2019 Nissan Rogue problems
The Nissan Rogue is a compact crossover SUV produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan. It made its debut in October 2007 for the 2008 model year. Beginning in 2013 for the 2014 model year, the model has been merged with the X-Trail sold outside the North American market, making them identical. It is currently Nissan's best-selling vehicle in the United States.
As of 2023, the Rogue was manufactured at the Nissan Smyrna Assembly Plant in Tennessee, United States and at the Nissan Motor Kyushu plant in Kanda, Fukuoka, Japan. Between August 2014 and March 2020, it was also built at the Renault Samsung Motors plant in Busan, South Korea under contract.
First generation (S35; 2007)
The first-generation Rogue made its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on 7 January 2007. It replaces the Nissan X-Trail in Canada as Nissan's entry-level SUV and the body-on-frame Nissan Xterra in Mexico due to the Smyrna plant freeing capacity for the Suzuki Equator, although the Xterra continued on sale in the United States and Canada through 2015 after being withdrawn from the Mexican market after the 2008 model year.
The first-generation Rogue was available in three trim levels in the United States: S, SV and SL, available with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

SERVICE BRAKES,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM PROBLEM

And try’s to stall when accelerating Then it starts to jerk real hard and dies sometimes it doesn’t take off from the light. Also the car starts breaking out of nowhere causing to a sudden stop. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2024-09-11
- VIN: JN8AT2MT6KW
- Components: FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
- Summary: Twice in the past week (9/11 & 9/14), the AEB has engaged while I was driving (forward) despite NO vehicles/objects/people obstructing the path. Yes, it is available for inspection upon request. There was no beeping, no lights on the dashboard, or any other warnings prior to the AEB just abruptly stopping my car. Luckily I wasn't on the highway or going very fast because otherwise it would be EXTREMELY dangerous (whiplash, getting rear-ended, serious injury or death of myself or other driver(s), etc.). I took it to Nissan of Downtown LA to be looked at 9/14/24 with a 12PM appointment, but they were rude, not accommodating, and ultimately did not inspect it ("The mechanics are all probably at lunch, and it's late now anyway. We close at 4pm.") I told them specifically what the issue was and that it did not seem safe to just be driving around. Apparently Rogues are infamous for these AEB problems and have been recalled before, but not the 2019s. Entered the VIN on KBB and no recalls currently.
POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2024-09-04
- VIN: KNMAT2MV0KP
- Components: POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary: I was driving my daughter to school and started hearing a crunching noise, mostly when I turned or stopped. It also sounded like rattling. Once I got to my daughters school the noise became extremely loud and there was a loud bang and smoke coming from behind my car. It smelled burnt. A piece of my car had broken from underneath. After my husband looked at the car he found it to be the rear differential that exploded from under my car. I had the vehicle towed to my house because its not safe to drive. What I am most am concerned about is there was no warning or light that came on to indicate I had a issue with my car that required servicing.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2024-08-06
- VIN: 5N1AT2MV6KC
- Components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary: Driver side door look slips and does not lock fully creating a life and safety issue for our families Rogue. This problem was addressed by Nissan in 2015 only, (vehicles manufactured June 5, 2015, to June 13, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the driver side front and rear doors may not fully latch. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 206, Door Locks and Door Retention Components."") but this is still an issue and I am having the same problem in my 2019 Rogue. Not sure why Nissan is not willing to fix the problem in additional Rogue years since this is still a life and death issue for the safety of the drivers.
AIR BAGS,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2024-07-08
- Crash: 1

Due to the automatic brake system went off it cost me to have an accident and ruin my car. Nissan said that they fixed this issue but I have had multiple incidents in the past I have had it break in the middle of oncoming traffic thank God there was no one around there was no accident then. And then it happenee in May of this year and the AES broke my brake system when there was no reason for the AES to come on. July I had gotten into a crash due to the AES again and the Airbag didn't deploy when in a crash.

- Date Of Incident: 2024-05-28
- VIN: 5N1AT2MV0KC

- Summary: I was driving and suddenly the gas pedal gave out my vehicle never shut off but would not accelerate even with trying to floor the pedal. Then it jolted off into traffic and the gas pedal went right back out within 45 seconds and glided into a parking spot. It took me 3 hrs to find a mechanic to come to me because it was after business hours and there were NO LIGHTS on the dash and engine was running extremely quiet code P0776 was what his computer said and nissan dealers and other mechanics all are saying I need a new transmission. The vehicle is jolting on and off coming out of parking spots hesitant on acceleration. Another mechanic didn't pull up any new codes just previous codes and as I've said there has never been a light on my dash and I get regular fluid changes filters tires etc, I was told the alternator is losing voltage it should be at 14 or better and mines was at 13. I don't even know where to begin seeing as though there are no lights ever on my dash and I've had my truck for almost 4 years and now it's a guessing game.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE PROBLEM

- VIN: 5N1AT2MV1KC
- Components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
- Summary: IN first or second year of ownership the car spontaneously braked on 2 occasions. Both times after going over road damage. - I had no damage and thought related to rd condition, did not report. About 2 weeks ago Chassis warning came on momentarily then malfunction error came on but went off for rest of day. Next day Malfunction Error for AEB system came on again AND HAS REMAINED ON. I had trusted independent auto body shop computer person run scanner evaluation. some 30 items lit up but 2 didnt clear suggesting possible wire harness. On line many customers noted difficulty finding the right dealer or repair shop the first time , often going to several before problem corrected, Nissan says all dealerships are independent and wont recommend one. Consumers talk about possible recall pending for 2017,18,19 Rogue. mine is 2019. I want to go to most expert for this concern -should it be a collision expert or general dealer repair for this safety concern. Thank you
FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2024-02-16
- VIN: JN8AT2MV5KW

The automatic emergency brake light came on at the same time. This is a safety hazzard in that the system can just engage without cause. In the parking structure, there is a chance of being reaer-ended and hurt. If this happened on a highway or at a faster speed, injury or death could occur. I have seen online that there have been concerns about this happening in this model Rogue. i will be communicating with the Nissan company also.

2019 Nissan Rogue recalls
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued 3 recalls for different components of the 2019 Nissan Rogue.
- Manufacturer: Nissan North America, Inc.
- Components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:ANTI-THEFT:IMMOBILIZER/PROXIMITY:KEY/SENDER
- Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Rogue and 2017-2022 Rogue Sport vehicles equipped with a jackknife style ignition key. The jackknife key may collapse into a folded position while driving.
- Consequence: Driver contact with a key in the collapsed position could inadvertently shut off the vehicle while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, if the vehicle shuts off while driving, the air bags may not deploy in a crash as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
- Remedy: Dealers will insert a spacer into the key slot of the jackknife key, free of charge. Interim notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed March 29, 2023. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 30, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R22C5.
- Manufacturer: Nissan North America, Inc.
- Components: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM)
- Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Rogue Hybrid vehicles. Contact with the Electronic Control Module (ECM) bracket may damage the engine harness, causing a blown fuse.
- Consequence: A blown fuse may cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Dealers will install a harness protector cover, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 16, 2021. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R21B6.
- Manufacturer: Nissan North America, Inc.
- Components: BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
- Consequence: The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Nissan will notify owners in phases, having dealers update the back-up camera settings software, free of charge. The recall began November 11, 2019 and all affected VINs should be activated. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200.

Your rogue runs really well and is such a great ride! It's awesome that your dog loves the car too!
-
First time owning a Nissan. I'm so glad to say that I'm very impressed with how it handles. Also, every time I take my Rogue for service at a Nissan dealership, I receive top notch service.
-
Hi there! Your vehicle is superb!
-
I initially gave it 4 stars because I had trouble with the blind spot, which was scary. However, after driver training, I was able to resolve the issue and now I give it 5 stars. I learned how to set the Rogue rear view mirrors, which makes for almost no blind spot. Additionally, there is a blind spot sensor and flashing light that alerts you if a vehicle is present. I have been driving a Rogue for 5 years now and I love the great turn radius, which makes it so much fun to drive. I first bought a Rogue to tackle the mountain drive up skiing and for a mountainous daily work commute, which included ice, rain, and snow for a 40 minute commute going up and down windy mountainous highways and dirt roads. I used all weather tires and studded snow tires and had no troubles. I felt safe while carefully in command of the road. I understand that an AWD can slide right off the road, so getting daring is not my thing. It's disappointing not to see a Rogue in the top 10 reviews, but I searched to see why. The quality of my interior has held up well, even though I am just one person and not a family. Dark interiors do show dirt easier, but they look great when cleaned up.

We acquired this car at the end of 2019 for a great deal. Although we had some issues with the delivery and car condition, we have no claims and it now drives smoothly and quietly. The seat comfort is great and all safety features work well, alerting you to any potential incidents. The 360 degree camera system is awesome and easy to use.

My 2009 Nissan Rogue experienced transmission failure at only 118,000 miles. As an expert in the automotive industry, I can confidently say that this is an uncommon occurrence. I will investigate the issue and provide a solution to ensure that this does not happen again in the future.

I love the Texas Longhorn Orange color of my SUV, but I'm experiencing some issues. Although I've taken it in for regular service and tire rotations, I already need new tires at only 37K miles. While the warranty is basic, I should have considered a Hyundai Kona instead. This is my first Nissan after owning Toyotas for the last 15 years, and I'm not entirely impressed.
Zachary Bashirian 2024-03-28
Hi there! I noticed that my 2019 Rogue is experiencing the same issues as my 2018 model. Specifically, the radio keeps shutting off for no apparent reason. Have you experienced this problem as well?
