- Summary: The dashboard is defective in that it melts when exposed to heat and becomes sticky. Although initially it started off as a cosmetic issue, the melting of the dashboard causes it to be very glossy to the point where it reflects onto the front windshield and creates a blind spot on the front windshield when driving. This poses an immediate safety hazard when driving as it's sometimes difficult to see objects that are right in front of the car while driving. The defective dashboard has been confirmed by the dealer and manufacturer. Although the manufacturer issued a customer support program to replace the dashboard, it was not a mandatory recall and the support program has since expired. Additionally, the support program initially described the malfunction as only a cosmetic issue. However, over time, this cosmetic issue has started to impact drivability in certain conditions while putting the driver and others at risk.

- Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and Lexus dealers will install new wiper arm nuts, free of charge. An interim letter was mailed to owners on April 4, 2013. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331.

Great car! I drive it daily and absolutely love it. The USB color is especially cool. While it can feel a little heavy during stop and go traffic, it's still a real head turner that everyone seems to love. I have no regrets and haven't had any problems with it yet. Plus, being a Toyota, I don't have to worry about all the issues that come with European cars.

I'm writing this review after 2 months of owning it. I was considering the M3 and this, but after reviewing reliability histories and the true price difference AFTER options, I decided to take a gamble on Lexus's new fastest car. This car strikes the perfect balance between a race car and daily driver, it is noticeable but not too flashy, and can be either boring or crazy fun, depending on your mood. To sum it up, I have very little regret over this purchase and unless it's a Bentley, Lambo, or Ferrari next to me on the road, I never feel outdone.

I've been driving this car for three months now and I must say, I'm really impressed with its gas mileage. At 26mpg on the highway and 18mpg in the city, it's quite good for a car with over 400 horsepower. The ride comfort is also not bad, especially since I live in The Woodlands TX where the roads are pretty smooth. The power is amazing and it's a very good-looking car. If you're looking for a powerful and luxurious car, this is definitely the one for you!

Pros: This car is incredibly fast and has excellent handling, making it very predictive and sure-footed. The build quality is excellent and the cabin is comfortable for a sports car. The car is also very quiet on smooth pavement and has extremely fast gear changes in manual mode. The brakes are powerful and the car is very well-equipped with useful options. Additionally, the fuel economy for a V8 is excellent. Cons: The steering can be a bit too firm at low speeds and the car is a bit heavy, making it less tossable than a smaller sports car. The Mark Levinson sound system is mediocre in quality and the ergonomics are not as intuitive as Acura/Honda. The automatic transmission can be a bit sluggish unless switched to manual mode. The cabin can also be loud on rough surfaces or when under wide-open throttle.

I test drove the new M3, C63, and IS-F after owning 2 M3s and 1 C55. I ultimately chose the IS-F because I've never owned a super sedan from Toyota before (plus, I had a modified Supra). The IS-F has the advantage of cheaper ownership costs, better reliability, and better fuel economy compared to the M3 and C63. However, the resale value is lower than the M3 (not the C63), even though the IS-F is an exclusive model. The M3 and C63 are more fun to drive, have better build quality, and better handling than the IS-F. It's worth noting that the IS-F doesn't have a manual transmission like the M3 (not the C63) and is slightly slower than the M3 and C63, but not by much.
