. The recall began November 11, 2019 and all affected VINs should be activated. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) number 214, "Side Impact Protection," and 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
- Consequence: If the component detaches during deployment, it may enter the passenger compartment and be a projectile within the vehicle cabin, increasing the risk of injury.

Did you know that the gas tank on this car is only 10.8 gallons? This means that your driving range may not be as far as you'd like. While the paperwork may say 31/39 MPG, the reality is a bit different. However, with AC and cruise control, this car can get up to 47 MPG on long distance trips! Plus, the hatchback design provides plenty of space for all your chores. Although the paint around the hood corners may be flaking off, this car has had no major problems in the 3.5 years since purchase. By following the manual for maintenance and replacing simple things like air filters, you can keep this car running smoothly. Overall, it's a great car for those looking for good gas mileage and plenty of cargo space.YouTube can show you how to change the battery. My car is still going strong after 5 years, thanks to following the scheduled maintenance. I recently bought one tire and plan to buy two more in June during the regular maintenance check-up. The gas mileage in the city has finally improved to 31 MPG, which is great for rush hour traffic. The car can easily zip out of turns. As of 1-27-23, I have had no problems with the vehicle and have only needed to purchase tires, oil, and gas. As of 7-27-23, there have been no major repairs, only a battery replacement and new tires. I change the oil every 6 months and perform all maintenance on time according to the book. The car still looks brand new with only 28,000 miles on it. The only thing that needs to be changed are the wipers. As of 1-28-24, the car has about 34,000 miles and I continue to change the oil and perform maintenance on schedule. During a recent 2000 mile road trip with AC and cruise control through mountains and flat lands, the car averaged 40.8 MPG with no problems other than tires and batteries.

I was searching for an affordable hatchback to run errands around town, such as transporting my dog and carrying bulky items from Home Depot. Initially, I considered the Honda Fit, but the only trim level that offered in-dash navigation came with features like leather upholstery and heated seats that I didn't need. However, after reading a comparison article that included the Versa Note, I decided to check it out. I found that it was less expensive than the Fit, and the SR trim level offered navigation at a lower price point. After test driving and visiting several Nissan dealerships, I found the perfect car. Although I have only driven 500 miles, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I love the sporty look of the SR, which comes with alloy wheels, turn signals on the exterior mirrors, a roof spoiler, and fog lights. Despite being over 6 feet tall, I found that the upright stance of the car provided ample headroom. The engine is small but powerful enough for my needs, and I have no trouble accelerating from stoplights. The cabin noise is moderate, which is typical for this class of car. The interior is surprisingly spacious, especially the legroom in the backseat. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the features, such as automatic door locking, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink, a rear center armrest, and a trip computer in the instrument panel. This is a great manual shift car with extremely comfortable front seats. I purchased it new in the summer of 2014 and have driven it at highway speeds in very hot weather in Texas. The AC is excellent and the only expenses I've had are gas and oil changes for over 50,000 miles. The steering, brakes, and manual shift are all fine, and the tires are excellent. Visibility is also great. I purchased this car for trips over 3,000 miles and have had no issues with back or knee pain, which is surprising considering the only adjustments I made were for the seat's position and recline. Even a 6+ footer can comfortably sit in the back for 3,000-mile trips, and a child safety seat is no problem. At 45 mph, I get 40 mpg, and at 80 mph, I get 30+ mpg. The highest mileage I've gotten was over 40 mpg driving on flat 50 mph roads. The engine temperature gauge indicates the same in both summer and winter, and the traction in heavy rain is excellent. I've never driven on ice or snow, but I'm confident it would handle well. The manual windows work great, but the only inconvenience is that there are no power door locks or cruise control. I would have also liked to have a 6th gear. I could enter an 80 mph road at 80 with a reasonable uphill ramp, and the car would cruise at 80 to 90 indicated speed all day in Texas. I never exceeded 6k revs and would typically rev to 5700 to get to 80 mph. 80 mph would take 4K revs in 5th. There's enough power in 1st to chirp the front tires, and the car always feels safe and solid on the road. It still looks like new both inside and out.

Depending on your driving behavior and budget, the Nissan Versa is an excellent choice for the price. It offers great effectiveness, efficiency, and utility, and I paid only 16K out the door. With a mileage of 38.2 miles per gallon, it is a fuel-efficient car. Although I would love to have a Leaf or a hybrid, they are too expensive, and I refuse to pay that much for a car that is similar to my Versa. By the way, this is my third Versa, and I am still in love with it. If you are looking for a cost-effective, practical, and stylish car, the Versa is the perfect choice. It is easily 2-3K less expensive than the Yaris and Fit, and it outperforms them in every aspect. Enjoy!

Not a bad little car except for the CVT transmission. Fortunately, we had an extended warranty and the transmission was replaced at 61,000 miles. However, my wife drove the car for only 2 days before the transmission quit again. It is currently at the dealer awaiting repair. Although I no longer trust the car, I appreciate the support we received from the dealership. I would be hesitant to buy another Nissan product with the CVT transmission, but I am grateful for the assistance we have received.

I experienced some issues with the radio not functioning properly from the very beginning, but the dealership was able to resolve the problem. During the first oil change, I was informed that both front axle nuts were loosening, but the dealership was able to address the issue. Although the car handled well during a long-distance trip, I did notice some transmission slipping. As a result, I have scheduled a third repair appointment. While these issues are concerning, I remain confident in my choice of car and trust that the dealership will continue to provide effective solutions.

After experiencing the initial excitement of having a new car, you may begin to notice some issues with the vehicle. Unfortunately, the windshield has unexpectedly popped and the dealer has been unwilling to replace it. Additionally, there was a safety recall six months ago that the dealership failed to inform you about, which is concerning. Furthermore, after consulting with mechanics, it has become apparent that the CVT transmission requires more expensive maintenance and shop time than anticipated. Hi there! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share my experience with my 2015 Nissan Versa Note SV. While I did have to replace the transmission this year (2020), I unfortunately found out that my 5yr Powertrain warranty had expired by just a month. Nissan was unable to assist with the repairs, so I ended up paying $5,000 for a new transmission. It turns out that this is a common issue for the Versas and Sentras from 2012-2017, so I would recommend being aware of this if you own one. If you're considering trading in your car, it may be worth doing so before the CVT transmission gives out. Nissan offered me $2,500 for my car with the broken transmission, so keep that in mind.
