FOR ONE TEST I DID, THE CAR WAS IN THE GARAGE AND COOL (SO EXISTING HEAT FROM THE CAR BEING PARKED IN THE SUN WAS NOT A FACTOR). I STARTED THE CAR, TURNED ON THE SEAT COOLERS AND GOT OUT (SO BODY HEAT WAS NOT A FACTOR). I COULD VERY SPECIFICALLY FEEL HEAT ON THE TOP PANEL OF THE SEAT BACK (BOTH THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND THE PASSENGER SEAT). I TOOK IT INTO MY LOCAL LEXUS DEALER (SEPTEMBER, 2015) AND THEY REPORTED "SEATS COOLING PROPERLY WITHOUT FAULT". HOWEVER, AS THERE ARE 3 OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE, THERE WOULD PERHAPS SEEM TO BE A NON-ISOLATED PROBLEM.
SEATS PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2016-06-01

I HAVE THE COLD AIR ON IN THE CAR AND THE COLD AIR ON IN THE SEATS AND I CAN HAVE BOTH AT MAXIMUM COOL AND IT WILL STILL HEAT UP. WORSE IS THAT IT IS RANDOM BUT HAS BEEN OCCURRING ON OTHER CARS TOO AS SEEN IN FORUMS. WHEN YOU TURN THE COOLING SEATS OFF IT WILL COOL DOWN AND WHEN YOU TURN THEM BACK ON THEN IT WILL HEAT UP AGAIN.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SEATS PROBLEM
- Date Of Incident: 2015-07-03
- VIN: JTHHE5BCXF5
- Components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SEATS
- Summary: WHEN I'M USING MY VENTILATED SEATS THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT IS NICE AND COOL BUT IT FEELS LIKE THE MY BACK IS BEING HEATED. I ALWAYS HAVE VENTILATION ON LOWEST SETTING. THE TOP OF THE SEAT BETWEEN SHOULDER BLADES... VERY HOT!??? SERIOUSLY. I FELT IT WITH MY HAND, AS IF THE VENTILATION WAS SHORTING THE HEATING ELEMENTS. IT STAYED HOT A WHILE AFTER I TURNED OFF VENTILATION. THEN IT COOLED. HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME ON MY WAY HOME. THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT WAS COOLING BUT MID BACK THE SEAT GOT VERY HOT. TURNING IT OFF DID CUT THE HEAT AND THEN IT WOULD COME RIGHT BACK WHEN I TURNED IT ON. AND IT SEEMED TO BE GONE. THIS HAPPENED TO ME. TO MAKE SURE I TURNED ON THE VENTILATION ON THE PASSENGER SIDE TOO, NO ONE SITTING IN IT. IT WARMS UP AT THE SAME SPOT AS THE DRIVER SIDE. JUST BELOW SHOULDER BLADE AREA. THE SEAT PORTION IS COOL AND YOU CAN FEEL THE AIR. THE BACK (WARMER PART) IS NOT EMITTING AIR, BUT JUST HOT. TURNED THE SWITCH ON AND OFF, BUT STILL GETS HOT IN THE THE BACK. FINALLY, TURNED THE CAR OFF FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES. TURNED IT BACK ON, AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY. HOWEVER, I FEEL THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL RETURN. JUST USED VENTED SEATS I EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME THING. COOLING ON THE SEAT AND IT GOT VERY HOT ABOUT WHERE MY SHOULDER BLADES ARE. IT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE ENOUGH THAT I WAS COOLER LEAVING THEM OFF. I TAKE IT INTO THE DEALER FOR THE 5K CHECKUP SOON. THE BACK OF THE SEAT HEATING IS REALLY ANNOYING!! HOPE IT'S A QUICK FIX! THEY CAN'T REPLICATE THE PROBLEM, THUS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE. ALTHOUGH I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THE FACT THIS PROBLEM IS NOT RESOLVED, I KNOW THAT THE PROBLEM IS OCCURS AT RANDOM. WE JUST HAVE TO KEEP THEM AWARE THAT THE PROBLEM EXIST BY REPORTING IT. THE SERVICE WRITER CREATED A CASE NUMBER (IT'S PRINTED IN THE PAPERWORK) AND SUBMITTED TO LEXUS CORP. HOPEFULLY WE GET A FIX FOR THIS SOON.

I was on the hunt for a sports car that looked great, was reliable, had a back seat for my two small children, and had AWD for snowy conditions. After months of searching, I found the perfect car. The BMW 4 series was a close contender, but concerns about reliability, unremarkable styling, and the sheer number of BMWs on the road led me to choose this car. The only downside is that it's not as fast as it looks! It's slower than I expected, but the ride and handling are exceptional. Update: The car is still fantastic and continues to turn heads as it drives by. The gas mileage isn't great, averaging around 16 in town and 23-25 on the highway. The only issue I've had is that the paint is very thin and scratches and stains easily. Regular washing and waxing have helped, but it's something to keep in mind. Update: The car still looks and drives great, with no mechanical or electrical problems. The only complaint I have is that the paint scratches easily. Despite this, the car still turns heads four years later, and I've kept it in immaculate condition.

This car is a great combination of a hot rod and a luxury sedan. It offers the best of both worlds, although getting in and out can be a challenge for some. The front seats are very comfortable, while the rear seats are better suited for kids or small packages. As some others have mentioned, the navigation controls can be a bit confusing, and I also had trouble figuring out how to change XM radio stations from the steering wheel mounted controls. The climate controls themselves are a bit hard to reach, especially the dashboard mounted radio tuning knob if you prefer to sit farther back from the steering wheel. However, the car is pretty quiet and makes for a great cruiser. Acceleration is adequate under normal conditions, but the car really shines when you step on it - and it sounds amazing. I chose the Lexus RC 350 AWD over the BMW 428XI because I wanted something more unique and reliable. Overall, I would definitely recommend the RC 350 to anyone looking for a reliable and distinctive luxury sports coupe under 60 grand.

This is an excellent machine! It's intuitive and has an understated elegance. The quality of materials is top-notch, and the fit, finish, and paint are meticulous. Lexus got it right in the first year with this coupe, something Infiniti couldn't do with the G37 and A5 since production. It's a wonderful car, delivered in perfection. The gas mileage is also good, and it has a very nice ride. Plus, it's one of the best-looking coupes out there!

I recently traded in my 2006 Crossfire for the RC and I must say, I'm really enjoying it! Although the Crossfire was faster, the RC has a lot of perks being 9 years newer. The ride is great and the looks are stunning - I get compliments all the time! At 6'1, I find it easier to get in and out of the RC compared to the Crossfire. Overall, I would rate it a solid 4 stars. I had no problems with the Crossfire and I hope the reliability of the RC will be the same. Personally, I think they should get rid of the nav system altogether and just use our phones. The voice recognition isn't very good and it's a waste of money. I've found this to be the case with most cars. The mousepad is okay, but I would prefer buttons and knobs. I give it a 5+ for looks and a solid 4 for everything else. I got the Infrared with all black F sport.

This car is a great choice for those who value comfort and reliability. While BMW and Mercedes offer more powerful engines, the Lexus strikes a good balance between what's important in the long run. The RC's bold styling sets it apart from the everyday cars you see on the road. The only downsides are the less-than-stellar MPG, the dated infotainment system, and the engine's modest 306hp. However, the power is plenty for everyday driving and passing, and it's adequate enough for some fun on the streets. Many Lexus owners agree that the infotainment system needs an overhaul ASAP, but it's not horrible. Gas mileage can be decent if you drive carefully, but you can quickly find yourself in the 17-19mpg range in the city trying to escape traffic. Overall, I would buy this car again and hope to see Lexus fix some of the minor issues in the future (such as a turbo 6, updated infotainment, and weight reduction).

I have driven this car for 3 years with under 11k miles and have had to replace the front brake rotors from aluminum to steel due to a design defect. Additionally, I had to replace a rear shock because of a faulty part. Currently, the front facing A/C vents are not functioning properly, as they are spewing cold air on the driver's side and hot air on the passenger side, even without dual climate control enabled. I have scheduled another trip to the dealership to address this issue.

The steering can be a bit challenging and the vehicle alignment may cause some issues, especially on wet surfaces. While some dealerships have stated that the car is within spec, I had a less than satisfactory experience with a few of them. However, I must say that Lexus of Tampa Bay went above and beyond to handle correcting the issue and pleasing a customer. Once corrected, the car has indeed been pleasing to drive and is definitely a head-turner. If you are a Toyota brand enthusiast, you may want to consider a V6 Camry or a Lexus IS and save some money. Overall, my experience has made me a one-time Toyota/Lexus brand buyer, but I appreciate the effort made by Lexus of Tampa Bay to make things right.
