The Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio are a series of grand tourers produced by the Italian manufacturer Maserati, succeeding the Maserati Coupé and Spyder.
The first generation GranTurismo (M145) was introduced at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show and was produced from 2007 to December 2019. It set a record for the fastest development of a car, going from design to production in just nine months. The model featured a 4.2-litre V8 engine initially, which was later upgraded to a 4.7-liter engine in the GranTurismo S variant. The GranTurismo MC, a racing version developed for the FIA GT4 European Cup, and the GranTurismo MC Sport Line, a customisation programme, were also part of the lineup.
The GranTurismo Sport, introduced in 2012, replaced the GranTurismo S and featured a revised 4.7-litre engine rated at 460 PS (340 kW; 450 hp). The GranTurismo MC Stradale, unveiled in 2011, is a more aerodynamic version with a 450 PS (330 kW; 440 hp) engine and reaching a top speed of 303 kilometres per hour (188 mph). The GranCabrio, the convertible version, was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and produced from 2010 to 2019. The GranCabrio Sport, introduced in 2011, featured a 450 PS (330 kW; 440 hp) engine. The GranCabrio MC, launched in 2013, had improved aerodynamics and a 460 PS (340 kW; 450 hp) engine.
The second generation, GranTurismo II (M189), was revealed in 2022 and began production in April 2023. It offers three models: Modena, Trofeo, and Folgore (electric). Based on the Giorgio Sport platform, petrol engined models feature a newly-developed 3.0-litre Nettuno twin-turbocharged V6 engine, with the Trofeo variant being the most powerful at 550 PS (400 kW; 540 hp). The Folgore model is a battery electric version with a range of 450 kilometres (280 mi).

- Summary: I WAS STOPPING FOR A RED LIGHT AND NOTICED THAT THE CAR WAS NOT STOPPING NORMALLY. I REALIZED THAT PART OF MY SHOE WAS STILL ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WHEN I INTENDED IT TO BE ONLY ON THE BRAKE. THIS HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL ARE EXACTLY IN LINE WITH EACH OTHER AND VERY CLOSE TOGETHER. EVERY OTHER CAR I HAVE EVER DRIVEN HAD AN OFFSET BETWEEN THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. I CONTACTED MASERATI BUT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THAT EVERY GRANTURISMO IS DESIGNED THIS WAY AND THEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I CONSIDER THIS A VERY DANGEROUS DESIGN DEFECT THAT COULD EASILY ALLOW INADVERTENT ACTUATION OF THE ACCELERATOR WHEN TRYING TO BRAKE CAUSING CATASTROPHIC CONSEQUENCES. I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share my experience with my car, which I purchased back in June 2010. Despite owning it for 15 months, I have only put 2600 miles on it. Recently, I encountered an issue with the ENGINE light coming on twice during the 13th month. The first time, it was cleared by computer, but the second time, I had to have it towed to the dealer to fix a faulty valve. Additionally, within the last 3 weeks, I had both side mirrors' glass pieces separate from the base/frame with cord attached. The driver side failed first, and then the passenger side failed 3 days later. The dealer informed me that this issue only happened to some 2010 models, and I guess I am the 'lucky' one to have both sides fail. They determined that the adhesive between the glass piece and base was weak, and new replacements had them glued together. Overall, I still enjoy my luxury car, but I wanted to share these issues with you. Thank you for your time and attention.

I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to share my experience with my S coupe that I bought last year with less than 30k. I have to say, it's the most comfortable car I've ever been in! It sounds great and while it may not be as fast as some of the other high-end cars out there, it's definitely more than fast enough and drives like a dream. Plus, being 8 years old, the price I paid was very reasonable compared to what they are brand new. Thanks for listening!

Absolutely gorgeous rolling sculpture! The looks can make a grown man cry. It was designed by the famed Pininfarina and has a Ferrari sourced engine that sounds out of this world. If you buy a well-maintained, low mileage one at the lowest curve of depreciation, you have a winner!

I'm so glad to be sharing my thoughts on this Luxury Sports Car! It's an absolute joy to drive and the engine sounds absolutely marvelous. Even the rear seats have plenty of room for two passengers. I only wish I had purchased it earlier in life.
