The GranCabrio, the convertible version, was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and produced from 2010 to 2019. The GranCabrio Sport, introduced in 2011, featured a 450 PS (330 kW; 440 hp) engine. The GranCabrio MC, launched in 2013, had improved aerodynamics and a 460 PS (340 kW; 450 hp) engine.
The second generation, GranTurismo II (M189), was revealed in 2022 and began production in April 2023. It offers three models: Modena, Trofeo, and Folgore (electric). Based on the Giorgio Sport platform, petrol engined models feature a newly-developed 3.0-litre Nettuno twin-turbocharged V6 engine, with the Trofeo variant being the most powerful at 550 PS (400 kW; 540 hp). The Folgore model is a battery electric version with a range of 450 kilometres (280 mi).

- Summary: Maserati North America, Inc. (Maserati) is recalling certain 2015-2018 Granturismo and 2016-2018 Granturismo Convertible vehicles. The air bag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may have a defective power supply capacitor that can cause a deactivation or inadvertent deployment of the air bag.
- Consequence: A deactivated air bag increases the risk of injury. An inadvertent deployment of the air bag increases the risk of a crash.
- Remedy: Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the air bag ECU, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 30, 2019. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737. Maserati's number for this recall is 386.

I'm so glad to be sharing my thoughts on this Luxury Sports Car! It's an absolute joy to drive and the engine sounds absolutely marvelous. Even the rear seats have plenty of room for two passengers. I only wish I had purchased it earlier in life.

You have to see this car in person! Photos just don't do it justice. It's the ultimate executive car - comfortable, luxurious, and fun. Even though the back seat can fit two full-size adults, the car doesn't look large from the outside. The interior is so Italian that no German car can match it. And the best part? You'll be the only one driving it!

This is definitely an exotic car! I was originally looking for a Porsche 911, but I stumbled upon this beautiful 2012 Maserati Granturismo S with only 24k miles. I never considered owning a Maserati before because the MSRP was $135,000. However, the quality of this car is incredible. The 4.7 LTR Ferrari Engine is stunning when you pop the hood. The front of this car is classic and I just love looking at it. The only downside is that it doesn't have a backup and forward camera, but that can be added. Maintenance is in line with other exotic brands, but it's only scheduled every 2 years. I add an oil change every year. Costs can be reduced by buying oil, filter, engine air filter, and cabin air filter. I change the air filters myself and have the dealership change the oil/filter labor only. They also do a multi-point inspection free of charge to make sure everything looks good. By doing some maintenance myself and providing oil/filter, I can almost cut costs in half. Driving the GTS is an experience and it turns heads. A Corvette driver even came up to me and said it was beautiful and the best sounding car!

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share my experience with my car, which I purchased back in June 2010. Despite owning it for 15 months, I have only put 2600 miles on it. Recently, I encountered an issue with the ENGINE light coming on twice during the 13th month. The first time, it was cleared by computer, but the second time, I had to have it towed to the dealer to fix a faulty valve. Additionally, within the last 3 weeks, I had both side mirrors' glass pieces separate from the base/frame with cord attached. The driver's side failed first, followed by the passenger side 3 days later. The dealer informed me that this issue only happened to some 2010 models, and unfortunately, I am one of the few who experienced it. They determined that the adhesive between the glass piece and base was weak, and they replaced them with new ones that were glued together. I hope this information is helpful. I always take my time to do plenty of research before making a purchase that I intend to keep without any regrets. A friend recommended a Gran Turismo over a Mustang GT, and although I was initially nervous about buying an Italian car, I am so glad that I did! The exhaust sound is absolutely incredible and the robotised gearbox (MC Shift) makes driving an absolute joy. When I change gears using the paddles on the steering wheel, it upshifts or downshifts in just 100th of a millisecond. It feels like I'm driving a race car or even a Ferrari! My Maserati GT handles the roads like it's on tracks and I can't help but smile every time I'm behind the wheel. It's been incredibly reliable, and my partner who is 6ft7 has no issues with headroom, unlike other sports cars. I can even fit my adult friends in the back seats, making it an excellent touring vehicle. I just love driving and owning this car, and it's exotic and admired by everyone. I've had no issues, and this car loves to be driven like it should - high RPM and miles for smiles. Thank you, Maserati, for creating such an amazing sports car and tourer all in one - it's just so much fun!

It's a beautiful car, very stylish. Although it may be considered more of a girls' car, it still has its charm. Unfortunately, it may not be the best choice for a man looking for a high-performance vehicle, as it tends to get beat by Mustang GTs and other performance cars. However, it does handle well. It may not have the horsepower or brute force, but it's definitely a showstopper!
